This study aims to analyze the potential and management strategies of Mangrove Pangkal Babu Ecotourism as a nature-based tourism village in Kuala Tungkal, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, from an Islamic economic perspective. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collected through literature studies and official government sources. The study shows that the Mangrove Forest of Pangkal Babu has significant potential as a sustainable ecotourism destination, supported by biodiversity, community involvement, and local government attention. Effective management strategies include raising public and visitor awareness to protect the mangrove forest, developing environmentally friendly tourism facilities, and creating job and business opportunities for local residents. From the perspective of Islamic economics, the management of this ecotourism site reflects the principles of justice ('adl), sustainability (istidamah), and balance (mizan), while avoiding excessive exploitation of natural resources. This study concludes that the development of Mangrove Pangkal Babu Ecotourism can serve as a model of sharia-based tourism that combines environmental conservation with equitable and sustainable community economic empowerment.

Abstract

Human Resource Management  has a crucial role in improving employee performance and entrepreneurial interest among students, especially at Darul Ulum Islamic University Lamongan. In the midst of the era of globalization, the implementation of efficient HRM can help organizations achieve higher productivity through appropriate policies and practices. This study adopts a quantitative approach by conducting hypothesis testing. Quantitative research methods are scientific methods because they meet scientific standards such as concrete/empirical, objective, measurable, rational, and systematic. This method is called quantitative because the research data is in the form of numbers and analysis using statistics. Entrepreneurial motivation has a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial interest among students in Lamongan Regency. The results of this study indicate conformity with the partial significance test (t-test) which shows that the Entrepreneurial Motivation variable (X1) has a t-value of 2.345> 1.96 and the significance value produced in the t-test is 0.019 <0.05, so it can be concluded that H1 is accepted. This means that the increasing or stronger the motivation to become an entrepreneur that is conveyed, the greater the interest of students in Lamongan Regency to become entrepreneurs. The results of this study are expected to be a motivation and guideline for subsequent researchers, so that they can develop this research, either by using other variables that have the potential to influence Entrepreneurial Interest or by choosing more detailed research objects.

Abstract

East Kalimantan Province has considerable potential for collecting Zakat, Infaq, and Sadaqah (ZIS). To realize this potential, BAZNAS continues to optimize revenue by activating Zakat Collection Units (UPZ) within various regional government organizations and expanding the zakat collection network down to the village level. The UPZIS at Jami’ Jabal Nur Mosque in Samarinda Ulu District is one of the UPZIS units directly supervised by BAZNAS of Samarinda City. This study aims to determine the influence of revenue, religiosity, credibility, and social media on the decision to pay zakat, infaq, and sadaqah at the UPZIS using a quantitative associative approach. Through purposive sampling, a research sample of 91 respondents was obtained. The data were tested using multiple linear regression with SPSS VER.21. The results of the study show that revenue, credibility, and social media each do not have a significant partial effect, while religiosity has a significant partial effect. Simultaneously, revenue, religiosity, credibility, and social media were found to have a significant effect. The coefficient of determination indicates that 24.2% of the decision to pay is influenced by these four variables, while 75.8% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of regulatory developments on the dynamics of Sharia Business Unit (SBU) spin-offs in Indonesia. The study aims to explore how regulatory frameworks, particularly Law No. 21 of 2008, influence the performance, compliance, and competitiveness of SBUs transitioning into independent Sharia Commercial Banks (SCBs). The scope of this research covers the financial, regulatory, and operational aspects of Islamic banking. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilizing qualitative analysis of regulatory frameworks and quantitative financial data from various Sharia banks and SBUs. Data were sourced from financial reports and interviews with key stakeholders in the banking sector. The findings reveal that while spin-offs offer opportunities for SBUs to enhance market power and Sharia compliance, they also face challenges in governance and resource management. Notably, effective regulatory oversight and strategic management are crucial for long-term success. These results provide insights for policymakers and industry stakeholders on improving Islamic banking's competitiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the research trends of print media-based digital marketing media, as well as explore how these two media can complement each other in effective marketing strategies. In the context of digitalization, print media has faced major challenges but remains relevant in several market segments. This study aims to identify the role that print media still plays in the digital era, as well as analyze how the integration between digital marketing and print media can improve business reach and performance, especially for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach, where data is collected through in-depth interviews with SMEs in the tourism sector and analysis of the content of their marketing campaigns. The data used came from interviews with SMEs using a combination of digital and print media, as well as from literature that researched marketing trends in both media. The results of the study show that even though digital marketing dominates, print media still has high credibility in the eyes of certain consumers. SMEs that combine these two mediums show significant performance improvements, especially in terms of consumer loyalty and local market outreach. The study also found that the main challenge faced by SMEs in utilizing digital media is the lack of adequate knowledge and resources. The implications of these findings underscore the importance of training and support for SMEs to optimize integrated marketing strategies that effectively leverage digital and print media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the implementation of corporate governance between conventional and Islamic banks in Indonesia during the 2019-2023 period. The type of data used in this study is secondary data, namely annual data obtained from annual reports published on the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) as well as conventional and Islamic banks in Indonesia. Data collection was conducted through library research and internet research. The data analysis methods used in this study are descriptive statistical tests and two-average hypothesis tests (independent sample t-tests). Five indicators are used: board size, use of Big 4 auditors, number of board meetings, presence of foreign directors, and gender proportion. Through descriptive statistical tests and independent sample t-tests, it was found that there were no significant differences between the two types of banks in corporate governance variables. This finding indicates the homogeneity of governance structures in the Indonesian banking sector, both conventional and Islamic. This study contributes to the corporate governance literature by describing the role of transparency and diversity principles in supporting banking digitalization.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of blockchain as a digital infrastructure to support sharia-based MSME financing in Indonesia. The focus of the research is directed at how blockchain can improve the transparency, accountability, and effectiveness of sharia contract processes such as murabahah, mudharabah, musyarakah, and qardhul hasan. The research uses an exploratory qualitative approach through semi-structured interviews with sharia MSME actors, sharia microfinance institutions (BMT and sharia cooperatives), blockchain technology providers, and sharia regulators. The data is strengthened through observation of the financing process and contract documentation. Data analysis was carried out using thematic coding techniques and source triangulation. The results of the study show that blockchain provides an immutable, transparent, and real-time transaction recording system so that it can improve the verification and monitoring process of sharia compliance. Blockchain enables the automation of margin calculation and profit sharing through smart contracts, reduces the risk of asymmetric information, and helps build a digital track record of MSMEs as the basis for assessing financing eligibility. However, the adoption of this technology is still hampered by low digital literacy, infrastructure readiness, and lack of sharia regulations related to new technologies. The implementation of blockchain can increase the effectiveness of sharia MSME financing, simplify sharia audits, reduce the administrative burden of financing institutions, and expand access to financing for MSMEs. The findings of this study provide guidance for BMTs, sharia cooperatives, and regulators to develop a digital financing model that is secure, transparent, and in accordance with sharia principles. This research offers an empirical understanding and conceptual model of blockchain as a digital infrastructure for sharia financing, a topic that is still very limited in the Indonesian literature. This study integrates the perspectives of MSME actors, financing institutions, technology providers, and regulators, resulting in a holistic analysis related to the readiness of the digital ecosystem for sharia-based MSME financing.
