Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the lecture method in Al-Qur’an and Hadith learning among Grade X students at MA Perguruan Gubahan Islam. The lecture method remains widely used in Islamic Religious Education because it enables teachers to deliver learning materials systematically, directly, and efficiently. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observations of the learning process, interviews with the Al-Qur’an and Hadith teacher and students, and documentation related to the implementation of learning activities. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the lecture method in Al-Qur’an and Hadith learning was implemented through several stages, including material preparation, systematic delivery of learning content, provision of examples and explanations, and evaluation of students’ understanding. The lecture method helped teachers deliver Al-Qur’an and Hadith materials efficiently and enabled students to obtain direct explanations from the teacher. However, its implementation needs to be combined with question-and-answer sessions, discussions, and assignments to encourage students’ active participation and prevent them from becoming merely passive recipients of information. Therefore, the lecture method can be effectively applied in Al-Qur’an and Hadith learning when it is planned, communicative, and adapted to students’ characteristics and learning needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher strategies in enhancing student active learning in the Islamic Religious Education (IRE) subject at SMP Rahmat Islamiyah. This research employs a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included classroom observations, in-depth interviews with IRE teachers and students, and documentation. The findings indicate that the strategies applied by teachers encompass the use of participatory learning methods (such as group discussions, role-playing, and interactive QA sessions), the integration of technology-based media, and the provision of positive reinforcement (rewards and praise). The primary obstacles encountered were varying initial student interest and time limitations, which were addressed through personalized approaches and diversified learning activities. Overall, the implementation of varied and communicative strategies proves effective in boosting students' active engagement during IRE instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the congregational Dhuha prayer habituation method on building student discipline character at MTs-MA Al-Ittihadiyah Pangkalan Masyhur Medan. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation from a randomly selected sample of students. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The findings indicate that the congregational Dhuha prayer habituation method has a positive and significant effect on the development of students' discipline character. Routine and structured religious practice effectively enhances students' punctuality, compliance with school regulations, and personal responsibility awareness. Therefore, implementing this habituation method is effective as a character-building strategy within the madrasah environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the group discussion method on students’ learning activeness at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang. The study was motivated by the importance of creating a learning process that encourages students to participate actively by expressing opinions, asking and answering questions, and collaborating in solving learning problems. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of students at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang, while the sample was determined using a sampling technique appropriate to the characteristics of the population. Data were collected through questionnaires measuring the implementation of the group discussion method and students’ learning activeness. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and simple linear regression to determine the effect of the group discussion method on students’ learning activeness. The results indicate that the implementation of the group discussion method has a positive effect on students’ learning activeness. The method encourages students to communicate more actively, express opinions, provide responses, ask questions, answer questions, and participate in completing group assignments. Therefore, the better the group discussion method is implemented, the higher the level of students’ learning activeness. This study concludes that the group discussion method can serve as an effective learning strategy for increasing student participation in the classroom. Its implementation should be supported by effective group management, proportional task distribution, and the teacher’s role as a facilitator so that all students have equal opportunities to participate actively in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning engagement through the implementation of the discussion method in the Akidah Akhlak subject for Class XII A at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were students of Class XII A at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results showed that the implementation of the discussion method was able to improve students’ learning engagement. The improvement was reflected in students’ participation in asking and answering questions, expressing opinions, collaborating in groups, and actively participating in the learning process. The discussion method also created a more interactive and communicative learning environment and encouraged students to express their ideas confidently. Therefore, the discussion method can be used as an effective learning strategy to improve students’ learning engagement in the Akidah Akhlak subject.

Abstract

This study aims to develop website-based learning media using Google Sites on the topic of the Spread of Islam in Indonesia and to analyze its use in increasing students’ learning interest at SMK Telkom 2 Medan. This study employed a Research and Development (RD) method using the ADDIE development model, which consists of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The learning media and content were validated by expert validators, while trials were conducted with students to determine their responses and learning interest after using the website-based learning media. The results showed that the Google Sites-based learning media developed in this study was feasible for use in the learning process. The media presents learning materials in a more interactive, systematic, and accessible manner through digital devices. Its implementation also received positive responses from students and contributed to an increase in their learning interest in the topic of the Spread of Islam in Indonesia. Therefore, website-based learning media using Google Sites can serve as an alternative learning medium for Islamic Religious Education that supports engaging, flexible, and technology-oriented learning in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relevance of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning in shaping students’ character and work readiness in vocational high schools. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Religious Education teachers and vocational high school students. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Islamic Religious Education learning has strong relevance to students’ character development, particularly in terms of honesty, discipline, responsibility, cooperation, ethics, and integrity. These values are not only related to students’ personal development but also constitute important competencies for entering the workplace. Islamic Religious Education learning that is connected to real-life situations and workplace environments can help students understand the importance of professional ethics, responsibility, communication, and work attitudes based on Islamic values. Therefore, Islamic Religious Education in vocational high schools functions not only as religious instruction but also contributes significantly to developing students’ character and preparing them to enter the workforce as professional, ethical, responsible, and integrity-driven individuals.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using flashcards on students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery at MA Istiqomah Sri Gunting. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The research subjects were students of MA Istiqomah Sri Gunting who participated in Arabic language learning. Data were collected through Arabic vocabulary mastery tests administered before and after the implementation of flashcard-based learning. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to determine the differences and effects of flashcard use on students’ vocabulary mastery. The results indicate that the use of flashcards had a positive effect on students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery. Flashcards helped students recognize, remember, understand, and use Arabic vocabulary more easily. The use of this medium also created a more engaging and interactive learning environment, thereby increasing students’ attention and involvement in the learning process. Therefore, flashcards can be used as an effective alternative instructional medium for improving students’ Arabic vocabulary mastery at MA Istiqomah Sri Gunting.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of religious content on social media on students’ understanding of Islamic teachings at SMAN 3 Medan. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of students at SMAN 3 Medan who actively use social media, with the sample determined using a sampling technique appropriate to the characteristics of the population. Data were collected through a questionnaire measuring the intensity and utilization of religious content on social media and students’ level of understanding of Islamic teachings. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and regression analysis to determine the influence of religious content on social media on students’ understanding of Islamic teachings. The results indicate that the utilization of religious content on social media influences students’ understanding of Islamic teachings. Religious content presented in an engaging, informative, and accessible manner can serve as an additional source of knowledge for students. However, the use of social media needs to be accompanied by digital and religious literacy skills so that students can distinguish valid Islamic information from information that lacks sufficient credibility. The study concludes that social media has the potential to serve as a supporting medium for learning and strengthening students’ understanding of Islamic teachings when used selectively, critically, and responsibly.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the question-and-answer method on students’ learning engagement in the Al-Qur’an Hadith subject at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang. The study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of students participating in Al-Qur’an Hadith learning at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang, while the sample was determined using a sampling technique appropriate to the characteristics of the population. Data were collected through a learning engagement questionnaire and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including validity testing, reliability testing, normality testing, simple linear regression analysis, t-test, and coefficient of determination. The results indicate that the implementation of the question-and-answer method has a positive effect on students’ learning engagement. The method encourages students to pay greater attention to learning materials, ask questions, provide answers, express opinions, and participate actively in classroom interactions. Therefore, the question-and-answer method can be used as an effective instructional strategy to improve students’ learning engagement in Al-Qur’an Hadith learning at MAS PAB 4 Klumpang.
