Abstract

This study aims to develop a desktop-based student tuition fee payment information system using Visual Basic .NET 2010, with the goal of improving the efficiency of payment data management, reducing tuition arrears, and providing convenience for students in making payments. The system development method used is the waterfall method, which includes stages of requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and implementation. The developed system is equipped with features such as student data input, online tuition payment, payment report generation, and payment notifications via email. System testing was conducted by involving several users to gather feedback and evaluation. The results show that the developed tuition payment information system functions well and meets user needs. This system is able to improve payment data management efficiency by 93.61% and also reduce tuition arrears. However, there are still some issues that need improvement, such as integration with the academic information system and the development of mobile payment features.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven innovations in various sectors, including the culinary industry. Coffee Shop UM.Co faces challenges in improving the efficiency of the ordering process and customer service. Therefore, this study aims to develop a QR Code-based Menu Ordering Information System using Visual Basic Studio 2010. This system allows customers to scan the QR Code on the table using their mobile devices, then select and order the menu directly without the need to wait for a server. The system development method uses the Waterfall model, which includes stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The developed system includes key features such as digital ordering, menu management, and transaction reporting to support the operational efficiency of Coffee Shop UM.Co. The test results show that this system is capable of improving the speed and accuracy of orders, reducing queues, and providing a better customer experience.

Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of an employee scheduling information system using Visual Basic Studio 2010 to facilitate work schedule management within a company. The objective of this research is to develop an application that can generate efficient and flexible work schedules while minimizing human errors in schedule planning. The system integrates employee data, work shifts, and the company's operational needs into one easy-to-use platform. The application development uses Visual Basic Studio 2010 as the development environment, with key features such as employee data input, automatic schedule creation, and scheduling reports. The system implementation results show that the application is capable of improving time efficiency, simplifying schedule management, and reducing errors in employee scheduling. Therefore, this system can make a significant contribution to companies in enhancing productivity and employee satisfaction.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an efficient and user-friendly word translation application based on Visual Basic .NET 2010. This application is designed to support translation between English and Indonesian, focusing on speed and accuracy. By using a database-based word matching technique, the application provides fast translation results without requiring complex algorithms. Testing shows that this application produces accurate translations and has a user-friendly interface, making it accessible to users from various backgrounds. The results of this research contribute to the development of more efficient translation applications that are accessible to a wider audience.

Abstract

This study evaluates the impact of a Visual Basic (VB)-based administrative system on office productivity, focusing on time efficiency, data accuracy, and administrative workload. Using a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design, the results show significant improvements in administrative efficiency, reduced processing time, fewer errors, and more streamlined workflows after system implementation. The importance of incremental development is also emphasized, allowing system refinement based on user feedback. These findings enrich the literature on office automation with empirical evidence that VB can enhance productivity, speed up processes, reduce errors, and simplify administrative tasks. Future research could explore the long-term impact and cost-benefit analysis of implementing this technology. The practical implication is that organizations can improve their administrative efficiency by implementing VB-based automation systems.

Abstract

The fundamental issue in the photography service industry in Padang City lies in the dominance of conventional transaction mechanisms, which result in scheduling inefficiencies and low service transparency. This study focuses on the design and development of an information system in the form of a marketplace platform called Ragam Lensa as a technical solution to digitalize these business processes. The system development methodology applies a structured software engineering approach utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML) to precisely design the data architecture and user interfaces. The system is built using dynamic web-based technologies to ensure broad accessibility for users. The outcome of this design and development process is the creation of a digital infrastructure capable of integrating portfolio search functions, real-time schedule availability validation, and accountable transaction management within a single unified ecosystem. System testing demonstrates that the architecture successfully converts manual workflows into automated processes, minimizes data redundancy, and enhances the validity of bookings. It is concluded that the development of the Ragam Lensa system significantly contributes to improving operational efficiency and strengthening the competitiveness of photography service providers through service infrastructure modernization.
