Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of character education in the teaching of Cultural Arts and Crafts (SBdP) as well as the character values applied to second-grade students at SD Inpres 3 Talise. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects consisted of 27 students, including 17 boys and 10 girls. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of character education in SBdP learning was quite optimal, guided by the Lesson Plan (RPP). The character values emphasized include religious, discipline, honesty, and creativity. Religious values were instilled through group prayers before lessons. Discipline was applied through attendance checks. Honesty was encouraged by having students complete assignments without cheating. Creativity was developed through activities such as singing the song "Lonceng Ayah" using improvised musical instruments made from surrounding objects. This study highlights the importance of integrating character education into SBdP learning to help shape students' personalities and positive attitudes from an early age.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is how the application of the Index Card Match learning strategy can influence student learning outcomes in science subjects in class V elementary school? This research aims to improve student learning outcomes through implementing the Index Card Match learning strategy in science subjects in class V elementary school. In this study, the researcher used a research sample of 29 students in class VB at SDN Tondo. The type of research used is classroom action research which is carried out in cycles. The instruments used by researchers in collecting data were observation sheets, test questions, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this research are qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results of the research show that the application of the Index Card Match strategy in class V science subjects at SDN Tondo can improve student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the results of students' classical learning completion in cycle I which was 48.3%. Then in cycle II the students' classical learning completeness score was 86.2%. There was an increase in scores from cycle I to II of 37.9%.

Abstract

This study aims to assess students' numeracy skills based on the results of the Minimum Competency Assessment. This research is a descriptive qualitative study. The study was conducted at SD Inpres Maponu, Sarjo Sub-district, Pasangkayu District, West Sulawesi. Data collection techniques included observation, numeracy tests, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings of the study revealed that two students demonstrated low numeracy skills, with an average score of 19.01%, two students exhibited moderate numeracy skills, with an average score of 34.37%, and two students displayed high numeracy skills, with an average score of 46.61%. The overall average score for the Minimum Numeracy Competency Assessment at SD Inpres Maponu was 64%, indicating that the students' numeracy skills are classified within the moderate category. Each student, regardless of their score level (low, moderate, or high), faced individual challenges during the assessment process.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using interactive learning media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in Social Studies (IPS) at SDN Tondo. The population consisted of all 56 fourth-grade students, with Class IV A (28 students) as the control group and Class IV B (28 students) as the experimental group. This research applied a descriptive quantitative method, using observation, tests, and documentation as instruments. Data were collected through a posttest and analyzed using an independent sample t-test at a 5% significance level (α = 0.05). The results showed that the average score of the experimental class was 86.43, which was higher than the control class average of 64.29. Statistical analysis indicated a t-value of 7.653, while the t-table value was 2.005. Since t-value > t-table, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of interactive learning media had a significant positive effect on the Social Studies learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN Tondo.

Abstract

The main problem in this study was the low science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Poboya. The initial results indicated that most students had not yet achieved the minimum mastery criteria, either individually or classically. This situation required the use of a more effective learning strategy to improve students’ understanding. Therefore, this study applied the inquiry method, which emphasizes active student involvement in observing phenomena, discovering concepts, and drawing conclusions based on their own learning experiences. The research employed Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The findings revealed that the inquiry method significantly improved students’ science learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the classical mastery level was only 63% with an absorption rate of 64.21%. After improvements in the second cycle, classical mastery increased to 100% with an absorption rate of 88.42%. These results demonstrate that the inquiry method not only enhanced learning outcomes but also created a more interactive, enjoyable, and motivating learning atmosphere, encouraging students to actively engage in understanding science concepts.
