Background: Extramarital affairs remain a pervasive phenomenon across societies, with far-reaching negative socio-economic and political consequences for couples, children, and communities. Objective: The objective of this study was to systematically review the range of support services required by survivors of extramarital affairs and to synthesise knowledge that can inspire effective interventions. Method: A systematic literature review was conducted using multiple sources, including Google Scholar and other academic databases. Only peer-reviewed articles published after 2000 were included, except for seminal works providing essential conceptual foundations. In addition, publications from established international organisations with longstanding engagement in this area were critically appraised. Result: The findings indicate that survivors require diverse forms of support, such as disclosure, education and awareness programs, behavioural therapy, poverty and inequality alleviation, healthcare services, social welfare interventions, relationship satisfaction initiatives, group therapy, and counselling. Conclusion: This study concludes that holistic and multi-sectoral support services are essential to mitigate the long-term impacts of extramarital affairs. Contribution: The contribution of this review lies in consolidating fragmented knowledge, providing a comprehensive understanding of survivor needs, and offering evidence-based insights that can guide social workers, healthcare providers, and policymakers in designing effective interventions.

Background: As an internal factor, self-efficacy is expected to influence the level of mental resilience in adolescents, particularly in managing the stress and pressure they face in academic and social environments. Objective: This study aims to provide deeper insight into the role of self-efficacy in supporting resilience in adolescents. Method: This study uses the Systematic Literature Review method by collecting 12 references from studies published between 2017 and 2023. The review process was conducted using a meta-synthesis approach, which allowed researchers to identify, assess, and interpret findings from various studies relevant to the research topic to answer the questions set beforehand. Result: The results of the literature analysis show a positive correlation between self-efficacy and resilience in adolescents. Adolescents with high levels of self-efficacy tend to have better abilities in facing academic, social, and emotional challenges. This study also reveals that self-efficacy plays an important role in increasing mental resilience and helping adolescents more effectively overcome their problems. Conclusion: Self-efficacy plays a significant role in shaping resilience in adolescents. Adolescents with high confidence in their abilities can better cope with difficulties and persevere in stressful situations. Contribution: This study contributes to enriching the understanding of the role of self-efficacy as a factor that supports resilience in adolescents.

Background: Self-efficacy plays a vital role in students’ academic success, yet many learners struggle with low confidence when facing academic challenges. One psychological factor believed to influence self-efficacy is self-compassion, which enables students to respond positively to failure and academic pressure. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of self-compassion on self-efficacy among students at Ensino Básico Central Lontale. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 115 students, and a sample of 54 students was selected using a proportional stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected using a self-compassion scale and a self-efficacy scale that were tested for validity and reliability, with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.758 and 0.623, respectively, indicating acceptable internal consistency. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and simple linear regression. Result: The results showed that both self-compassion (M = 42.91, SD = 5.67) and self-efficacy (M = 55.01, SD = 5.15) fell within the medium category. Further analysis revealed that self-compassion had a positive and significant effect on self-efficacy, accounting for 55.9% of the variance (R² = 0.559, p < 0.05). Conlusion: Self-compassion is an important predictor of students’ self-efficacy in learning. Contribution: These findings contribute to educational psychology by highlighting the role of emotional regulation in enhancing academic confidence and suggesting the importance of integrating self-compassion-based interventions in school counseling programs.

Background: The use of animated media in education has gained popularity due to its potential to engage university students and simplify complex concepts. However, its impact on learning motivation remains underexplored, particularly in higher education contexts. Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of animated media on student learning motivation, specifically investigating how its use influences motivation in an academic setting. Method: The research involved 79 university students from the Educational Technology program at Universitas Sebelas Maret, selected through random sampling. Two variables were tested: the use of animated media (independent variable) and learning motivation (dependent variable). A questionnaire was used as the research instrument, and its validity, reliability, and normality were tested. Results: The analysis revealed that all instrument items were valid (r calculated > r table) and reliable (Cronbach’s alpha > 0.6), with the data showing a normal distribution (p = 0.194 > 0.05). Regression analysis revealed that animated media had a significant influence on learning motivation, accounting for 78.2% of the variation (R-squared = 0.782). The F-value of 120.960 and significance of 0.000 (< 0.05) confirmed the reliability of the model. Conclusion: Animated media significantly enhances learning motivation, particularly in explaining abstract concepts. However, challenges related to animation creation skills and access to technology need to be addressed. Contribution: This study offers educators valuable insights on how to incorporate animated media to enhance learning motivation effectively.

Background: In the digital era, technostress poses a significant challenge to workers' mental well-being and productivity. It refers to the psychological stress from constant technology use, leading to emotional exhaustion, anxiety, and poor work-life balance. Managing its impact is crucial as technology becomes more integrated into the workplace. Objective: This study aims to explore self-care and mental well-being intervention strategies to mitigate the adverse effects of technostress among employees, proposing a conceptual model to address these challenges. Method: Based on the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) Model, the conceptual model integrates three key components: (1) technostress dimensions (technoload, techno-invasion, and techno-complexity), (2) self-care interventions (mindfulness, mindfulness training, and digital detox), and (3) mental well-being outcomes (reduced stress, increased endurance, and work-life balance). Result: The study suggests that psychological responsiveness and mind-awareness training are critical protective factors against technostress. These interventions help reduce stress, improve endurance, and promote a better work-life balance. Conclusion: This research highlights the significance of self-care strategies in mitigating technostress and enhancing mental well-being in high-tech work environments. Organizations are encouraged to adopt sustainable digital well-being policies. Contribution: This study offers valuable insights into effective interventions for managing technostress, thereby contributing to the development of digital well-being programs in the workplace.

Background: Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a chronic mental health condition characterised by persistent and excessive worry that lasts for at least six months and interferes with daily functioning. The disorder affects adolescents and adults worldwide and is frequently accompanied by psychological and somatic symptoms such as restlessness, fatigue, sleep disturbance, irritability, and impaired concentration. Because these symptoms often appear in primary health settings, accurate diagnosis remains challenging. Objective: This article reviews the aetiology, clinical characteristics, and current treatment options for GAD, highlighting emerging therapeutic approaches. Method: The study employs a narrative literature review of recent psychological and psychiatric publications on diagnostic criteria, epidemiology, pharmacological management, and cognitive-behavioural interventions. Results: Findings indicate that GAD presents with diverse symptom trajectories across the lifespan and disproportionately affects certain populations, including women and older adults. Evidence also shows that combined pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy remains the most effective treatment, while mindfulness-based and integrative therapies demonstrate promising complementary outcomes. Conclusion: Comprehensive and individualised treatment is essential for improving long-term symptom management and quality of life. Contribution: This review synthesizes evidence supporting clinical practice.
