Abstract

Grouping bug reports into clusters can assist in verifying and validating bugs in the software development cycle. One of the clustering methods is Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (AHC). It relies on distance calculations to determine the degree of similarity between clusters. One of the distance calculations is the Jaccard coefficient. The Jaccard Coefficient method has the disadvantage that it only considers the same set of words between two documents but does not consider their importance. Previous research added Inverse Document Frequency (IDF) algorithm to the Jaccard coefficient to calculate the importance of word groups and in this research is referred to the weighted Jaccard coefficient. Clustering is carried out using a combination of AHC and that coefficient. The silhouette score is then compared with the silhouette score of AHC with the Jaccard coefficient. Results indicate that increasing term complexity reduces cluster quality, with silhouette scores dropping from 13.13% (bigram) to 0.45% (4-gram). Furthermore, many clusters exhibited negative silhouette scores, highlighting the difficulty of separating high-dimensional bug data using unsupervised methods. In contrast, the supervised classification baseline achieved significantly higher accuracy. This paper contributes a critical analysis demonstrating that while Weighted Jaccard captures semantic nuance, unsupervised clustering remains insufficient for this domain compared to supervised approaches.

Abstract

Research on Muhammadiyah often focuses on its preaching models, responses to various conditions, and strategies in proselytization or resource management, but there is limited exploration of the Muhammadiyah organization itself. Specifically, the condition of Pimpinan Ranting Muhammadiyah (The Leader of Muhammadiyah Sub-Branch or PRM) as the lowest organizational structure, is seldom addressed. Currently, the LPCR utilizes SICARA to categorize organizations based on scores reflecting routine activities, yet it does not map these organizations based on similar potential. Thus, there is a need for a method to group these organizations based on a condition mapping to facilitate targeted revitalization efforts. This study aims to cluster PRM based on the Branch and Sub-branch Information System (Sistem Informasi Cabang dan Ranting or SICARA) questionnaire responses. Given that the SICARA questionnaire data is categorical, the K-MODES method was chosen for clustering. The optimal number of clusters was determined using the elbow method. The resulting clusters, derived using the elbow method, there are eight clusters, each exhibiting distinct characteristics.

Abstract

Behind the improvement brought by digital media, various challenges have also emerged. Phenomena such as the spread of fake news (hoaxes), digital privacy, and societal polarization have become issues that often arise along with the rapid growth of this media. This study aims to discuss the digitalization of community works and products in the development of tourist villages in DI. Yogyakarta and Bengkulu Province. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and focus group discussions. Research informants include stakeholders related to the development of tourist villages, community leaders, and related local government officials. Data were analyzed using a thematic approach. This study found that the increase in documentation of cultural activities (works) and community products in the form of audio visuals (digital) in the development of tourist villages continues to be carried out. The process of developing a tourism village is carried out by effectively digitizing works and products by the surrounding community. The effectiveness of the activities carried out by each community has an impact on the development of existing tourism villages. This is what then gave rise to the integration of community-based tourism village development models.

Abstract

Maritime weather information is critical for shipping safety in archipelagic countries such as Indonesia. However, current dissemination methods at the Teluk Bayur Maritime Meteorological Station rely on one-way infographic distribution through social media, lacking interactive communication capabilities. This study presents a lightweight Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)-based chatbot that integrates Google Sheets as a dynamic knowledge base for real-time maritime weather dissemination through a conversational interface. The system was implemented using Python and Streamlit within a four-layer monolithic architecture and covers six information categories, including early warnings, three-day weather summaries, and vessel safety recommendations across nine maritime regions in West Sumatra for four vessel types. A rule-based decision support module classifies sailing conditions as safe (aman) or cautionary (waspada) based on wind speed and wave height thresholds defined by Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics Agency of Indonesian (BMKG). Functional testing confirmed accurate responses across all menu features and free-form queries. Quantitative evaluation using 50 queries, scored on a 0–1 scale using ROUGE-L and TF-IDF cosine similarity, showed that the RAG-enabled model achieved an overall mean score of 0.2285, compared to 0.1425 for the non-RAG baseline (+0.0860) demonstrating that structured context grounding effectively reduces hallucination and enhances information reliability for maritime safety applications.

Abstract

Javanese script writing learning was still faced with limited interactive media and delayed assessment feedback in conventional classroom practices. An interactive mobile learning and assessment medium was therefore developed and named the Ngaksara mobile application. A canvas-based Android interface was provided to allow learners to write Javanese characters directly on the touchscreen. Handwritten input was processed through preprocessing and template matching stages, and the similarity between the input image and the standard character template was measured using Manhattan Distance. The assessment result was then converted into a learning category and displayed as immediate feedback for learners. The application used 80 expert-written Javanese character templates as reference templates, while 30 learner handwriting samples were used as evaluation data to assess the agreement between the system output and expert judgment. The system output was highly consistent with expert assessment, and a high level of accuracy was obtained in the handwriting evaluation process. The proposed application was therefore considered useful for supporting Javanese script writing practice and assessment. A simple and lightweight computational approach was also demonstrated, making the application practical for mobile-based educational implementation.
