Abstract

The Effleurage technique is a massage method that is quite effective in helping reduce back pain in the active phase of labor. Warm compresses reduce muscle spasms and pain intensity in the first stage of labor. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of massage and warm compresses on labor pain in the active phase of labor at the Atikah Midwife Clinic in 2024. The design of this study was a quasi-experimental time series group comparison design. The population in this study were all 45 mothers giving birth at the Atikah Midwife Clinic in September 2024. The sample was selected using an accidental sampling technique with 30 research subjects divided into 2 intervention groups. The data collection technique was by conducting experiments on mothers in the active phase of labor in the first stage. Data analysis used was the Independent t-test using the SPSS For MS Windows Version 17.0 program. The results of the study found that the average pain intensity value of respondents given massage = 8.20 and the average pain intensity value of respondents given warm compresses = 7.47. The results of the Independent t-test show that the P/Sig (2-tailed) value is 0.000<0.05, which means that the value (p<0.05), then Ho is rejected, while the calculation results show that the t-test is 4.291 while the t-table value df=26.736 and the significance level is 0.05, therefore the calculated t² value>t² table or 4.291>1.706 then Ho is rejected. It is concluded that there is a comparison of the effectiveness of massage and warm compresses in reducing pain intensity in the active phase of labor stage 1. It is recommended that further research be conducted with homogeneous respondents.

The type of research used is Pre-Experimental research. The population in the study were all ninth grade female adolescents at SMP Negeri 02 Class IX Panyabungan Mandailing Natal Regency in 2025. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample size of 41 people. using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study obtained an average knowledge before (7,561) and after (12,048). The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a p value = 0.000 <0.05 which indicates that there is an effect after being given health promotion through WhatsApp social media about personal hygiene in adolescents at SMP Negeri 02 Class IX Panyabungan Mandailing Natal Regency in 2025. WhatsApp social media can be used as a reference for modern learning in conveying information to provide health promotion about personal hygiene with symptoms of vaginitis in adolescents to increase knowledge so that adolescents are prevented from vaginal diseases.

From the results of the study showed that the distribution of gym ball exercise and acceleration of the labor process about gym ball exercise at the nurkholidah pulungan clinic in 2025. With respondents as many as 30 respondents, it was found that, the majority who participated in gym ball exercise were 24 respondents (80%) and those who did not participate in gym ball exercise were 6 respondents (20%), while those who were fast in accelerating the labor process were 27 respondents (90%) and those who were slow in accelerating the labor process were 3 respondents (10%). The results of bivariate analysis using the chi-square test on gym ball exercise and the acceleration of the labor process in the influence of gym ball exercise during pregnancy on the acceleration of the labor process obtained a value of p = 0.005 (p <0.05) so there is a significant influence between gym ball exercise and the acceleration of the labor process. It can be concluded that there is a significant influence between gym ball and the acceleration of the labor process about gym ball exercise at the Nurkholidah Pulungan clinic. Abstract

Many women experience difficulties in choosing a contraceptive method. This is not only due to the limited available methods, but also due to their lack of knowledge about the requirements and safety of these methods. Various factors must be considered, including health status, potential side effects, consequences of failure or unwanted pregnancy, planned family size, partner approval, and even cultural norms of the environment and parents. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between husband's support and the use of IUDs (Intra Uterine Devices) in the Bangunharjo hamlet, Bangunkerto, Turi, Sleman. This study used an analytical survey method with a cross-sectional time approach. The population in this study were all women of childbearing age at Posyandu Nusa Indah 1 and Posyandu Nusa Indah 2, totaling 65 people, and a sample of 31 people was obtained using a purposive sampling technique. The statistical test used was chi-square with the results read using Fischer's exact test, and the result was 0.059. In this study, the calculated p-value was greater than 0.05, so the hypothesis was rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between husband's support and the decision to use an IUD (Intra Uterine Device) in Huraba I Village, Siabu District, Mandailing Natal Regency. Based on the research results and discussion, the author can provide suggestions to the PUS to increase information about IUDs so that the decision to use an IUD is based on the mother's health condition, not only based on the husband's wishes or because they are influenced by others.

Abstract

Stunting (dwarfism) is a condition in which a toddler has a length or height that is less than minus two standard deviations of the median of the WHO child growth standards. Stunting is caused by insufficient nutritional intake over a long period of time due to feeding that does not meet nutritional needs. Stunting can occur from when the fetus is still in the womb and only becomes apparent when the child is two years old. This type of research is quantitative with a case-control study design, which is an analytical study (survey) concerning how risk factors are studied using a retrospective approach. The case population in this study were all stunted children aged 6-23 months in the Mompang Community Health Center working area. The control population in this study were non-stunted children aged 6-23 months in the North Panyabungan Community Health Center area who lived side by side with stunted children. The sampling technique for this study was accidental sampling, namely a method of sampling by chance encounter. The findings obtained by the researchers are largely supported by the results of previous studies that stated there is a relationship between sociodemographics and maternal parenting patterns on the incidence of stunting. Parents' education and income are important factors in fulfilling toddlers' nutritional needs, and parental parenting patterns are also supporting factors in providing care for better toddler growth and development.
