Abstract

This study developed a differentiated learning model based on digital platforms to enhance educational quality in elementary schools in Lampung through a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. The research sample comprised three elementary schools in Bandar Lampung, involving 15 teachers from grades 4-6, three principals, and three educational technology experts as validators. Data were collected through validated questionnaires (α=0.85), structured interviews, classroom observations, achievement tests, and MSLQ motivation questionnaires. Analysis employed mixed methods concurrent embedded design with descriptive statistics, paired sample t-tests, and Braun & Clarke thematic analysis. Findings revealed a significant 23.4% improvement in student academic achievement (p<0.05), with the digital platform demonstrating 87.3% accuracy in identifying individual learning styles. Teachers' pedagogical competency transformation achieved an 86.7% confidence level in using educational technology. Student learning motivation increased with large effect size (Cohen's d=1.23), particularly in intrinsic motivation and self-regulation dimensions. A strong positive correlation (r=0.78) was identified between gamification features and student engagement. Despite encountering challenges related to digital divide and infrastructure limitations, the model demonstrates high replication potential through integrated approaches involving multi-level stakeholders. This research contributes significantly to the development of digital differentiated learning theory and provides a practical framework for sustainable educational technology implementation.

Abstract

The proliferation of digital technology in education necessitates innovative learning media that seamlessly integrate technology with conventional pedagogical approaches. This research attempts to develop and evaluate the efficacy of QR code-based smart cards as an autonomous mathematics practice medium. The methodology employed a Research and Development (R&D) framework using the ADDIE model, encompassing 120 secondary school students as participants. Data collection was conducted through achievement tests, motivation questionnaires, and learning observation protocols. The smart cards were ingeniously designed with QR code technology that establishes connectivity between physical content and digital platforms containing interactive exercises, instructional videos, and automated assessment systems. Research findings demonstrate substantial enhancement in student learning motivation by 78% and mathematics achievement by 65% compared to conventional methodologies. Analysis reveals that 92% of students experienced higher motivation attributed to accessibility and interactivity affordances. The integrated analytics system empowers educators to monitor student progress in real-time while delivering timely pedagogical feedback. This innovation proves effective in cultivating adaptive and engaging learning environments. QR code-based smart cards emerge as an innovative solution for enhancing mathematics education quality in the digital era while supporting effective autonomous learning implementation.

Abstract

This research endeavors to develop and examine the efficacy of digital situational simulation media in Arabic language learning at MTsN 2 Palembang. The methodology employed Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE model, encompassing 87 eighth-grade students. The analytical phase revealed that 78.2% of students encountered difficulties in applying Arabic vocabulary within authentic communicative contexts. The media was developed as a web-responsive platform incorporating six communicative scenarios and an artificial intelligence chatbot featuring 87.3% recognition accuracy. Expert panel validation demonstrated a Content Validity Ratio (CVR) of 0.92 with an average score of 4.6 on a 5-point scale for content validity. Implementation was conducted through three phases over 12 weeks using a quasi-experimental design. Research findings indicated substantial improvements in students' communicative competence: listening comprehension increased by 34.7 points, speaking proficiency by 28.9 points, and pragmatic competence by 31.2 points. Statistical analysis through paired-samples t-test yielded p-value < 0.001 with Cohen's d effect size of 1.23. Long-term retention evaluation demonstrated that 82.4% of students maintained their acquired competencies with only 12.3% degradation rate after 8 weeks. Digital situational simulation media proved remarkably effective in enhancing students' Arabic communicative competence both significantly and sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to design and develop an interactive video-based learning module for the digestive system material taught in Grade VIII at SMPN 2 Cimahi, West Java Province. The research is motivated by the limited effectiveness of conventional teaching methods and the low level of student engagement in grasping abstract biological concepts. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the study adopts the ADDIE model—Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The needs analysis revealed that the majority of students struggled with understanding digestive processes and strongly preferred visual-interactive media. The design and development phases produced a comprehensive module integrating 3D animations, virtual simulations, interactive quizzes, and augmented reality features to foster meaningful learning. Limited trials demonstrated significant improvement in students' learning outcomes, with an average normalized gain score of 0.64 and high engagement levels. Expert and practitioner validation indicated an excellent degree of feasibility across academic, technical, and practical dimensions. The resulting educational module proves to be an effective and innovative tool, well-aligned with the cognitive characteristics of junior high school students and the pedagogical demands of the digital age.

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of Canva platform in enhancing visualization within Social Studies learning among seventh-grade students at SMPN 10 Bandung. Employing a quantitative approach through quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, the research encompassed the entire seventh-grade population with random sampling yielding experimental (n=32) and control (n=30) groups. Research instruments comprised multiple-choice objective tests measuring cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheets assessing visualization capabilities, and learning motivation questionnaires. Canva implementation occurred across eight sessions focusing on Indonesia's socio-cultural diversity. Results demonstrated significant differences between experimental and control groups in cognitive learning outcomes (t=6.234, p<0.001), visualization abilities (t=9.847, p<0.001), and learning motivation (t=12.456, p<0.001) with Cohen's d=1.58 indicating large effect size. Delayed post-testing revealed experimental groups retained 89.3% of acquired knowledge compared to 65.7% in control groups. Transfer learning emerged in 72% of experimental students who applied visualization skills across other subjects. Behavioral observations indicated substantial reduction in classroom distractions and enhanced collaborative engagement. The study confirms Canva's efficacy in transforming abstract Social Studies concepts into concrete visual representations, facilitating meaningful learning experiences and sustained knowledge retention. These findings support educational technology integration through user-friendly platforms that democratize digital content creation while maintaining pedagogical effectiveness.
