Jurnal Pendidikan Agama dan Teologi; e-ISSN : 2986-3112, p-ISSN : 2986-3279 adalah jurnal yang ditujukan untuk publikasi artikel ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh International Forum of Researchers and Lecturers. Artikel yang dimuat adalah adalah artikel yang bertemakan pendidikan agama, katekese, pastoral, teologi dan merupakan hasil penelitian atau studi pustaka, terutama dari para dosen, alumni dan mahasiswa baik dari lingkungan kampus maupun dari luar kampus. <![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the Timor Leste conflict from various conflict theory perspectives. By understanding the motives and dynamics underlying the conflict, it is expected to provide deeper insight into the causes and consequences of the Indonesian invasion and its impact on the Timorese people. This study uses a library method with the intention of collecting and analyzing information from various written sources related to theories of international relations and the dynamics of social conflict, starting with topic identification, literature collection, and ending with analysis and synthesis of information to find patterns and relationships between theories and phenomena studied. The results of the study show that the Timor Leste conflict from the Republic of Indonesia between 1975 and 1999 can be analyzed through various conflict theory perspectives, including Realism, Constructivism, and Marxism Theory. Realism Theory helps explain the Indonesian military invasion as an effort to defend national interests, while Constructivism Theory highlights the role of identity and norms in the struggle for independence of the Timorese people. On the other hand, Marxist Theory reveals that economic injustice and social class differences play an important role in triggering conflict. By understanding these three theories, this research provides deeper insights into the causes and dynamics of conflict, and identifies steps that can be taken to achieve a just and sustainable resolution.]]>

<![CDATA[The phenomenon of throning, which refers to the practice of seeking partners with high social status to enhance self-image, is increasingly prevalent among Generation Z. Although it may seem appealing, throning poses negative issues such as unrealistic expectations, a transactional view of relationships, and the potential for unhappiness that impacts individuals' mental health. This article aims to critically analyze throning behavior from the perspective of Christian Religious Education, emphasizing the importance of spiritual values in building healthy relationships. The research method employed is qualitative, using a literature review approach that involves analyzing written sources related to throning and Christian Religious Education. The findings indicate that throning contradicts the pursuit of a life partner, as well as the principles of love and respect for the intrinsic value of individuals taught in the Bible. The study concludes by affirming the need for a holistic approach to understanding relationships, grounded in spiritual values rather than social status. Recommendations for future research include more in-depth empirical studies on the impact of throning on mental health and interpersonal relationships, as well as a deeper exploration of Biblical knowledge, which highlights the importance of moral and spiritual values in relationship contexts, even in the digital age. It is hoped that individuals can build more authentic relationships through the lens of the Bible and glorify God.]]>

<![CDATA[This research examines the relationship between Christian ethics, children's human rights, and parental responsibilities in the context of Christian families. Referring to ethical principles ethical principles derived from the Bible, this study highlights the importance of recognising children's children's rights as a mandate from God that must be protected and honoured by parents. Through a theological approach, this article explores how parents can fulfil their responsibilities in educating and raising children with love, justice and integrity. It also examines the challenges faced by Christian families in implementing Christian ethical values in the midst of changing social dynamics. By emphasising the importance of moral and spiritual education, this article aims to provide guidance for parents in fulfilling children's rights and creating a family environment that supports the growth of character in accordance with the teachings of Christ. <![CDATA[Sola fide is the main Reformed teaching that salvation is only obtained through faith alone, not through charity or good deeds. in the 16th century the practice of indulgences and the Catholic church's emphasis on good works gave rise to doubts in the faith, which later gave rise to the Reform Movement. In response, the reformers restored the principle of sola fide to protect believers in the Lord Jesus from doubts about their Faith. The aim of this research is to analyze the role of sola fide in strengthening believers' faith before reform skepticism, through a literature review of the writings of reformer figures. The results show that emphasizing God's sovereign grace, the sufficiency of faith for forgiveness of sins and assurance of salvation, and sola fide can strengthen believers' faith against attacks of skepticism. This understanding provides important insight for believers today about how to strengthen their faith in the face of increasing skepticism. Overall, this research shows the central role of the principle of sola fide in the history of Christian thought.]]>

<![CDATA[The spirituality of shepherding (Satua Niha Keriso) plays a crucial role in shaping spiritual leadership within the congregation. This article examines the concept of shepherding from a New Testament perspective and its implications for church development. Using a qualitative approach based on biblical and theological studies, this research highlights Christ’s example as the Good Shepherd and its application in church ministry. The findings indicate that the spirituality of shepherding is not only related to teaching and faith nurturing but also reflects love, humility, and responsibility in building a spiritually healthy community. These findings emphasize that church leaders must embody the values of true shepherding in nurturing, guiding, and serving their congregation with integrity. Thus, the spirituality of shepherding contributes to strengthening faith and fostering church growth in the contemporary context.]]>

<![CDATA[The development of Christology in the first century, from up to the 5th century, shows how the Church formulated the true teachings of Jesus Christ on different theological agendas in the middle. This struggle not only strengthened the understanding of Christ's identity, but also served as a basis for Christian faith in understanding the operation of salvation. <![CDATA[The increasing prevalence of occult practices within Indonesian society, including among church congregations, from a biblical theological perspective. The study employs a qualitative method, analyzing both Old and New Testament scriptures and conducting interviews with church members and leaders. Findings reveal that occultism-defined as beliefs and practices related to supernatural powers-has existed since ancient times and continues to evolve in modern society. The Bible strictly prohibits all forms of occultism, considering them abominations before God and detrimental to spiritual life. Involvement in occult practices leads to spiritual decline, disrupted relationships with God, and various spiritual and social problems. This article highlights the crucial role of the church in providing sound theological understanding and practical solutions to protect congregations from the influence of occultism.]]>

<![CDATA[The digital era presents both challenges and opportunities for local church ministry. Sustainable leadership strategies must be wisely prepared by church leaders—remaining firmly rooted in the Word of God while effectively adapting to technological advancements. This paper aims to outline a process that can be implemented by churches in general, based on the author’s experience in a local church in Jakarta and insights from relevant literature. The five key processes include: (1) Transformation of Leadership Paradigms, (2) Identification and Recruitment of Potential Leaders, (3) Development and Discipleship of Future Leaders, (4) Exemplary Leadership Character, and (5) Implementation of Mentoring and Apprenticeship. Through these processes, it is expected that all church leadership components will be able to participate more effectively in ministry (1 Timothy 1:12), with a leadership model that aligns with the needs of times.]]>

<![CDATA[This study examines the role of the church in dealing with political dynamics in Indonesia, especially in the context of colonial and post-independence history. Indonesia is a country with historical and cultural uniqueness, including in terms of religious diversity that grew amidst the dominance of colonial powers. Although Islam developed rapidly under the Christian Dutch colonialism, the spread of Christianity continued significantly, especially through Portuguese Catholic missions and non-Dutch Protestant mission organizations. The role of the church in Indonesian history shows the tension between political authority and the autonomy of religious institutions, where the church often fell victim to colonial political control but survived and developed through social, educational, and public service roles. This study highlights how the church continues to have relevance and influence in the context of modern nationality and politics, despite facing historical and structural challenges. Through a historical-critical approach, this study seeks to uncover the dynamics of the church's role in the trajectory of Indonesian politics and its contribution to building a just and plural society.]]>
