Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of sustainable principles in modern residential interior design and focuses on aesthetic aspects. With increasing attention to environmental sustainability issues, interior design plays an important role in reducing environmental impacts through the selection of environmentally friendly materials, efficient energy use, and space optimization. However, the aesthetic aspect cannot be separated from design, because it plays a role in creating visual comfort and occupant well-being. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with an interdisciplinary approach, which includes literature reviews, design analysis, and case studies on several interior projects that have successfully combined sustainable and aesthetic principles. The results of the study show that interior design that considers sustainability not only focuses on energy efficiency and the selection of environmentally friendly materials, but also integrates aesthetic elements that enhance the comfort of the space. These findings emphasize the importance of public and designer awareness in creating functional, environmentally friendly, and aesthetic spaces. This study is expected to provide theoretical and practical contributions to the development of interior design that supports sustainability without sacrificing the aesthetic quality and comfort of the space.

Abstract

Karanggede Sismamedika Hospital carried out a brand identity redesign in 2021. Along with this brand identity redesign, renovations were also carried out on the building and its interior layout. This has implications for the emergence of new problems related to the brand image that must be immediately created for the building and its spatial layout. The aim of this research is to design an appropriate environmental graphic design concept as an effort to create a brand image through new spatial planning and realizing the concept into an environmental graphic design work that is in accordance with the brand identity of Karanggede Sismamedika Hospital. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques of observation, interviews and literature study. The result of this research is a visual communication work that applies brand identity to the exterior and interior of Karanggede Sismamedika Hospital. The conclusion obtained from this research is that brand image can be realized if environmental graphic design pays close attention to aspects of aesthetics, function and user comfort.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development, challenges, and opportunities of Ro-Ro ships in the maritime transportation system in Indonesia. As an archipelagic country, Indonesia needs an efficient mode of sea transportation to connect areas between islands. The method used is a mixed approach, with quantitative analysis of shipping statistics and vehicle volume, as well as qualitative analysis through in-depth interviews with stakeholders. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and thematic analysis. The results of the study show that Ro-Ro ships have advantages in loading and unloading efficiency and travel time, especially on congested routes such as Merak-Bakauheni and Ketapang-Gilimanuk. However, there are major challenges in the aspects of port infrastructure, licensing regulations, and digitization of public services. This study recommends investment in port infrastructure, bureaucratic simplification, and the development of strategic routes and digital information systems to support the optimization of Ro-Ro ships as an efficient and sustainable mode of maritime transportation in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study investigates the monetary transmission mechanisms influencing inflation and exchange rates across seven Southeast Asian countries (Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam) over the period 2010–2023, with special focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research addresses the problem of macroeconomic instability, particularly the volatility in inflation and currency values during crisis periods, and aims to identify the dominant monetary factors affecting these indicators. The study employs a mixed quantitative approach using Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR), Panel Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL), and Paired Sample t-Test to analyze the short-term and long-term relationships among key variables: Gross Domestic Product (GDP), investment, money supply (M2), interest rates, inflation, and exchange rates. Findings reveal that GDP is the most influential factor impacting both inflation and exchange rates, followed by money supply and interest rates. The variance decomposition analysis confirms that these monetary variables significantly explain macroeconomic fluctuations in both pre- and post-pandemic contexts. The t-Test further indicates statistically significant changes in inflation and exchange rates before and after the pandemic, highlighting the disruptive effect of COVID-19 on economic stability. The results demonstrate that inflation declined significantly in most countries during the pandemic, while exchange rate behavior varied depending on economic resilience and policy responsiveness. The study concludes that maintaining macroeconomic stability requires not only monetary policy coordination but also effective public health crisis management. This research contributes to the regional policy discourse by offering empirical insights and evidence-based recommendations to strengthen economic resilience in Southeast Asia.
