Abstract

This research aims to describe the moral values ​​in the novel Man and the Storm by Syahid Muhamad, describe the social values ​​in the novel Man and the Storm by Syahid Muhamad, and utilize moral values ​​and social values ​​in the study of literature in high school. This research is qualitative descriptive research, namely collecting, analyzing, using qualitative analysis techniques, namely Analysis of Moral Values ​​and Social Values ​​in the novel Man and his Storm by Syahid Muhamad and its use as teaching material in high school. The data source is the novel Man and his Storm by Syahid Muhamad. Publication year 2022 published by Gradien Mediatama with 248 pages. The approach taken in analyzing this research data uses a sociological approach with a Content Analysis content analysis strategy. The moral values ​​found in the novel consist of 6 honest values. Be yourself 11 quotes. Responsible for 4 quotes. Independence as many as 6 quotes. Moral courage as many as 7 quotes. Humility as many as 8 quotes. Critical of 7 quotes. Meanwhile, the social values ​​found were the value of love with 11 quotes. Responsibility for 4 quotes. Concern as many as 20 quotes. Empathy as many as 9 quotes. Collaboration with 6 quotes. Please help as many as 5 quotes. As for its relevance to being used as teaching material, the novel is worthy of being used as teaching material at the high school level because: 1) the novel is the work of a famous person in the world of literature, especially prose literary works; 2) the novel is a serious novel; 3) the novel is rich in life values, in this case moral and social values; 4) Suitability as teaching material has been approved by various validators such as lecturers, teachers and students. This study of the novel Man and his Storm by Syahid Muhamad is in accordance with the validation results given to the validator; and 5) learning about the values ​​in a novel is at the high school level. TP.12.5 students assess and criticize the intrinsic elements of characterization, plot, story, setting, and depiction of society in the novel.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning and function of mantras in the Cibaliung Pandeglang Banten area. The study conducted by the researcher includes what meanings are contained in the mantras and what functions are in the mantras. Meaning is a description of the mantras that indirectly provide messages to us as readers and those who preserve them, especially the people in Cibaliung village. Mantras also function to provide solutions or ways out when people experience obstacles in their lives. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method, namely analyzing mantras in their meaning and function, and the author conducts interviews with informants who have these mantras. Thus, the research will be objective and the author obtains relevant data.

Abstract

the purpose of writing this thesis is to describe the message or meaning contained in the lyrics of Sundanese selawat in Pamarayan village, Jiput sub-district and its use as learning material in junior high schools. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods that focused on content analysis. The data and data sources in this research are Sundanese selawat texts in Pamarayan village, such as: words or lyrics of Sundanese selawat. The instrument used in this research was the researcher himself with a theory validation test. Based on the description of the results of the analysis of moral values and religious values in Sundanese Selawat poetry in Pamarayan Village, Jiput District, Pandeglang Regency and its use as poetry learning material in junior high schools, several moral value messages were found in the lyrics of this Sundanese Selawat poetry, including: worship, pray, repent, be grateful, take care of yourself, be patient, not be greedy, not be arrogant, respect parents, respect teachers, and love peace. And several religious value messages were found in the lyrics of this Sundanese Selawat poetry, namely: repentance, patience and trust. The results of this research can be implied as learning material in junior high schools

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Project Based Learning Model on students of X SMKIT MA Bolang. This research was conducted using the experimental method. Class X students for the 2024/2025 academic year were used as the population. The samples taken were class X AP1 and class X AP3 with a total of 92 students. The sample technique uses Random Sampling. The results of posttest calculations using the Project Based Learning learning model obtained Mean (x ̃) = 81.06, Median (Me) = 81.00, Mode (Mo) = 80.00, Variance = 21,596, and Standard Deviation = 4,647. Meanwhile, posttest calculations using the conventional data processing learning model obtained Mean (x ̃)= 73.47, Median (Me) = 74.50, Mode (Mo) = 75, Variance = 15,568, and Standard Deviation = 3,946. Based on the data above, it can be said that the Project Based Learning learning model is considered good, while the Conventional learning model is considered sufficient. From the results of the analysis above, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence of using the Project Based Learning learning model on the ability to write narrative essays of class X SMKIT MA Bolang students. Abstract

Imagination suggestion method through instrumental music media on the poetry writing skills of class XI high school students. Difficulty in thinking creatively in high school students is characterized by students having diffuculty working on questions that are different from those given by their teachers. This research aims to determine the difference in the influence of the writing skills of students who learn using the imagination suggestion method and students who use the literacy learning method. The method in this research uses quantitative methods. The population and sample in this study were class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Cihara in 2 classes seleced at random or random sampling, The isntrument used in this research was a poetry writing skills test. The test used is a question type test. Based on the results of data analysis from this research, the conclusions were obtatiend: There is a difference in the influence of the poetry writing skills of students who learn using the imagination suggestion method and students who learn using the literacy method. The poetry writing skills of students who learn the imaginave suggestion method are better than students who learn using the literacy method. This can be seen from the results of the hypotesis test, namely by using the Mann-Whitnney Test from the results of the gain score data, that the results obtained are an Asymp Sig value of 0,005 < 0,05, meaning that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be stated that there is a significant difference in the influence of the imaginative suggestion method through instrumental music on the poetry writing skills of high school students. Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of comic media on the writing ability of short stories of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku in the academic year 2024/2025. The ability to write short stories is an important aspect in the Indonesian language learning process aimed at developing students' creativity, imagination, and language skills. However, students often face difficulties in writing short stories, especially in generating story ideas, developing plots, and using language effectively. This research uses an experimental method with a Control Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The research population consists of all Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku, totaling 123 students. The sampling technique used Random Sampling, resulting in Grade XI-1 being selected as the experimental group and Grade XI-4 as the control group, each with 30 students. The experimental group received short story writing lessons using comic media, while the control group used series of pictures as media. Data was collected through pre-test and post-test of short story writing ability. Data analysis used independent t-test to observe significant differences between the two groups. The results of the analysis indicate a positive and significant influence of using comic media on the writing ability of short stories of Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Cijaku. The average post-test score of the experimental group using comic media (78.36) was higher compared to the control group using picture series media (64.46), with a calculated t-value of 8.620 and a critical t-value of 1.684 at a significance level of α = 0.05. The calculated t-value is greater than the critical t-value, therefore based on the hypothesis testing criteria, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This indicates that comic media is more effective in enhancing the writing ability of short stories of students compared to picture series media. This research has important implications for Indonesian language teachers in selecting appropriate learning media to enhance students' short story writing abilities. Comic media can be an effective alternative to increase students' motivation, interest, and writing skills. Furthermore, this research also provides recommendations for schools to provide innovative and engaging learning media for students, making the learning process more effective and enjoyable.
