Khadimul Mujtama’: Journal of Community Service focuses on publishing the results of community service activities that are grounded in Qur’anic and Hadith studies. The journal emphasizes community engagement initiatives that are derived from and developed through the values, principles, and teachings of the Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah in addressing societal needs and challenges. The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, activities related to Qur’anic and Tafsir studies, Hadith studies, and broader Islamic studies that intersect with community needs. It also covers interdisciplinary approaches that integrate education, economics, social sciences, health, environment, and technology in the context of Islamic community service. Submitted articles must demonstrate a clear and explicit connection between the community service activities and Qur’anic and/or Hadith studies as their conceptual and methodological foundation.

Abstract

Kajian tafsir Al-Qur’an memiliki peran penting dalam memperkuat nilai-nilai Islami masyarakat, terutama di tingkat komunitas desa yang masih memegang tradisi keagamaan kuat. Artikel ini mendokumentasikan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui kajian tafsir Surat Yusuf ayat 4 yang dilaksanakan di Desa Kayu Bongkok. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah minimnya pemahaman mendalam terhadap nilai-nilai Qur’ani yang dapat dijadikan pedoman dalam kehidupan sosial. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah menumbuhkan kesadaran spiritual dan memperkuat pengamalan nilai kesabaran, keikhlasan, dan kebijaksanaan yang terkandung dalam kisah Nabi Yusuf. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan refleksi bersama dengan melibatkan partisipasi warga lintas usia. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat terhadap makna mimpi Nabi Yusuf, meningkatnya motivasi untuk mengamalkan nilai Islami dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta terjalinnya ikatan sosial yang lebih erat antarwarga. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa kajian tafsir tematik dapat menjadi media efektif dalam internalisasi nilai keagamaan sekaligus memperkuat kohesi sosial masyarakat.

Abstract

Environmental awareness has become an urgent need in addressing ecological challenges. Surah Al-A’raf verse 56 prohibits mankind from causing destruction on earth after Allah has set it in order, which, according to Tafsir Al-Mishbah, is interpreted as the obligation to preserve environmental balance as a divine trust. Based on these values, the Community Service in Cinangka was carried out through educative approaches such as awareness campaigns, environmental workshops, and a mass community clean-up involving residents of RW 06 and RW 07 of Kampung Kebon Cinangka. The program also emphasized the role of housewives as strategic actors in practicing wise household waste management. The results revealed increased community awareness of cleanliness, strengthened social solidarity through collective clean-up, and the establishment of a continuing initiative called the Plastic Bottle Charity Program (Sedekah Sampah), which remains active until today. These findings indicate that integrating Qur’anic values with real actions can foster sustainable ecological awareness. This program is significant as it provides an empowerment model that combines religious, social, and environmental aspects.
