Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbantuan komputer pada materi fertilisasi manusia yang sesuai dengan kaidah penelitian dan pengembangan; (2) mengetahui kualitas media pembelajaran hasil pengembangan ditinjau dari aspek materi dan aspek media; (3) meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran berbantuan komputer pada materi fertilisasi manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model dari Borg dan Gall. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) media pembelajaran berbantuan komputer dikembangkan melalui studi pendahuluan, desain produk, produksi dan validasi, uji coba dan revisi, dan produk akhir; (2) kualitas media pembelajaran ditinjau dari aspek materi dan aspek media dinilai “sangat baik”; (3) terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar.Kata Kunci: media pembelajaran, fertilisasi manusia, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar Developing Computer-Based Learning Media to Improve Motivation and Learning Outcome AbstractThe aims of this study were: (1) to developed computer-based learning media on the human fertilization topic according to the rules of research and development; (2) to investigate the quality of the developed learning media in terms of materials and media aspects; (3) to improve the motivation and student’s learning outcomes using computer-based learning media on the topic of human fertilization. The type of this study was a Research and Development (RD) by referring from Borg and Gall. The results study showed that: (1) Computer-based learning media was developed throught the preliminary study, product design, production and validation, tryout and revision, and final product; (2) The quality of the learning media in terms of the materials aspect and the media aspect was in the very good category; (3) There was an improvement on the students learning motivation and learning outcomes.Keywords: learning media, human fertilization, learning motivation, learning outcome

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui kelayakan lembar kegiatan peserta didik (LKPD) IPA yang dikembangkan dengan pendekatan guided inquiry di SMP/MTs. (2) meningkatkan produk kreativitas peserta didik berupa mapping melalui penggunaan LKPD IPA yang dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (RD) dengan mengacu pada model Borg Gall yang dimodifikasi. Kelayakan produk dinilai oleh seorang ahli materi dan seorang ahli media, tiga pendidik IPA, dan dua teman sejawat. Ujicoba produk dilakukan sebanyak dua kali yaitu ujicoba terbatas dan ujicoba lapangan. Subjek penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas VIII SMP/MTs.. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) LKPD hasil pengembangan dinilai “sangat baik” ditinjau dari aspek materi, aspek penyajian, aspek kebahasaan, dan aspek kegrafikaan, dan (2) terjadi peningkatan produk kreativitas peserta didik berupa mapping dari rerata skor 172,47 naik menjadi 311,06. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa LKPD IPA dengan topik “Cahaya dalam Kehidupan” layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan produk kreativitas peserta didik berupa mapping.Kata Kunci: LKPD, IPA, pendekatan guided inquiry, produk kreativitas peserta didik, mapping Developing Guided Inquiry Science SAS to Improve Students’ Creativity Product AbstractThe aim of this study was: (1) to determine the feasibility of students’ activity sheet (SAS) which was developed through inquiry approach on science at SMP/MTs, (2) to improve product of students’ creativity in the form of mapping through the use of SAS which was developed. This study was Research and Development (R D) which used Borg Gall’s model. It was modified from ten to seven steps. The assesment of this product was conducted by the judgement from a material expert and a media expert, three science teachers, and two collegues. The subject of this study were students of Year VIII. The product tested twice: preliminary field and main field testing. The preliminary field testing was administered at MTsN Donomulyo Kulon Progo while main field testing was administered at Junior High School of Wates 2 Kulon Progo. The result of the study showed that: (1) the developed SAS was in “very good” category in terms of the materials aspect, the presentation aspect, the language aspect, and the graphic aspect and (2) there was improvement from the products of students’ creativity in the form of mapping from 172.47 to 311.06. The result of the development showed that the SAS of science learning with the topic of “Light in Life” was suitable to be used to improve the product of students’ creativity in the form of mapping.Keywords: SAS, Science, guided inquiry approach, students’ creativity product, mapping

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) keefektifan metode penemuan terbimbing dan metode pemberian tugas ditinjau dari prestasi dan motivasi belajar matematika dan (2) membandingkan metode penemuan terbimbing dengan metode pemberian tugas ditinjau dari prestasi dan motivasi belajar matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian mencakup semua siswa kelas IX SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta tahun pelajaran 2014 -2015. Sampel dipilih secara acak dua kelas dari populasi, yaitu kelas IX Bilingual dan kelas IX IT. Kelas IX Bilingual diberi perlakuan dengan metode penemuan terbimbing dan kelas IX IT dengan metode pemberian tugas. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan non tes. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) metode penemuan terbimbing dan metode pemberian tugas efektif ditinjau dari prestasi dan motivasi belajar matematika dan( 2)  metode penemuan terbimbing sama efektif dengan metode pemberian tugas  ditinjau dari prestasi dan motivasi belajar matematika.Kata Kunci: metode penemuan terbimbing, metode pemberian tugas, prestasi, motivasi The Effectiviness of The Guided Discovery Method and Recitation Method in Learning Curved Surface Solids AbstractThis study aimed to describe: (1) the effectiveness  guided discovery method and recitation method in terms of achievement and mathematics learning motivation; and (2) comparing the guided discovery method  with recitation method in terms of achievement and mathematics learning motivation. This research was a quasi-experiment. The research population are all students in grade IX of SMP Muhammdiyah 3 Yogyakarta in the academic year of 2014-2015. From the population two classes are randomly selected as the sample, those classes are IX Bilingual and IX IT. IX Bilingual received the treatment of the guided discovery method and class IX IT received the treatment recitation method. The data collection techniques were tests and non tests. The result of research shows that: (1) the guided discovery method and recitation method are effective in terms of achievement and mathematics learning motivation; and (2) the guided discovery method is as effective as the recitation method in terms of mathematics achievement and learning motivation.Keywords: one guided discovery method, recitation method, achievement,  motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan guru fisika SMA/MA di Kabupaten Ende dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian hasil belajar dalam aspek: (1) kisi-kisi soal ulangan akhir semester, (2) soal ulangan akhir semester, dan (3) pengolahan hasil ulangan akhir semester. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian evaluasi. Model evaluasi yang digunakan adalah model kesenjangan, yaitu menekankan pada pandangan adanya kesenjangan dalam pelaksanaan program. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru fisika SMA/MA sebanyak 33 orang dan diambil 20 orang sebagai sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini meliputi lembar dokumentasi dan lembar kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan guru fisika SMA/MA di Kabupaten Ende dalam menyusun instrumen penilaian hasil belajar termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi, yaitu kemampuan (1) menyusun kisi-kisi soal ulangan akhir semester termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi, (2) menyusun soal ulangan akhir semester termasuk dalam kriteria sangat tinggi, dan (3) mengolah hasil ulangan akhir semester termasuk dalam kriteria tinggi.Kata Kunci: instrumen, penilaian. An Evaluation of Senior High School Physics Teachers’ Competency in Constructing Learning Outcome Evaluation Instruments AbstractThis study aimed to investigate the competency of senior high school (SHS)/Islamic senior high school (ISHS) physics teachers in Ende Regency in constructing learning outcome evaluation instruments in terms of: (1) the test item specifications, (2) the test items, and (3) the results of the semester examination. This was an evaluation study employing the quantitative approach. The evaluation model in this study was the discrepancy model, which emphasized that there was a discrepancy in the program implementation. The research population comprised 33 SHS/ISHS physics teachers and 20 teachers were taken as samples by sample purposively technique. The research instruments consisted of documentation sheets and a questionnaire. The data were analyzed by means of the quantitative descriptive technique. The results of the study showed that the competency of SHS/ISHS physics teachers in constructing learning outcome evaluation instruments was including high criteria. From each variable, their competency was as follows. (1) Their competency in making the test item specifications of the semester examination was including high criteria. (2) Their competency in constructing the test items of the semester examination was including very high criteria. (3) Their competency in processing the results of the semester examination was including high criteria.Keywords: evaluation, instruments

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: keefektifan PBL setting STAD ditinjau dari prestasi, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy; keefektifan PBL setting TGT ditinjau dari prestasi, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy; perbandingan keefektifan PBL setting STAD dengan PBL setting TGT ditinjau dari prestasi, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu, dengan rancangan pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs N Sleman Kota, dari populasi yang ada diambil secara acak dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Untuk menguji keefektifan PBL setting STAD dan TGT digunakan one sample t-test. Selanjutnya, untuk membandingkan keefektifan PBL setting STAD dan TGT, dianalisis menggunakan uji T2 Hotteling’s. Karena terdapat perbedaan keefektifan, maka dilanjutkan uji t-univariat. Setiap analisis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: PBL setting STAD efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy; PBL setting TGT efektif ditinjau dari prestasi, berpikir kritis, dan self-efficacy; PBL setting TGT lebih efektif dibandingkan PBL setting STAD ditinjau dari berpikir kritis. Namun, PBL setting TGT sama efektif dibandingkan PBL setting STAD ditinjau dari prestasi dan self-efficacy.Kata Kunci: PBL setting STAD, PBL setting TGT, prestasi, berpikir kritis, self-efficacy The Effectiveness PBL of STAD and TGT Type In Terms Of The Achievements, Critical Thinking, and Self-Efficacy AbstractThis research aims to describe: the effectiveness PBL of STAD type in terms of the achievements, critical thinking, and self-efficacy; the effectiveness PBL of TGT type in terms of the achievements, critical thinking, and self-efficacy; comparative effectiveness the PBL of STAD type  with the PBL of TGT type in terms of the achievements, critical thinking, and self-efficacy. This research was a quasi-experimental research with the pretest-posttest non-equivalent comparison-group design. The research population included all 7th grade students of MTs N Sleman Kota, from the population two classes were randomly selected as the research sample. To test the effectiveness of PBL of STAD and TGT type, the one sample t-test was used. Furthermore, to compare the effectiveness of the PBL of STAD and TGT type, the data were analyzed using the multivariate test of the T2 Hotteling’s. Because there were differences in effectiveness, then further t-univariate test was done. Each analysis was performed at the significance level of 5%. The results show that: the PBL of STAD type is effective in terms of achievement, critical thinking, and self-efficacy; the PBL of TGT type is effective in terms of achievement, critical thinking, and self-efficacy; the PBL of TGT type is more effective than that using the PBL of STAD type in terms of critical thinking. But, the PBL of TGT type is as effective as that using the PBL of STAD type in terms of achievement and self-efficacy.Keywords: PBL of STAD type, PBL of TGT type, achievement, critical thinking, self-efficacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kinerja profesional dan self-efficacy guru fisika lulusan S-1 pendidikan fisika yang mengajar di SMA se-Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 guru fisika di SMA se-Kota Kupang yang lulus S1 pendidikan fisika tahun 2008 sampai dengan 2012. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, observasi dan dokumentasi. Semua instrumen penelitian dikembangkan oleh peneliti sendiri dan telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan teknik analisis deskriptif menggunakan pendekatan kurva normal yang dikonversi dalam skala-5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kinerja profesional guru fisika lulusan S-1 pendidikan fisika yang mengajar di SMA se-Kota Kupang berkategori baik, dengan perolehan nilai 3,77 dalam skala-5. Sedangkan self-efficacy guru fisika lulusan S-1 pendidikan fisika yang mengajar di SMA se-Kota Kupang berkategori tinggi, dengan perolehan nilai 3,97 dalam skala-5.Kata Kunci: kinerja profesional, self-efficacy, guru fisika The Professional Performance and Self-Efficacy of Physics Teachers Senior High Schools of Bachelor Graduate of Physics Education in Kupang AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the professional performance and self-efficacy of S-1 graduate physics education teachers of senior high schools in Kupang City. The framework of this research is descriptive. The subjects in this research are 13 physic teachers at senior high schools in Kupang City, who finished their S-1 program in physics education from 2008 to 2012. The data were collected using a questionnaire and through observation and documentation. The instruments of the research were developed by the researcher and they were valid and reliable. The data were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques using the normal curve converted in the scale of 5. The result shows that the professional performance of S-1 graduates of physics education teacher of senior high schools in Kupang City is in a good category, with the gain score of 3.77 in the scale of 5. While their self-efficacy can be categorized as high, with the gain score of 3.97 in the scale of 5.Keywords: professional performance, self-efficacy, physics teacher

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh pembelajaran dengan mengguna-kan modul interaktif dan modul konvensional terhadap pemahaman konsep IPA siswa. Penelitian juga memeriksa pemahaman konsep IPA antara siswa laki-laki dan siswa perempuan yang belajar dengan menggunakan modul interaktif. Jenis penelitian ini quasi exsperiment dengan desain counterbalanced. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kandangan. Penentuan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan pembelajaran de-ngan menggunakan modul multimedia interaktif dan modul konvensional terhadap pemahaman kon-sep IPA siswa pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Skor pemahaman konsep IPA siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul multimedia interaktif lebih tinggi dibandingkan skor siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan modul konvensional. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan tidak berbeda signifikan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa laki-laki dan perempuan yang belajar dengan modul  interaktifKata kunci: modul interaktif, modul konvensional, pemahaman konsep IPA. The Differences of Effect of Teaching by Using Interactive Module and Conventional Module on the Understanding of Science Concept AbstractThe objectives of this study were to investigate the differences of effect of theaching by using the interactive module and conventional module to the understanding of science concept. It was also to examine the understanding of science concept between boys and girls who studied by using interactive multimedia module. This research was a quasi-experiment employing the counterbalanced design. The research population was all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 1 Kandangan. The sampling was conducted by using the cluster sampling technique. The instrument used to measure the understanding of science concept was a cognitive test in the multiple choice form. The data were analyzed by using the independent sample t-test. The result of study showed that there was significant difference effect of learning by using interactive module and conventional module on the understanding of science con-cept at a significance level 0.05. The score of the students were taught by using interactive multimedia module were higher than by module. The result also showed that there was no significant difference of understanding of science concept between boys and girls who studied by using interactive multimedia module at a significance level 0.05.Keywords: interactive module, conventional module understanding of science concept

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan model pembelajaran Problem-Based Learning (PBL) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan investigasi dan ranah afektif yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan Borg Gall.  Subjek penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa  kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. Analisis data dilakukan dengan mengkonversi total skor aktual yang diperoleh menjadi data kualitatif skala lima. Produk yang dikembangkan, yaitu buku model pembelajaran PBL, RPP, lembar kerja (LK), tes prestasi belajar (TPB), dan tes kemampuan investigasi (TKI). Hasil validasi ahli, skor penilaian guru, tanggapan siswa, observasi pembelajaran, tes prestasi belajar, dan tes kemampuan investigasi menunjukkan bahwa buku model pembelajaran PBL, RPP, lembar kerja (LK), tes prestasi belajar (TPB), dan tes kemampuan investigasi (TKI) adalah valid, praktis, dan efektif. Dengan demikian, secara keseluruhan penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan layak untuk digunakan ditinjau dari aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan.Kata Kunci: pengembangan model pembelajaran, problem based learning, kemampuan investigasi, ranah afektif Developing PBL Model on Mathematics Lesson to Enhance Investigation Skills and Affective Factor Of 7th Grade Students AbstractThis study aimed to develop Problem Based Learning (PBL) model which is valid, practical and effective for enhancing investigation skills and affective factor. This study was research and development which applied Borg and Gall development methodology. The subjects of this study were 35 grade 7 students of SMP N 6 Yogyakarta. The data analysis was done by converting the actual score into qualitative data with standard scale of five. The developed products were Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model book, lesson plan, worksheet, learning test, and investigation skill test. Based on the results of validation experts, teacher’s appraisal, students’ response, learning observation, learning test and investigation skill’s test, the developed products were valid, practical and effective. In general, this study has shown that the developed products were reliable to be used as they fulfill the valid, practical and effectiveness aspects.Keywords: learning model development, problem based learning, investigation skill, affective factor

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara (1) latar belakang pendidikan dengan kompetensi guru, (2) persepsi pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dengan kompetensi guru dan (3) latar belakang pendidikan dan persepsi pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dengan kompetensi guru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pendekatan kuantitatif non-eksperimen. Data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis korelasi parsial dan linear berganda. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Korelasi antar variabel latar belakang pendidikan (X1) dengan kompetensi guru fisika SMA/MA di Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara (Y) menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,002 0,05, (2) Korelasi antar variabel persepsi pemanfaatan media pembelajaran (X2) dengan kompetensi guru fisika SMA/MA di Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara (Y) tidak menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan nilai signifikan  0,137 0,05; (3) Korelasi regresi ganda antar variabel X1 dan X2 dengan variabel Y keduanya menunjukkan hasil yang signifikan berdasarkan hasil statistik uji F, dimana nilai F sebesar 17,670 dan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,0000,05Kata Kunci: latar belakang pendidikan, media pembelajaran, dan kompetensi. Background Relationships Education and Utilization of Instructional Media Perceptions of the Teachers' Competence Physics AbstractThis study aimed to determine the relationship between; (1) educational background, (2) perception of the use of instructional media, and (3) educational backgrounds and perceptions of instructional media utilization and the competence of physics teachers of SMA/MA in Southeast Maluku Regency.This research included the study of quantitative non-experimental approach.The results of the correlation analysis were as follows. (1) The correlation between educational background variable (X1) and the competence of physics teachers of SMA/ MA in Southeast Maluku Regency (Y) was statistically significant where the t test results obtain the t value of 3.5, and  at the significance level of 0.002 where the variable X1 is smaller than the significance level of 5%. (2) The correlation between the use of instructional media perception variable (X2) and the competence of physics teachers of SMA/MA in Southeast Maluku Regency (Y) was not statistically significant based on the t test of 1.551 and 0.137 which was significantly greater than the significance level of 5%. (3) The multiple regression correlation between variables X1 and X2 with two Y variables showed significant results based on the results of the test statistic F, which obtained the F value of 17.670 and at significance level of  0.000 which was smaller than the significance level of 5%.Keywords: background  education, learning  media, and competence.
