Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the Tor-Tor dance into the Merdeka Curriculum as a means of developing character in elementary school students. Tor-Tor dance, as a Batak cultural heritage rich in ethical, social, and spiritual values, has the potential to instill discipline, cooperation, and responsibility among learners. The research employs a qualitative literature review approach, examining curriculum documents, character education theories, and cultural sources related to Tor-Tor dance. The analysis reveals that Tor-Tor dance can serve as an effective learning medium by combining cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects while reinforcing local cultural identity. The study emphasizes the importance of incorporating culturally based teaching materials to support character development grounded in the noble values of the nation.

Abstract

This research is based on the low achievement of fourth-grade students in social studies, which have not yet met the established Minimum Completion Criteria. This is due to the teacher-centered learning process, which uses conventional teaching methods. This learning process does not optimally encourage student activity and engagement, creating a monotonous learning environment that results in low student motivation and enthusiasm for learning. This study used the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model, which emphasizes student-centered learning, where students connect, organize, rethink, and expand their understanding of the learning material. This study employed a nonequivalent control group design with a sample of 72 students (36 students in the control class and 36 students in the experimental class). The research instrument was a multiple-choice test that had been piloted. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that the CORE (connecting, organizing, reflecting, and extending) learning model significantly influences the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at MIN 1 Padangsidempuan. This is demonstrated by the hypothesis test calculation using a paired sample t-test, which showed a value of 0.000 < 0.05, thus rejecting H0 and accepting Ha.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Islamic educational philosophy approaches that are relevant to the challenges of shaping the character of Generations Z and Alpha in the digital age.. The main issue examined is the occurrence of value disorientation and moral degradation due to the massive penetration of technology in educational life. The purpose of this study is to formulate a technology-based Islamic education concept grounded in the values of tawhid, akhlak, and hikmah. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive analytical approach through literature study and critical review of previous research results. The results show that the integration of Islamic values in educational technology can create a balance between spiritual intelligence and digital competence. Islamic educational philosophy acts as an ethical guide that directs the use of technology towards the formation of Qur'anic character, digital competence, and civility. This study confirms that technology-based Islamic education has great potential in shaping a generation that is adaptive, innovative, and noble in character in the digital age.

Abstract

This article describes the implementation of a religious moderation program in Karya Maju Village, which aims to strengthen tolerance and cooperation among community members. The activities were carried out through socialization, discussion forums, and collaborative religious practices involving local youth and community leaders. The program encouraged residents to adopt more open and appreciative attitudes toward diversity. The results showed that community members began to interact more cooperatively and respectfully in both religious and social activities. This indicates that the application of religious moderation can be an effective approach to maintaining harmony in a plural society.

Abstract

This study analyzes the application of SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) as a strategic instrument in planning quality improvement in elementary schools. The main focus of this study is how SWOT analysis can help schools formulate adaptive, collaborative, and sustainability-oriented policies amid the challenges of globalization and digital transformation. This analytical approach not only serves as a tool for identifying the internal and external conditions of schools, but also as a reflective mechanism to strengthen the participation of all stakeholders, including principals, teachers, parents, and the community, in creating a culture of sustainable quality. The results of the study show that the application of SWOT can improve the effectiveness of school strategic planning through the formulation of policies based on data and real needs, strengthen adaptive capabilities to policy changes, and encourage more visionary and measurable decision-making. Critically, this study emphasizes that SWOT analysis is not merely an administrative procedure, but part of the transformation of educational management towards a reflective, participatory, and quality-oriented system. Through the optimal utilization of internal strengths and external opportunities, elementary schools can become learning institutions that are resilient, innovative, and relevant to the needs of the 21st century.
