Abstract

This research was to  find  using visual aid in teaching  Abstract out students teacher level of understanding fraction  at primary school. The  teaching consist ofconcept offraction, relation on  fraction,  fraction,  addition subtraction, multiplication and division of  The population of this study was students of D-II Classroom teacher at Faculty of Education of Yogtakarta State University. By using the quota proportional random sample of 25% there were 5l samples in this study. The data was collected by test application to the samples. The data level of understanding in using the visual aid was presented through descriptive analysis in percentages. The fraction equivalent fraction. findings presented in thre categories, which was low, medium and high understanding in using visual aid on teaching  fraction..The  concluded that: (l) 58,82% students have low understanding and 17,65% have high understanding in teaching concept offraction, (2) Their understanding in relation on  fraction,  addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in  were studlt equivalent fraction, fraction  mostly low. The worst was their understanding on equivalent fraction  90,20% were in the low category. The relatively "best"  high categolry was their understanding using visual aid on teaching concept and subtraction infraction, both were 7,84%.

Abstract

This study tried b rtnd  logyakarta oat the degree of teacher life satisfaction and its interactionwith their age, gender, and level of education. Researeh subject of this study were participants of creativity training  teachers. Questionnaire  personal background. It was  for  secondary school was used to reveal the life satisfaction and found  that most of the creativity training alumni of the secondary teachers perceived they had a high life satisfaction rank  from  future. The highest were: psychological satisfaction and in  Independent variables such as age, gender, and level of education turned out only level of education, that has a correlation with life satisfaction. Most of the subject have part time job and that might explain on their solution to the  fact  that teacher's salary is relatively low.

Abstract

The study was designed to describe the philosophical concept of education according ta Fukuzawa, especially his thought about the role of education  for  development of civilization. This study was a library research by high lighting a concept  from  a prominent  The data consisted of both the primary and secondary data. The primary data were Fulauawa's writing taken from  figure. this three boola: An Encouragement of Learning; Fulanawa Yudchi on Education: elected Worla; and An Outline of a Theory of Civilization. Secondary data were taken  from others expert's worlcs qbout Fuhtzawa. The method of this study was the philosophical hermeneutic method with interpretation, holistic, descriptive elements. The conclusion of this study are: (I) the role of education according to Fulauawa is the main way to reach the civilized of modern societli (2) the civilization spirit in identified by Fulauawa as the spirit to pursue and appreciate lmowledge and science and to realize virtue's value.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study contribution of visualization in motor learning. The research population is male and female  athletes in Yognkarta. The random sampling technique is utilized to select athletes as the sample of this research. This is a survey research and the data was collected by question- noire technique. There are three  (visual, auditory, and Hnesthetic) in each questionnoire. The results of this research factors  indicated that the contribution of auditory  visual  factor  is 46.91%o, and kinesthetic  factor  is 0.24o/o, factor is 52.85%o. The Iargest contribution in visualization among those from  the Hnesthetic  factor.  factors  The general conclusion is tlwt learning sport activities need all of those factors,  but kinesthetic is the most essential one.. The reason is that learning through direct various experiences will be mueh better than through obseryation. In learning sport sHlls, it is necessary to provide feedback  and use audio visual media as aids.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to developed a web-based transaction processing system of higher education academic administration that considered dota security. The system consisted of*ee parts ofsofiware, one for  network administrator, one  other  for  student. The  function  for  academic administrator staff, and the of each part should consider the user authorization. This research used Windows 97 operating system. Microsofi Access 97, l|/ebBase 4. 10 build 57, and a computer supported the software that was ready to be connected to computer network. Thirteen tables were built to store data. The system soJtware was written in I{TML, WebBase macro, and SQL to modify data in the tables. The sofiware was saved in htf files  that could be accessed with browser. Abstract

The purpose of the research is to disclosure the influence of using entry seleition  (NEM) ii  'physiial  'is'to  program based on the original government examination score iuitor  cindttion  high school (SLTP), abstract reasoningability, and for  senior high school SMU) students. The method used compute thi relationship of the entry selection program toward student achievement in Mathematics  and English. The model of the research is a case study at the SMU Tamansiswa Bandung involving a data analysis  ut d  1o,  for  the whole population of 454 students. The analysis technique this research is Product Moment Analysis and Linear Regression Analysis. From the data oulysis result it was concluded that entry seleition program has a positive and very significant effect  achievembnt. Generally speaking it can be concluded that the entry selection  program  for  for  the student fuIU which consist of NEM SLTP, abstract reasoning'ability, and pttysical condition is very  selection system ofthe new students.

Abstract

This research study was to  find  out the association bebteen the work maturiv, defined in ternts of teacher abilitv to think abstractlv ancl commit to the assigned tasks, and the quality of their teaching performances, defined as the planned behmiors of doing teaching-learning processes. her,ihis teachtn  capacity to generate students'learning in the classroom. To what extend teacher maturity correlate to teaching performances u:as the main problem to inr.,estigate within the contexts of the primary school teacher in-servicetraining for  a D-2 equivalent qualification. The two dimensions of teacher maturity include abstract thinking ability and work commitntent held bv the primary school teachers. Teacher maturitv, then, classified into three categorie.s: low, medium, and high. It Was expected lhat teacher maturitt' leyel would associate with teacher performances classtfied into good. dverage, and poor. Accordingly a kind ofa 3 by 3 dimension was designed to answer the proposed problem. Two hundred and rwenty primarv school teachers participating in an in-service program to obtained a D-2 equivalent qualification proportionally randomlv selected were included into this study. .,1 set o.f questionnaires was Developed and administered to the participating teachers in this research. The data were analyzed using a contingency, correlation method. The study  found a signrficant relationship, association between the level of teacher maturity and their level of teaching performances.
