<![CDATA[This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of multisensory teaching method in learning writing narrative text at class X students of SMA Pasundan Banjaran, Bandung regency. In this research, the researcher used one of quantitive research methods, namely quasi experimental by using literature review, trials, test, assessment technique analysis as research design. The findings shows that multisensory teaching method is appropriate method to teach writing narrative text. It proven from results of statictically assessment with significancy different of two mean between pre-test and post-test. The post-test score is tcount 16.52 > ttable 2.04 at significancy level 0.05 with 24 degrees of freedom. It means, learning writing narrative text by using multisensory teaching method in learning writing narrative text at class X students of SMA Pasundan Banjaran, Bandung regency is good. So that, the researcher concludes that multisensory teaching method is appropriate to use in teaching writing narrative text.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the lack of ability of the students in writing skills. Learning to write especially in school is less to get the dominant concern. So, students’ skills in writing are still very low. Psychologically most students assume that writing activities as a burden because they feel less able to use the Indonesian properly. Methodologically, the teacher are generally less variable in choosing the method use. Another reason underlying this study is students’ critical thinking is very low. This is due to lack of attention to critical thinking of studens in the school. Based on thrse reason, a method of problem based learning and tested in SMAN 19 Bandung should be applied. The purpose of this study id to determine the result of applying the method in teaching writing and critical thinking exposition. To achieve these objectives the method use in this study is quasi-experimental.]]>

<![CDATA[Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada kajian nilai-nilai moral dalam Novel Si Camar Jonathan Livingston Karya Richard Bach.Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganaisis nilai-nilai moral dalam novel Si Camar Jonathan Livingston karya Richard Bach merupakan penelitian deskriptif.Kemudian, teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis isi. Teknik penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karya seseorang, dengan cara mendeskripsikan dan menyimpulkan. Sintak dari teknik ini adalah (a) Membaca dan memahami karya sastra; (b) Melakukan identifikasi karya sastra; (c) Pengelompokkan atau klasifikasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai-nilai moral yang terdapat pada novel Si Camar Jonathan Livingston karya Richard Bachyang juga dijadikan sebagai sumber data pada penelitian ini.Permasalahan penelitian ini mengungkap nilai-nilai moral yang ada dalam novel.Hasilnya mengungkapkan, dalam novel ini pada akhirnya dapat diketahui bahwa nilai-nilai moral yang terkandung adalah nilai moral sabar, kerja keras, kasih sayang dan peduli.]]>

<![CDATA[This research is motivated by the low writing skill of students' argumentative essay causing low student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is the experimental method conducted at SMAN 17 Pandeglang by taking class X students in the 2015/2016 academic year as a population. The sample technique used is cluster random sampling. The draw results conducted on the five existing classes were obtained, namely the X-IPS 1 class as the experimental class and X-IPS 3 class as the control class. Each class is 25 and 24 students. Thus the number of samples in this study were 49 students. The experimental class is given treatment, namely the learning process using the SAVI model (Somantik, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual). Whereas the control class uses the expository model. Based on the results of data analysis in statistical calculations, it can be concluded that there is a positive effect of SAVI learning model at student writing skill of argumentative essay at class X, SMAN 17 Pandeglang 2015/2016 academic year. This is indicated by data from the analysis using the t-test formula, obtained t-count 2.984. Whereas t-table for the significance level of 0.05 with degrees of freedom (df) 47 obtained t-table 2.014. Because t-count is greater than t-table (t-count> t-table), which is 2.984> 2.014, then the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. By rejecting of the null hypothesis (Ho), then the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, it means that there is significant effect of using SAVI learning model at student writing skill of argumentative essay.]]>

<![CDATA[This study analyzes conversational implicatures in Tere Liye's The Special Child novel and its use as teaching material in high school. This study aims to describe common conversational implicatures and their use as teaching materials in high school. The author's reason for conducting this research is to understand the novel not only by reading it as a whole but also to interpret the implicit messages contained in the novel by understanding the conversational implicature, the context of the conversation, and the form of the conversation. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The techniques used in data collection are reading strategies and note-taking techniques. The data source of this research is the data source obtained only based on the novel The Special Child by Tere Liye, which is analyzed using Nadar's theory. Data analysis uses three stages: data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The study indicates that conversational implicatures in the novel Si Anak Special by Tere Liye found as many as 25 general conversations. 3.9 about analyzing the content and language of the novel. With the learning objectives, students can analyze the content and language of Tere Liye's The Special Child novel, which contains conversational implicatures]]>

<![CDATA[Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat kali ini dilatarbelakangi rasa kepedulian terhadap limbah lingkungan disekitar tempat tinggal warga masyarakat yang tidak jauh dari pesisir pantai. Limbah lingkungan tersebut yaitu tempurung kelapa yang dibiarkan tanpa kebermanfaatan. Melimpahnya pohon kelapa disekitar pesisir pantai membawa dampak terhadap pengelolaan limbah tempurung kelapa. Pemahaman dan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pemanfaatan limbah tempurung kelapa masih sangat kurang sehingga pentingnya memberikan pemahaman dan solusi terhadap permasalahan lingkungan tersebut. Adapun metode yang ditetapkan pada PKM kali ini dalam bentuk kegiatan sosialisasi dan cara pengolahan limbah tempurung kelapa menjadi bahan bakar alternatif briket yang ramah lingkungan. Briket memiliki keunggulan diantaranya mampu menghasilkan panas yang tinggi, tidak beracun, tidak berasap, waktu pembakaran atau nyala bara api yang lebih lama, dan berpotensi sebagai pengganti batu bara. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini memberikan pemahaman dan solusi tentang pengelolaan tempurung kelapa menjadi bahan bakar briket sehingga diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan kepedulian masyarakat terhadap lingkungan dan sebagai upaya dalam menumbuhkan ekonomi kreatif masyarakat di desa Cigondang kecamatan Labuan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan pengetahuan atau pemahaman masyarakat setelah dilakukan sosialisasi dan pembuatan bahan bakar briket serta melakukan tindak lanjut dalam pemasaran atau penjualan briket. Abstract: This community service activity was motivated by a sense of concern for environmental waste around where residents live which is not far from the coast. The environmental waste is coconut shells which are left without any use. The abundance of coconut trees around the coast has an impact on the management of coconut shell waste. Public understanding and awareness of the use of coconut shell waste is still very lacking, so it is important to provide understanding and solutions to these environmental problems. The methods set out in this PKM are in the form of outreach activities and methods for processing coconut shell waste into environmentally friendly alternative fuel briquettes. Briquettes have advantages including being able to produce high heat, non-toxic, smokeless, longer burning time or ember flame, and have the potential to be a substitute for coal. The aim of this activity is to provide understanding and solutions regarding the management of coconut shells into briquette fuel so that it is hoped that it can foster community awareness of the environment and as an effort to grow the creative economy of the community in Cigondang village, Labuan subdistrict. The results of this activity show that there has been an increase in public knowledge or understanding after conducting socialization and making fuel briquettes as well as carrying out follow-up in marketing or selling briquettes.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the use of Grammatical Cohesion contained in the vice presidential candidate debate in 2024 and its utilization as teaching material in high school. This research was conducted using descriptive method with the research object of the 2024 vice presidential candidate debate. The data collection techniques used were documentation study techniques and content analysis. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification. Based on the results of the analysis, 25 reference devices, 6 substitution devices, 20 conjunction devices were found. Each of these Grammatical Cohesion elements has a very important role because it can create sentences that are interrelated with one another, so that listeners better understand every message conveyed in the debate. The findings can provide deep insight for students about the use of cohesion in oral communication, so as to improve students' ability to understand texts, besides that the findings of this study can be utilized as the development of teaching materials that are more interactive and contextual. The vice presidential candidate debate event analyzed for the use of grammatical cohesion can be used as an example in teaching materials, so that these learning activities can encourage students to practice making cohesive sentences in oral discourse skills, one of which is in a debate.]]>

<![CDATA[Analisis Implikatur Percakapan Khusus dalam Novel Si Anak Spesial Karya Tere Liye adalah sebuah penelitian mengenai analisis implikatur percakapan yang terdapat pada Novel Si Anak Spesial karya Tere Liye dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan implikatur percakapan khusus yang terdapat pada Novel Si Anak Spesial karya Tere Liye. Alasan yang mendasari penelitian ini adalah bahwa dalam mengapresiasi sastra pembaca harus mempunyai keterampilan dalam menginterpretasikan makna yang terdapat pada dialog untuk mendapatkan makna yang utuh yang disampaikan pengarang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif sementara teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik baca dan teknik catat. Selanjutnya analisis data yang digunakan yaitu melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Data penelitian ini bersumber dari Novel Si Anak Spesial Karya Tere Liye yang terbit pada tanggal 7 Desember 2018 oleh Republika Penerbit. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah ditemukan 10 data implikatur percakapan khusus yang terjadi dalam dialog antar tokoh pada Novel Si Anak Spesial karya Tere Liye.]]>

<![CDATA[Languages such as land that has no end to cultivate or become the object of research by researchers, the nature of dynamic language allows researchers to find new cases or even current theories. In addition, the breadth of language studies makes language can be studied or examined from various perspectives, both from the internal or external language itself. In a study entitled “The Use of Language in Livelihoods Traders in Pangandaran in Trading Activities” this language was studied from a sociolinguistic perspective and aimed to find out or know the language usage of traders in Pangandaran in trading activities. Based on the results of the research conducted shows that a) the language usage of traders in Pangandaran tends to use their respective regional languages as proof of language revitalization or retention b) Many phonemes are used when the traders carry out their trading activities c) There is language interference d) Available code switching or mixed code among traders in Pangandaran e) Language influenced by the speakers' background, especially in this research is culture. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive research while data collection techniques in this study are literature review, observation, data collection and analysis.]]>

<![CDATA[This research was carried out in the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics, Mathla'ul Anwar University in the compulsory general subject (MKWU) of Indonesian Language which aims to determine the ability of students in preparing paragraphs as well as the use of lexical cohesion tools. From the results of the analysis found four types of repetition include repetition of types that have an impact, intact, partially and change the sound. Repeated types of repetition get the largest number of 15, followed by the type of repetition of the total number of 13, some with the number 5 and change the number of sounds 2. The method used in this research is descriptive analytic. This method is done by collecting data, compiling or classifying data, analyzing and then trying to describe linguistic data in the form of written Indonesian sentences.]]>
