Abstract

This study investigates the legal protection of patient privacy in Indonesia’s SATUSEHAT mobile application, which serves as a centralized platform for Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). As digital transformation in the healthcare sector accelerates, concerns over data security and privacy become increasingly urgent. Existing studies have highlighted regulatory efforts but often overlook the practical enforcement and institutional gaps, particularly in mobile health platforms. Using a normative juridical approach, this research analyzes legal texts, government regulations, and expert commentaries related to the Personal Data Protection Law, Health Law, and Ministry of Health Regulation No. 24 of 2022. The findings reveal that while a legal framework exists, there are major challenges in its implementation, including limited digital infrastructure, weak legal synchronization, low digital literacy among health workers, and the absence of robust monitoring mechanisms. A key contribution of this study is its comprehensive analysis of both legal and practical dimensions of data privacy, offering strategic recommendations to enhance regulation enforcement and institutional preparedness. By bridging the gap between regulation and on-ground realities, this research underscores the importance of an integrated, secure, and ethically responsible approach to digital health governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the importance of forming students’ religious character in senior high schools as part of national education goals, as well as the existing gap between religious understanding and its implementation in daily life. This study aims to examine the effect of Islamic Spiritual Activities (Rohani Islam) and the role modeling of Islamic Education teachers on the religious character of tenth-grade students at SMAN 5 Berau, both partially and simultaneously. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of all tenth-grade students of SMAN 5 Berau, with a sample of 82 students selected using random sampling techniques. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that Islamic Spiritual Activities have a significant effect on students’ religious character, Islamic Education teachers’ role modeling has a significant effect on students’ religious character, and both variables simultaneously have a significant influence on students’ religious character. This study concludes that strengthening school-based religious activities supported by exemplary behavior from Islamic Education teachers is an effective strategy for developing students’ religious character in public high schools.

Abstract

The development of online games among secondary school students has become a phenomenon that is inseparable from adolescent life and carries serious implications for character formation, particularly learning discipline, self-control, and religious character. Uncontrolled intensity of online game use has the potential to shift students’ priorities from academic and spiritual activities toward instant entertainment-oriented activities. This study aims to analyze holistic pedagogical strategies in Islamic education in reducing the negative impacts of online games on students’ character. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with research subjects consisting of the school principal, Islamic Education teachers, Guidance and Counseling teachers, and students at SMA Negeri 5 Berau. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that online games have an impact on declining learning discipline, weakened self-control, and reduced consistency of students’ worship practices. Nevertheless, the implementation of holistic pedagogical strategies that integrate spiritual, emotional, social, and pedagogical development through the role of Islamic Education teachers as mu’allim, murabbi, muaddib, counselors, and mediators has proven capable of helping students manage online game use more wisely and strengthen religious character. This study affirms that holistic pedagogy in Islamic education has a strategic role in addressing the challenges of student character formation in the digital era.
