<![CDATA[Christian religious education plays an important role in shaping the faith and character of students so that they grow like Christ. However, an approach that overemphasizes the cognitive aspect often prevents students from experiencing faith in its entirety in everyday life. Theological reflection is present as an approach that can bridge the gap between life experiences and understanding of Christian faith. Killen and de Beer offer a practical method of theological reflection, emphasizing awareness of experience, the meaning of values, and interpretation based on sources of faith. Meanwhile, Whitehead emphasizes the dynamics between tradition, personal experience, and culture in shaping theological understanding. Both approaches make significant contributions to Christian religious education because they encourage students to not only know the teachings of faith, but also to live them in the context of real life. Thus, theological reflection can be a transformative method in Christian religious education, strengthening students' involvement in a meaningful and relevant faith learning process.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to provide a new understanding for people who are interested in the parousia of Christ as the resurrection of man. The location of this study was at the GKPI Jemaat Khusus Pandumaan, and used a mixed method, namely quantitative, distributing questionnaires to randomly selected respondents, and qualitative, interviewing people who were considered qualified by the researcher. It is interesting that the congregation of the GKPI Jemaat Khusus Pandumaan believes that the parousia of Christ will occur but they do not understand what its function is for them, both between the relationship between the parousia of Christ and the resurrection of man from the dead in the future. Referring to a conclusion, the Parousia of Christ is a resurrection for man because after man dies the flesh and spirit are separated and then the spirit stops until the parousia takes place, then the dead man is resurrected. So to every local church, especially the pastor who functions as the leader of the church, to study this teaching more deeply so that church members know the meaning and purpose of the parousia of Christ.]]>

<![CDATA[This article discusses the meaning of marriage as a holy covenant from the perspective of the New Testament, particularly for Christian couples who have not been blessed with children. This study employs a qualitative method through literature review of the Bible, theological books, and relevant scientific sources. The findings show that, in Christian teaching, the value of marriage is not solely determined by the presence of children, but rather by unity, love, and commitment centered on Christ. Marriage is seen as a reflection of the relationship between Christ and His church, requiring faithfulness and perseverance in facing life’s challenges, including the struggle of childlessness. New Testament theological principles provide comfort and strength for couples to remain faithful in marriage, and emphasize the importance of building a family that reflects God’s love and truth, regardless of having children.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to determine the significant positive influence of the role-playing learning model on the learning engagement of Christian Religious Education and Character Education among eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 academic year. The method used in this study is quantitative research, and the type of research is a pre-experimental design in the form of a "one group pretest-posttest." The population consists of all eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 academic year who are Protestant Christians, totaling 265 students across 8 classes, with a sample size of 30 students selected from class XI-C using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a closed positive questionnaire consisting of 30 items. The results of the data analysis indicate that there is a significant positive influence of the role-playing learning model on the learning engagement of Christian Religious Education and Character Education among eleventh-grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the 2024/2025 academic year. 1) Test requirements analysis: a) the test for the expected relationship is proven with a significant test resulting in thitung > ttabel (α=0.05; dk=n-1=29) which is 9.381 > 2.042 thus indicating a significant effect between variable X and variable Y. b) correlation test results in rxy = 0.845 > rtabel (α = 0.05; ik = 95%; n = 30) which is 0.361. c) regression determination coefficient test (r2) = 71.4%. 2) Effect test: regression equation test results in the regression equation Y = 73.40 + 0.15X. Therefore, H0 is rejected and Ha, which states that there is a positive and significant effect of the role-playing learning model on the learning activity of Christian Religious Education and Moral Education for XI grade students at SMA N 1 Sipoholon in the Academic Year 2024/2025, is accepted]]>

<![CDATA[This research examines the crucial role of the Holy Spirit in the spiritual growth and ministry of contemporary Christians, considering that many have not actively experienced His involvement, resulting in low spiritual quality. Its objective is to re-examine the Holy Spirit's influence for a clearer understanding. Employing a qualitative library research method with textual analysis of the Bible and theological literature (hermeneutics), this study finds that the Holy Spirit is a divine person actively guiding, transforming character, and serving as Creator, Reconciler, and Redeemer. The Pentecost event demonstrates initial empowerment. Spiritual gifts are an expression of His role, which, though debated, function to equip ministry, strengthen community, and facilitate evangelism. The Holy Spirit is also a source of character transformation and empowerment for mission. Baptism in the Holy Spirit becomes a moment of life change and sanctification. The implication is that a clear understanding and open attitude towards the Holy Spirit are essential for unity, church growth, and glorifying Christ.]]>

<![CDATA[The sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two main sacraments in the Christian tradition, both carrying profound theological and spiritual significance. A sacrament contains two essential elements: an outward sign (such as water, bread, and wine) and a spiritual reality (namely, the grace of God given through the sign). A sacrament is not merely a symbol, but a means of communion with Christ that strengthens faith and bears witness to God’s grace. In Christian theology, a sacrament is broadly defined as a rite or religious ceremony performed to symbolize or help bring about a transformation in the lives of those who participate in it. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is one of the key sacraments in the Christian tradition, symbolizing the fellowship of believers with Christ through the shared consumption of bread and wine. Its meaning is profound, as it is not only a remembrance of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross, but also an expression of faith and a deep reflection on the saving love of God. The Lord’s Supper also contains an eschatological meaning, pointing believers toward the future. In each celebration of the Lord’s Supper, the people of Christ anticipate the heavenly banquet at the end of the age. ]]>

<![CDATA[This article examines the importance of understanding and applying church discipline in the life of today’s congregation based on biblical principles. Church discipline is not merely seen as a form of punishment but as a means of God's grace to bring about restoration, spiritual growth, and order within the body of Christ. Through the study of Scripture and theological reflection, this paper explains that discipline is an expression of God’s love aimed at guiding His people toward repentance and truth. In practice, discipline must be carried out with love, patience, and wisdom, thus reflecting the character of Christ rather than serving merely as a corrective measure. The article also highlights the challenges of applying church discipline in the context of a modern culture that tends to reject authority and correction. Nevertheless, the author asserts that discipline remains relevant and essential as a means of preserving the holiness of the church and its witness to the world. The conclusion of this discussion shows that church discipline, when properly implemented, has a positive impact on both individuals and the faith community as a whole.]]>

<![CDATA[The church is the Body of Christ that carries out God’s vision and mission in the world to bring many lost souls. Often the church is confused when it has to determine its attitude towards people who sin. One extreme attitude is to just let someone fall into sin because they are afraid of offending that person. Another extreme attitude is to hate sin so much that they also hate the person who does it. Discipline in the church is a major oversight in some churches today. The church also often misunderstands the meaning of church discipline and misimplements it to the congregation. The church misunderstands that church discipline is a form of punishment given not as a warning or reprimand to regret mistakes and return to the right path. From the title of this article, the author describes the results of the discussion using the Qualitative method through a literature research study sourced from scientific papers in the form of journals and related articles that produce several discussions including: the definition and purpose of church discipline, forms of church discipline, challenges in implementing church discipline, and the last is how church discipline can build a spiritually and socially healthy congregation community. The discussion of this article is described by the author to the readers so that they can increase their insight and even teach and encourage the church to always be firm in disciplining congregations who commit sins based on the truth of God’s word.]]>

<![CDATA[Contemporary Christian leadership encounters complex challenges when integrating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. Limited understanding of obedience as a leadership foundation results in weakened spiritual development and integrity in ministry. This research employs a qualitative approach through comprehensive literature review, analyzing diverse theological literature, scientific journals, and academic sources discussing Christian leadership and obedience principles. The study reveals the concept of "Obedience Before Greatness" as a leadership paradigm positioning submission to God as a prerequisite for greatness, contrasting conventional leadership approaches that prioritize external achievements. Findings demonstrate that authentic and sustainable Christian leadership grows from obedience to God rather than personal ambition. Submission shapes character and integrity, producing leaders who serve with humility for God's glory.]]>
