Abstract

Pasien perempuanlebih banyak dibandingkan laki-laki, yaitu 34 pasien(61,8%). Keluhan klinis utama terbanyak adalah nyeripunggung sebanyak 36 pasien (65,5%). Lokasi lesivertebra terbanyak adalah regio torakal sebanyak 21 pasien (38,2%), diikuti regio lumbal sebanyak 20 pasien (36,4%). Defisit neurologis ditemukan pada 32 pasien (58,2%). Seluruh pasien mendapatkan tata laksana kombinasi obat antituberkulosis dan operasisebanyak 55 pasien (100%). Outcome terbanyakadalah membaik sebanyak 53 pasien (96,3%), sedangkan 2 pasien (3,7%) meninggal. Kesimpulan: Profil pasien spondilitis tuberkulosisyang dirawat inap di RSPAL dr. Ramelan periodeJanuari 2024–Desember 2025 didominasi oleh kelompok usia produktif, jenis kelamin perempuan, keluhan utama nyeri punggung, lokasi lesi torakal, disertai defisit neurologis pada sebagian besar pasien, mendapatkan kombinasi obat antituberkulosis dan operasi, serta sebagian besar memiliki outcome membaik saat keluar dari rumah sakit.

Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac Arrest in children can cause hypoxia and cerebral ischemic that potentially affect long term neurological complication, include Cerebral Palsy. Brain damage caused by prolonged disruption of perfusion and oxygen supply can result in permanent motor impairment, spasticity, seizures, and developmental delays. Method: This study used a case report design on a 5-year-old boy with cerebral palsy after cardiac arrest. Data were obtained from the patient's medical records, supporting examination results, and clinical evaluations during treatment and rehabilitation. Results: The patient experienced cardiac arrest due to ventricular tachycardia accompanied by epilepsy and underwent intensive care with a ventilator, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), and tracheostomy. After stabilizing, the patient experienced neurological disorders in the form of a vegetative state, severe spasticity, recurrent seizures, increased physiological reflexes, and delayed motor development, leading to a diagnosis of spastic cerebral palsy. Management was carried out multidisciplinaryly through antiepileptic therapy, physiotherapy, range of motion (ROM) exercises, spasticity inhibition, and long-term medical rehabilitation. Conclusion: Cardiac arrest in pediatric patients can cause hypoxic-ischemic brain injury that can progress to cerebral palsy as a long-term neurological complication. Prompt treatment, intensive care, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation are crucial in maintaining motor function, preventing further complications, and improving the patient's quality of life.
