Abstract

One of the most important discoveries in technological development is the internet. However, infrastructure availability and cost remain a barrier for some. For various needs, in certain circumstances, a cheap and fast connection is required. The purpose of this research is to assist PT Wisata Hutan Lestari, located in Cigobang Hamlet, Karang Tengah Village, Sentul, Bogor Regency, in improving the quality of its services by providing internet access using GSM signals and proxies. To obtain relevant data and results for this research, data collection methods such as literature review and interviews were used. Furthermore, during the implementation phase, the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method was chosen to ensure the success of this month-long research. The study concluded that utilizing GSM signals with the implementation of OpenWRT demonstrated a high level of flexibility in network configuration adjustments and can be implemented in areas with minimal broadband internet access. Furthermore, the use of Trojan.go and vmess proxies on the OpenWRT network improved security and privacy when accessing the internet. Meanwhile, this study can provide several recommendations that can be implemented, such as using Mikrotik to manage bandwidth, adding router devices to expand network coverage, adding modems to increase internet speed, changing or adding to the overall network configuration.

Abstract

At Universitas Islam Makassar, study program accreditation is still managed manually. This slows down the process, increases the workload, and makes errors more likely. This research introduces a web-based accreditation system designed to simplify document submission, verification, and assessment. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, moving through requirement analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Three user roles were defined: administrator, head of study program, and assessor, each with tailored access and features. Functions include structured document uploads, real-time accreditation tracking, and role-based dashboards. The system was tested using black-box testing, and all key features worked as intended. Results show the system improves process speed, reduces manual work, and helps stakeholders manage accreditation more efficiently. Further features like video uploads and automated notifications are planned for future updates.

Abstract

The equitable distribution of essential goods in Indonesia’s remote and archipelagic regions faces significant logistical challenges, primarily due to geographical complexity, limited transportation infrastructure, and unpredictable weather conditions. This study adopts the Travelling Salesman Problem (TSP) model to optimize inter-island aid distribution routes, with delivery locations modeled as a complete weighted graph. Inter-location distances are calculated using the Haversine formula based on actual geographical coordinates. The Path Cheapest Arc heuristic algorithm, implemented via Google OR-Tools, is employed to efficiently generate near-optimal routes. The optimization results show a reduction in travel distance by 22.7% (from 256.7 km to 198.4 km), accompanied by a decrease in estimated travel time from 10.27 hours to 7.94 hours, and a reduction in fuel consumption from 102.7 liters to 79.4 liters. These findings empirically demonstrate that TSP optimization can significantly reduce travel distance and distribution time in the context of maritime logistics. The integration of graph theory, optimization algorithms, and interactive route visualization not only enhances computational efficiency but also provides practical benefits for policymakers in the public sector. This methodological framework has the potential to be replicated for distribution scenarios in other remote regions, while also strengthening data-driven decision-making in governmental logistics planning.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of ChatGPT in enhancing English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students' speaking skills. The primary aim is to explore whether integrating ChatGPT into language learning can effectively improve speaking proficiency. Using a controlled experimental design, participants were divided into treatment and control groups, with the treatment group utilizing ChatGPT for speaking practice. The results demonstrated significant improvements in speaking skills for the treatment group, with statistical analysis confirming the rejection of the null hypothesis. This study highlights the technical capabilities of ChatGPT in offering personalized, adaptive learning experiences, showcasing its potential in language education. The findings emphasize the importance of AI tools like ChatGPT in enhancing language learning outcomes. Furthermore, it calls for educator training to harness AI effectively in pedagogical strategies. Overall, the study affirms that ChatGPT is a powerful, accessible tool for improving speaking skills, offering scalable solutions in EFL education.

Abstract

Technology is increasingly developing and innovating rapidly. Among them is the use of technology in various fields, especially in education. Teachers and students at the school still carry out attendance activities manually, namely with a conventional system that requires data recording for each attendance on paper. This system is vulnerable to damage or loss of data because the attendance results there still use paper. The attendance system that utilizes face recognition technology is the system proposed for the formulation of the problem that will be used for the research. The development method of this research uses the Prototyping method which prioritizes speed and time efficiency so that it is very suitable for use considering the current needs for a system that requires speed and accuracy. The framework used in the development of the system is Codeigniter 4. The process of working on the system is system requirements analysis, display design, coding, and testing. The results of the study are to create a website-based attendance application at SMP Daarus Sa'adah by utilizing face recognition technology which is carried out by auto-detecting faces so that it can facilitate users in carrying out attendance activities accurately and quickly.
