Abstract

Smart Classroom and Laboratory (SCL) is one of technologies that can be implemented to empower the availability of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) infrastructure. All devices and components in class and labor will become entities that are integrated and embedded into electronic devices in order to make them to behave as the Internet of Things (IoT). SCL is used to assist lecturers in monitoring and managing classrooms and laboratories in real time. Moreover, the classroom / laboratory will be smarter because the lighting and cooling systems are made to adapt according to the number of people in the room.

Abstract

Steam Electrics Power Sijantang Sawahlunto in West Sumatra, produce fly ash waste from coal burning which is very much every day (about 300 tons/day). Air pollution caused by fly-ash has been disturbing the community surrounding due to environmental pollution, the pollution has been carried away by water flown to the rice fields, causing the rice crops of community are damage. It is already a big problem, because the public has repeatedly protested to the PLN, even the local government had been repeatedly requested to the PLN, to resolved that the issue soon.  To solved that problem, PLN in cooperation with Padang State of Polytechnic, has done some research in order to utilize the waste fly ash into building materials. The results of this study prove that the waste fly ash can be used as the basic material to produce instant tiling mortar. Through research conducted, it is found a smart way out, where "there is a problem that can be used as an opportunity" especially if people are trained and given the opportunity to produce mortar instant in their homes (home industry), it will be able to improve the economy and welfare of the people around the plant Sijantang.

Abstract

An EFI cars (Electronic Fuel Injection) is not equipped with a pressure fuel pump indicator, so the driver does not know the the fuel pump performance. If the fuel pump work under the standard, the engine is not responsive to acceleration, engine temperature can be increased and the performance of the engine is lowered. This research are trying to design a fuel pump pressure detector using a pressure sensor. The research methodology used is the Research and Development (R & D) consisting of product design, design validation, design revisions, and test products. This study used three product design because the design of the first and the second has not been as expected. The third design uses a comparator circuit as the controller three indicator LED (Light Emitting Diode). If the fuel pump working pressure of 2,1kg / cm²-2.5 kg / cm², the three colored LED green, yellow and red lights up. If the fuel pump working pressure of 1.6 kg / cm²-2,0kg / cm², the two LED will light up the colors yellow and red. If the fuel pump working pressure of 1,0kg / cm²-1.5 kg / cm², it is only one red LED are illuminated. A comparison between the changes in pressure to produce the output voltage linear data and repeatibility = 0.

Abstract

High number of vehicle theft and damaged vehicle caused climate factor such disasters on conventional garage has made an encouragement to the owners to decrease those risks. By using special access and by putting the garage down tothe basement can be trusted way to minimalized those risks above.This system works by communicate RFID reader and infrared sensor an inputs. RFID reader MFRC522 has a role as authentication tool for vehicle owners by manifest their card identities to the system. Meanwhile the infrared sensors IR-FC51 work as the input of automatic system. All these inputs will be proceeded by Arduino Uno as smart system data processor and ended by the movement of the dc motor as the lift motor and LCD as the information displayer.The registered owner card will get a special access to entering parking lot on basement, while the users that didn’t have registered card has no access to enter. Inside the lift, there will be infrared sensors to detect the vehicle on the lift and automatically will moved the lift upside or downside.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to look at changes in land use and hydrograph models of  Danau Limau Manis  Sub-watershed using  data 2011 until 2015.The results shows the change of  land use of Batang Kuranji Watershed,  Sub DAS Danau Limau Manis can decreased 3.03%  from 2011 to 2015. It due to the opening of new land. While shrub rose rose 0360%, because was due of changes of forests that have not done processing. For an others using of the land  the number increase 3.40%. It due to changes of forests and shrubs into failure land.. As the runoff coefficient (C) does not occur any significant change that is from 0.405 into 0.408. Peak discharge calculated by the Nakayasu method 128.02 m3 / dt, was greater by Rational method of 127,52  m3 / dt is caused no difference in the approach used.

Abstract

This project aims to testing the equation which obtained from the graph characteristics relationships of the optimum input voltage driver valve to change the power load on the valve opening proportional to the input PEMFC system so that the valve opening will work automatically according to changes in load power. Equations are taken there are two linear equations and polynomials. Enter the equation is used as the power load and input voltage output driver valves. Test results show similarities with both voltage and output current characteristics are almost the same system with the characteristics of the optimum and maximum valve opening. H2 gas usage on testing with both equations show similar values with optimum valve opening, making it more efficient than the maximum valve opening

Abstract

Combustion emissions from millions of exhaust coming out every day would cause problems because the impact on the air quality and the problems of chronic diseases when inhaled by humans. This study wants to reveal the influence of variations in electric voltage to the fuel pump exhaust emissions. The study was conducted using an experimental method, using a form of Post-test Only Control Design. The object being tested is a Toyota Avanza 1.3 GM / T. The voltage should be 12 V, the research varying the voltage to the level of 11 V, 10 V and 9 V. The results obtained, when the voltage is 12 V the average emissions of CO and HC 95.5ppm 0.187%. At a voltage of 11 V emissions down to 0.125% CO and HC 62.5ppm. However, when the voltage is 10V and 9V increased emissions. At 10 V variation 0.245% CO and HC 110.8ppm. At 9 V variation 0.303% CO and HC 139.2ppm.

Abstract

In this paper, it will be studied global stability endemic of equilibrium points of  a SEIR model with infectious force in latent, infected and immune period. From the model it will be found investigated the existence and its stability of points its equilibrium. The global stability of equilibrium points is depending on the value of the basic reproduction number  If   there is a unique endemic equilibrium which is globally asymptotically stable.

Abstract

Batang Hari is the 2nd biggest DAS in Indonesia. About 76% of Batang Hari DAS is located in Jambi Province, the entire 24%is in West Sumatera Province. Batang Hari dam which was built on 1997 is one of infrastrcture at Public Work ministery under management at Balai Wilayah Sungai Sumatera V (BWSS V) his high potential of water stock. Optimum discharge of Batang Hari Dam is about 86 m3/sec. In the recently years DAS Batang Hari has been disturbed by some changes like catchment area utilized fot other purpose, change on global climate done to greenhouse effectwhich causingintensity of rain as well as flood. This climate change then will affected standard for engineering design for making a water control buiding which may injuireaccurate waterfall intensity data. Study of rainfall intensity obtained from 3 (three) nearby stations will show the characteristic dam trend of distribution with reperted period. Cousistency of data using Mass Curve method and local rain analysis to be done by Arithmatic & Thiessen Polygon method. To analysis trend of rainfall distribution. We use : Normal, Log Normal, Log Person type III and Gumbel methods. For complaince test of distribution, we use Chi-Kuadrat and Smirnov-Kolmogorov methods. Refer to result of distribution using Chi-Kuadrat and Smirnov-Kolmogorov methods for Arithmatic methods it is adviced to use Gumbel method to evaluate distribution trend; because critical deviation is smell comparing to available in table, with rainfall with repeating period 2,5,10,25,50 and 100 years are 124,08 mm, 1168,56 mm, 198,01 mm, 235,22 mm, 262,83 mm, 290,23 mm and Thiessen Polygon 106,93 mm, 138,22 mm, 158,94 mm, 185,11 mm, 204,53 mm, 223,81 mm

Abstract

Together with advancement in transportation technology, there is a need to study current technology on transportation. Various research have been conducted on pavement to achieve a strong, durable, and economic construction. One of the constructions is Hot Rolled Sheet – Wearing Course (HRS-WC) or widely known as thin concrete asphaltic layer. Concrete asphalt is a flexible pavement with high structural strength and widely used in Indonesia as road pavement. Therefore the characteristic of the mixture is highly affected by type and percentage of filler in the mixture. In the last two decades, design methods are developed based on analytical method which require stiffness modulus and structural values of the material. During this period many research have been conducted on the methods to improve performance of asphaltic concrete by modification of materials as well as material substitution.The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of substitution of standard filler of HRS-WC with clay mineral from Gunung Sarik, Padang, on Marshall properties parameters such as stability, density, VIM, VMA, VFB, flow, and MQ. This aim is achieved by analyzing Marshall properties of the mixtures.Our study shows that the substitution of standard filler with clay mineral from Gunung Sarik with variations from 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% has no significant impact on optimum asphalt content and other Marshall properties such as Density, VIM, VMA, and Flow. These values do not vary from mixtures using standard filler.
