Abstract

A firm needs enough capital to push up its growth. There are many sources of fund, such as retained earnings, debt and equity. The firm should choose one which can maximize the value of the firm, identical with minimize the weighted average cost of capital. To use equity as its funding, the first step must be taken by the firm is offering stock in the primary market, this called Initial Public Offering. A commin phenomena happened in the IPOs in underpricing. This paper first tried to review the definition and process of IPOs and also explore many theories to explain underpricing. Abstract

Expectancy theory has emerge as the dominant process theory of motivation, originally developed by Vroom is a theory explaining the process individual use to make decision on a various behavioral alternatives. The motivational force for a behavior, action, or task is a function of three distinctive perceptions: expectancy, instrumentality, and valance. The theory contains of two models: for the precition of valance of an outcome, and the other for the prediction of force toward behavior. It provides a general framework for assessing, interpreting, and evaluating employee behavior in learning, decision making, attitude formation, and motivation.Keywords: expectancy theory, expectancy, instrumentality, valance

Abstract

Strategic management studies want to find how a firm gains its sustainable competitive advantage. Organization culture may provide a source of sustainable competitive advantage. Organization culture also has some influences in the strategic management process. But, there are only limited studies to explore the relationship between organizational cultrue and the management strategic process within a firm. This literature study aims to seek a good fit between a specific type of organizational culture and a specific type of strategic management model. Abstract

Penelitian ini ingin mengkaji seberapa besar pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai SBU Pos Prima Direktorat Operasi PT Pos Indonesia (Persero).Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Descriptive dan Explanation Research Method, dengan teknik pengumpulan data angket, yang dikumpulkan dari responden dengan jumlah 114 orang pegawai SBU Pos Prima. Teknik analisis data adalah Model analisis Jalur (Path Analysis Models) dengan uji statistika uji-t.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: besarnya pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan terhadap kinerja pegawai SBU Pos Prima berimplikasi positif terhadap kinerja pegawai yang meliputi dimensi hasil pekerjaan dan perilaku kerja. Namun kinerja pegawai SBU Pos Prima ini tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor gaya kepemimpinan saja, tetapi ada faktor lain (epsilon) yang juga berpengaruh, yang tidak dikaji dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The existence of high quality lecturer is a main condition on high quality education systems and practice. Almost every country in the world always develops the policy which support the existence of high quality lecturer. One of the policies which is supported by the government in many countries is the intervention policy which is directed to quality enhancement, to give sufficient welfare to the lecturers. With Multiple Classification Analysis Application in determination of factors which affect lecturer's salary, this research results are that the factors which affects the lecturer's salary significantly are academic position, sex and employment categories. It is hoped that this research will give understanding to the lecturers on the importance of academic stage administration which will results on the escalation of employment categories of the respective lecturers. Having the management of ministry (students' ministry) is not simple; because it's concerning the subject are the college students who haven't many experiences. On the other hand, every year the students who manage this ministry are always changing. Advertising addresses to create consumers' affection and cognition; besides, affect buying behaviour. Advertising also used to create long-term image's product or to trigger sales. It can be formed if we can understand costumer's behaviour which created the advertising itself.
