Abstract

The Province of Bali is one of the provinces in Indonesia that still faces challenges in controlling Tuberculosis (TB). Specifically in Buleleng Regency, the latest data indicate that there are 583 tuberculosis patients. In this context, the role of PPTI cadres (Indonesian Tuberculosis Eradication Association) in tuberculosis control programs is greatly needed. With a total of 120 cadres, the ratio of cadres to TB patients is 1:6. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the methods used by PPTI cadres of the Buleleng Branch in disseminating information about tuberculosis include: (1) providing education to the community about tuberculosis, its prevention, and treatment; (2) increasing community participation in the eradication of tuberculosis; and (3) conducting education and training for the community to serve as cadres, educators, and drug-taking supervisors. It was also found that, as motivators, PPTI cadres of the Buleleng Branch carry out roles such as providing assistance to tuberculosis patients, conducting routine supervision of tuberculosis patients, and motivating patients to undergo treatment until recovery. PPTI cadres, who do not receive financial compensation, voluntarily carry out their duties and responsibilities as the frontline in tuberculosis control efforts.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of electronic attendance in shaping the work culture of Civil Servants (PNS) at the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing and Settlement Areas Office (PUPRPKP) of Tabanan Regency. The purpose of the study is to understand the impact of the electronic attendance system on the formation of civil servants' work culture. The research uses a qualitative approach with observation, interview, and documentation techniques, and utilizes primary and secondary data. The theoretical foundation uses the theory of decision making Xing (2015) and the behavioral theory of Notoatmodjo (2017). The results of the study show that online presence has a positive impact on the level of discipline of civil servants of the Tabanan Regency PUPRPKP Office. This is evident from the improvement in the performance of agencies that achieved a B rating in the Government Agency Performance Report (LKJIP). The implementation of this system has succeeded in eliminating the practice of manipulating absences such as depositing or resuming absences that previously occurred in the manual system. Online attendance is also a requirement to get Employee Income Supplement (TPP). Even though there are still employees who are late, they still show dedication in carrying out their responsibilities to provide excellent service to the community.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the quality of health services in increasing community satisfaction at the Penebel II Health Center, Tabanan Regency. The approach in this study is qualitative descriptive analysis, because the researcher can obtain previously unexpected findings and can represent visible phenomena. From written data and through interviews with informants and sources, it is hoped that they can present the results of the research more clearly and with quality. Through data analysis, it shows that the quality of services at the Penebel II Health Center is good, but there are still a few shortcomings that need to be improved, namely in the field of physical evidence, so that the quality of health services at the Penebel II Health Center is more effective and efficient. The facilities and infrastructure at the Penebel II Health Center are still inadequate, where the facilities and infrastructure for the Patient and Family Waiting Room. In addition, in the field of human resources, it can be said that there is a shortage of medical personnel (doctors). Where from the results of interviews conducted by the researcher, there were patients who complained about the lack of availability of doctors. Furthermore, satisfaction because when the patient is satisfied due to the absence of complaints submitted by the patient about, employees/nurses are diligent in serving the community, employees/nurses are patient in serving the community, employees/nurses are sincere in providing services, Employees/nurses are fair, without discriminating, employees/nurses are open in providing services.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of supervision conducted by the Department of Industry and Trade of Tabanan Regency in managing the Dauh Pala Traditional Market, located in Tabanan District, Tabanan Regency. The study employed a qualitative research approach with a descriptive observational design and utilized purposive sampling techniques. The indicators used to assess supervisory effectiveness included accuracy, centralization, timeliness, flexibility, and guidance-oriented operational characteristics. Data were collected through field surveys, in-depth interviews, and literature review. The findings reveal that supervision at the Dauh Pala Traditional Market has not yet been effective based on the established indicators. Several unresolved issues remain, primarily due to obstacles faced by the Department of Industry and Trade of Tabanan Regency, including inadequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as insufficient budget allocation. This study suggests that supervisory activities should be conducted more consistently rather than limited to weekly or incidental inspections. In addition, supervisory officers should provide continuous guidance to traders, particularly those with rigid mindsets, to foster a culture of orderliness and cleanliness. Enhancing supervisory facilities, such as increasing the availability of motor vehicles, is also recommended to support more effective supervision.

Abstract

This study analyzes the leadership style of the Secretary of the Council in improving the performance of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) at the Secretariat of the Tabanan Regency DPRD. Using a qualitative descriptive method with the leadership style theory of Lippit and White, this study examines three leadership styles: autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire. The results of the study show that the Secretary of the Council implements a democratic leadership style that has proven effective in improving the performance of ASN. The inhibiting factors identified include changing situational conditions and the leader's indecisiveness in dealing with subordinates. Meanwhile, supporting factors include the availability of adequate budgets, supporting infrastructure, quality human resources, and good communication and motivation from leaders. Effective communication and motivation provided by leaders create comfort and work spirit for subordinates, so that activities at the Tabanan Regency DPRD Secretariat can be carried out optimally. Based on the indicators studied, the democratic leadership style applied has been running well and can be said to be effective and efficient in improving the performance of civil servants.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the policy of issuing Sailing Approval Letters (SPB) at the Benoa Class II Port Authority and Kesyahbandaran Office. SPB is a state document issued by syahbandar for ships that have met seaworthiness requirements before sailing. The problems identified include the number of ships sailing without SPB, delays in issuing documents, lack of understanding of fishermen about SPB rules, and the condition of ships that do not meet standards. This violation can be subject to a maximum of 1 year in prison and a fine of IDR 1 billion. The study uses Edward III's implementation theory with four variables: communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. The results of the study show that the implementation of the SPB policy has been running well, but there are still obstacles in the form of budget limitations and low awareness of the service user community about the importance of SPB. The recommendations put forward include increased socialization and communication to reduce violations, increased local government budget allocation for law implementation, and increased public awareness through technical guidance and socialization involving relevant stakeholders to ensure sailing safety.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of Employee Income Supplement (TPP) on employee morale in the Regional Coordinator of the West Denpasar District Youth and Sports Office. Using the census method with 19 respondents who are the total population, this study applies a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through questionnaires and documentation. The characteristics of the respondents showed the dominance of male employees (63%), the majority were educated in S1/D4 (58%), and most were in group III (63%). The analysis of TPP variables showed good results with an average score of 51.63, where 58% of respondents gave a good rating and 42% were quite good. Based on the 15 indicators measured, the total score reached 981 with an average of 65.40. The results of the study prove that the TPP given is good and has a significant positive correlation with employee morale. The magnitude of the influence of TPP on employee morale is 19.62%, showing that financial incentives have a real contribution in increasing employee motivation and work productivity in the government environment.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Beraban Village government in the management of the Tanah Lot Traditional Market using a qualitative descriptive approach with observation and interview techniques. Based on the theory of role and management, this study aims to analyze the role and efforts of the village government in managing the traditional market. The results of the study show that the Beraban Village government plays an active role in the management of the Tanah Lot Traditional Market. This can be seen from the high concern for the market which has a complete complement of traders and a diversity of merchandise, making it one of the most visited traditional markets compared to other markets in South Kediri District. However, even though management efforts have been carefully planned with market managers, the principles of efficiency and effectiveness have not been optimal. The manager has not been able to make the most of the available facilities, so the expected goals have not been fully achieved. The conclusion of the study shows that the Beraban Village government has shown an active role, while the market management has quite good management but still needs optimization to achieve maximum and effective management.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of managers in improving the performance of employees of PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk in Megati Village, East Selemadeg District. Managers play a key role in encouraging employee performance to achieve effective and efficient organizational goals, as well as driving motivation and directing employees. This qualitative descriptive research was conducted at PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk Megati Branch, Tabanan-Bali. Primary data was obtained from informants selected using purposive sampling, including managers, QC analysts, operational admins, engineers, and employees. The results of the study identified three main roles of managers: (1) Interpersonal roles as figureheads, leaders, and intermediary officials; (2) Informational role as monitors, disseminators, and spokespersons; (3) The role of decisional makers as entrepreneurs, disruptors, resource distributors, and negotiators. The conclusion of the study shows that the role of managers has been well implemented and has made a significant contribution to improving employee performance. The role of leader, monitor, disseminator, disturbance handler, and negotiator has proven to be very influential in improving the performance of company employees.
