Abstract

This research was conducted to explore the role of blockchain technology in ensuring food safety in the European Union. Blockchain has been identified as a technology that can improve transparency and traceability in the food supply chain. The study aims to assess the level of blockchain adoption in the EU food sector, identify the challenges that hinder the adoption of this technology, as well as analyze its impact on food security. This research method uses a descriptive-qualitative approach, which involves literature analysis, industry reports, and interviews with experts. The results show that blockchain adoption is still low, especially among regulators and retailers, with the main obstacles being unsupportive regulation and uneven technological infrastructure. The conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of developing more supportive policies as well as improving infrastructure to facilitate wider and more equitable adoption of blockchain in the food supply chain in the European Union.

Abstract

This study examines the application of cold chain technology in the storage and distribution of agricultural products in Saudi Arabia, especially in the face of extreme climate challenges and distribution in remote areas. The purpose of the study is to identify the impact of cold chain on product quality, distribution efficiency, and product competitiveness in the international market. The research method used is descriptive-qualitative with data collection through interviews, observations, and secondary data analysis from industry reports and government policies. The results show that the implementation of cold chain reduces the rate of product damage by 30% and increases the export of fresh products, but there is still a gap between urban and rural areas in terms of access to cold chain infrastructure. In conclusion, cold chains play an important role in supporting food security and the sustainability of the agricultural sector in Saudi Arabia, but further infrastructure investment and training are needed to expand its adoption across the country's territory.

Abstract

This study examines the role of augmented reality (AR) technology in agricultural training and extension in Turkey. The background of the research is based on the need to improve the effectiveness of training for farmers in understanding and applying modern agricultural techniques. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the use of AR on the improvement of farmers' knowledge and skills as well as the adoption of agricultural technology. This study uses a qualitative approach through surveys, interviews, and case studies in the Aegean region, involving 50 farmers and agricultural extension workers. The results showed that 75% of farmers experienced increased understanding, while 60% felt more confident in applying the techniques learned. Case studies also show that AR helps visualize irrigation techniques more clearly, making it easier for farmers to make decisions. The conclusion of this study is that AR makes a significant contribution in improving the quality of agricultural training, although limited access to technology is still a major obstacle. Further research is recommended to evaluate the long-term impact of AR on the productivity and efficiency of the agricultural sector in Turkey.

Abstract

This study explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI)-based plant health monitoring technology in France, which is expected to improve the efficiency of early detection of plant diseases and optimize the use of agricultural resources. The background of this research is based on the urgent need to increase agricultural productivity and reduce negative impacts on the environment. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of AI in detecting plant health problems and provide data-driven recommendations for farmers. This study uses a mixed approach, with quantitative data from farmer surveys and qualitative data from interviews and case studies in major agricultural regions in France. The results showed that 80% of farmers reported an increase in early detection of diseases, and 75% reported a reduction in pesticide use. In conclusion, AI is playing an important role in supporting sustainable agriculture in France, although challenges in access to technology still need to be addressed. Further research is needed to explore ways to expand the adoption of this technology among smallholders.

Abstract

Nanotechnology has emerged as an innovative solution in the agricultural sector, particularly in fertilizing and plant protection in Germany. The background of this research is the need to improve agricultural efficiency by reducing the use of chemical inputs and increasing the absorption of plant nutrients. This study aims to evaluate the impact of nanotechnology on fertilization efficiency, crop protection, and farmers' operational costs. The research uses a mixed approach, involving 200 farmers through surveys and interviews, as well as laboratory data analysis related to nutrient absorption and pesticide residues. The results showed that nanotechnology increased nutrient absorption by 25%, reduced pest attacks by up to 30%, and reduced the use of fertilizers and pesticides by up to 20%. The conclusion of this study is that nanotechnology is effective in improving agricultural technical and economic efficiency, so it has the potential to become an important component in sustainable agriculture in Germany.
