Abstract

The development of underwater vehicle technology is commonly utilized in defences. NKRI needs this technology for applications and multifunctional technology becomes an important thing, since its modernization leads to developed AUV as Republics-of-Indonesia’s main weapon is sea defence. This paper proposes motion control system design applying equation of motion with 2 Degree of Freedom (DOF) to AUV system. The equation of AUV motion with 2-DOF covers surge motion and rolling motion is in the form of nonlinear equation. The control system design applied to the system of UNUSAITS AUV uses method of Sliding Proportional Integral Derivative (SPID). The result of SPID control system with the equation of motion with 2-DOF suggested that the stability of the system was reached when the resulted errors on surge motion and rolling motion were respectively 0.002% and 0.05%.

Abstract

We introduce an idea of convergent sequence in a cone 2-normed space. We show that the convergence in 2-normed spaces using the definition of 2-norm by considering its dual space. Then we construct the convergence in cone 2-normed space, particularly for l2-space.

Abstract

In the current global competition, companies are required to save money in order to survive. One of the expenses that can be reduced is the cost of inventory control. To minimize these costs, we require a proper planning and management of the inventory. Ordering supplies should be performed at a certain time period, especially with uncertain demand. As such, the company must determine when to order at the suppliers and how many should be ordered. So there will be no excess inventory in the warehouse because of too much ordering or because of the inventory cannot meet demand due to late or too little order to suppliers. Consequently, in this research, a quadratic cost functional is used as the objective function in multi-supplier inventory management problem with different lead time. Optimal control theory, LQR (Linear Quadratic Regulator) is used to solve this problem. According to the simulation, we conclude that the smaller weight resulted in more optimal inventory cost.

Abstract

The problem of scheduling is a problem that becomes part of project management that aims to plan the implementation of activities in a project in a structured manner with a clear time limit. Kupang ikat woven is an Indonesian handicraft that the process of making it through the stages of structured activities with a long time limit. Thus, in this study we intend to estimate the optimal time required to manufacture the Kupang ikat woven by applying the Max-Plus algebra method. In this case, the linkages between activities within a project can be transformed into a matrix form which can be analyzed using Max-Plus algebra method. This matrix will be applied in the calculation to get the solution needed in project scheduling, in this case is the optimum time required of making Kupang ikat woven.

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and World Health Organization (WHO) information dissemination through Twitter on the exchange rates of Southeast Asian countries. The study utilizes a VAR model for analysis, incorporating daily positive cases and the percentage of tweets with positive sentiment as proxies for the pandemic and WHO information, respectively. The VAR models are employed for forecasting and estimating impulse response functions (IRF) and forecast error variance decomposition (FEVD). The forecasting performance is evaluated using mean absolute error (MAE), root-mean-square error (RMSE), and R2 metrics, revealing that only Cambodia possesses a reliable forecasting model. The IRF analysis demonstrates varying effects of the pandemic and WHO information across different countries, while the FEVD results indicate distinct contributions of the pandemic and WHO information in each Southeast Asian country. Additionally, the FEVD analysis reveals that exchange rates are mostly influenced by their own past behavior. Overall, this study provides insights into the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and WHO information on exchange rates in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Decision tree, one of classification method, can be done to find out the factors that predict something with interpretable result. However, a small and unbalanced percentage will make the classification only lead to the majority class. Therefore, handling imbalance class needs to be done. One method that often used in nominal predictor data is SMOTE-N. For accuracy improving, a hybrid SMOTE-N and ADASYN-N was developed. SMOTE-N-ENN and ADASYN-N were developed for accuracy improvement. In this study, SMOTE-N, SMOTE-N-ENN and ADASYN-N will be compared in handling imbalance class in the classification of premarital sex among adolescent using base class CART. The conclusion obtained regarding the best method for handling class imbalance is ADASYN-N because it provides the highest AUC compared to SMOTE-N and SMOTE-N-ENN. The best decision tree provides information that factors that can predict adolescents having premarital sexual relations are dating style, knowledge of the fertile period, knowledge of the risk of young marriage, gender, recent education, and area of residence.

Abstract

To obtain information from a population, we use a sampling method. One of sampling techniques that we can use is double sampling. Double sampling is a sampling technique based on the information of first phase which is used as an additional information obtaining estimates for the second phase. In this case, we discuss the model of double sampling with regression estimator. Then, to obtain the optimal number of samples for the first and second phases, we use Lagrange multipliers. The model analysis result is a formula to calculate the optimal number of samples for the first phase (n0) and the second phase (n1). Implementation of this method is simulated by using teak stands data from previous studies at Forest Management Unit (FMU) Madiun which consists of Section Forest Management Units (FSMU) Dagangan and Dungus. The calculation result of data from FSMU Dagangan, we get optimal number of plots must be observed in image interpretation are 149 plots and field survey are 14 plots. And with the data from FSMU Dungus, we get optimal number of plots to be observed in image interpretation are 153 plots and field survey are 20 plots.

Abstract

Efforts to maintain and improve the quality of the resulting product can be done by using statistical quality control. One of the methods used in quality control is DOB (Decision On Belief) control chart. DOB control chart is a controller diagram which is used in quality control of univariate data. In this paper, we discuss quality control of the water meter tools using DOB control chart. The case study is in PDAM Surya Sembada Surabaya. Production quality control can also be applied to the c univariate control chart to compute the sensitivity of DOB control chart. Implementation of c control chart and DOB control chart indicates that the data of water meter tools have not been statistically controlled. Application of DOB control chart provides results that are more sensitive by 23.33% than c control chart based on the amount of data that is out of control.

Abstract

The notions of I-vague vector spaces of vector spaces with membership and non-membership functions taking values in an involutary dually residuated lattice ordered semigroup are introduced which generalizes the notions with truth values in a Boolean algebra as well as those usual vague sets whose membership and non-membership functions taking values in the unit interval [0, 1]. We discuss some properties of I-vague vector spaces.
