Abstract

This study aims to analyze the professionalism of teachers in improving students’ learning motivation at MTs. Al-Mahrusiyyah Lirboyo Kediri. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that teacher professionalism is reflected in four main competencies: pedagogical, personal, social, and professional. These competencies significantly contribute to enhancing students’ learning motivation. Teachers at MTs. Al-Mahrusiyyah implement varied learning strategies, emphasize a humanistic approach, and create participatory and meaningful learning environments. Field data show that teachers’ skills in building empathetic communication and providing positive reinforcement play a crucial role in sustaining students’ enthusiasm. This study concludes that improving teacher professionalism directly impacts the quality of instruction and students’ motivation, particularly in a pesantren-based educational setting.

Abstract

This service activity aims to improve students' interpersonal communication skills through training based on Islamic values at the As-Sholeh Cipedes Islamic Boarding School, Tasikmalaya City. In the context of pesantren, effective communication skills are essential to form harmonious social relationships, strengthen morals, and build spirituality-based leadership. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which actively involves students in planning, implementing, and evaluating training programs. The training was held for four weeks with eight meeting sessions that combined modern communication techniques and Islamic principles such as qaulan karima and qaulan layyina. The results of the evaluation showed a significant increase in participants' interpersonal communication skills, both in terms of confidence in speaking, active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and non-verbal communication, with an average increase of 26.4%. The participants' responses showed high enthusiasm, and most were able to internalize Islamic values into their daily communication practices. The follow-up three months after the program also showed the sustainability of positive impacts, including the emergence of students as communication mentors. This program has succeeded in creating a training model that is not only technical and applicative, but also ethically and spiritually transformative, strengthening the character of students as agents of social change based on Islamic values.

Abstract

Kesehatan lingkungan merupakan salah satu faktor fundamental dalam menjaga kualitas hidup masyarakat. Lingkungan yang bersih, sehat, dan bebas dari sumber penyakit memungkinkan masyarakat beraktivitas dengan nyaman, produktif, dan aman dari risiko penularan penyakit. Di Indonesia, terutama di wilayah dengan kepadatan penduduk tinggi, masalah kesehatan lingkungan masih menjadi tantangan serius. Salah satu isu kesehatan yang paling menonjol adalah penyebaran penyakit Demam Berdarah Dengue (DBD), yang disebabkan oleh virus dengue dan ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes aegypti. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menurunkan kepadatan nyamuk dewasa melalui fogging, (2) mengurangi jumlah jentik nyamuk pada tempat penampungan air dengan penaburan abate (temephos), (3) meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi masyarakat terhadap pencegahan DBD, serta (4) memberikan edukasi kesehatan terkait kebersihan lingkungan dan penerapan gerakan 3M Plus di Desa Sukadana, Kecamatan Tukdana, Kabupaten Indramayu. Metode yang digunakan meliputi fogging menggunakan mesin thermal fogger, penaburan larvisida, dan edukasi kesehatan masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan penurunan populasi nyamuk dewasa secara signifikan dan meningkatnya partisipasi aktif masyarakat dalam program pencegahan DBD. Gap yang diidentifikasi adalah minimnya integrasi antara pengendalian nyamuk secara kimia, pengelolaan lingkungan, dan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam praktik pengendalian DBD yang berkelanjutan. Novelty dari kegiatan ini terletak pada penerapan pendekatan Pengendalian Vektor Terpadu (Integrated Vector Management) yang menggabungkan intervensi teknis dan edukasi masyarakat secara simultan, sehingga tidak hanya menekan populasi nyamuk, tetapi juga mendorong peran aktif masyarakat dalam menciptakan lingkungan sehat bebas nyamuk.

Abstract

Modernization creates big challenges for Islamic religious instructors in conveying da'wah amidst social and cultural changes. This research analyzes the da'wah communication strategy at the Bait Al-Tawwabin Mosque, Losarang District, using a qualitative approach through observation, interviews and documentation. The results show that religious instructors utilize digital technology, participatory approaches, and relevant preaching materials to answer the needs of modern society. The challenges faced include limited resources, varying levels of religious understanding, and the influence of popular culture. Innovative communication strategies have been proven to increase congregational participation and religious awareness. This research recommends technology training for religious instructors, collaboration with local communities, and integration of religious moderation values ​​in preaching.
