Abstract

 Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable chronic disease. DM disrupts the body's metabolism which is characterized by chronic hyperglycemic conditions with disorders of fat, carbohydrate and protein metabolism. DM is classified into two, namely type 1 and type 2. Most DM sufferers are classified as type 2. Type 2 DM sufferers need to undergo routine medical treatment such as taking medication regularly. Type 2 DM sufferers also need to carry out a series of other health maintenance activities and manage stress more adaptively so as not to worsen their DM condition. So far, most treatments for type 2 DM still focus on medical treatment such as taking medication. In fact, type 2 DM can also be worsened by depressed/stressful psychological conditions. Some type 2 DM sufferers experience stress, especially sufferers who are female and in the middle adulthood age category. This research uses a qualitative approach by conducting a case study on middle-aged women suffering from type 2 DM. The results of the research show that the psychological dynamics of DM sufferers can influence their disease. The dynamics of DM include views about the disease and its treatment, cognitive assessments and the emotions felt due to the disease suffered, as well as the pressure/stress felt.

Abstract

The Indonesian government is currently encouraging the development of entrepreneurship among the millennial generation. The country is experiencing a demographic bonus with 60% of the population in the age range of 15-64 years. Self-confidence is identified as a factor that influences entrepreneurship. the total population that is the focus of the study is 14,136 millennial entrepreneurship in Depok City. Sampling was conducted randomly using the random sampling method using the Slovin calculation, and a tolerable error rate of 5%. As a result, the number of respondents involved in this study was 390 entrepreneurs from the millennial generation. In the data analysis test stage, a description test, assumption test, and hypothesis testing were carried out. The normality test results show that the data distribution is normal, and the linearity test confirms that the data is linear. The t-test shows that partially, self confidence has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurship. The f test, which is conducted simultaneously, shows that the self confidence variable significantly affects the entrepreneurship variable. In the simple linear regression analysis, it was found that the significance value of the coefficient is 0.05%, which means that self confidence has a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurship. The coefficient of determination of 34% indicates that self confidence contributes 34% to entrepreneurship. Thus, based on the results of data analysis and data processing, it can be concluded that the hypothesis in this study is accepted.

Abstract

 The problem that most often arises in various environmental issues is people's lack of concern for cleanliness, environmental care and conservation. This indifference originates from his perception when faced with this distressing situation. People who do not care will perceive that the situation is bad but can still be tolerated. Therefore the behavior is not to just leave the situation. However, when an individual perceives that the situation is extremely bad, he or she becomes stress. This unacceptable situation motivates him or her to cope it. When successful in coping stress, the individual is free from stress. On another occasion, if the individual finds a situation that is just as bad, he or she will repeat the behavior that was successful in overcoming the bad situation. On the other hand, when an individual feels unable to cope with stress, he will still feel stressed when faced with a similar bad situation. Stressful behavior may include getting angry, slamming things, setting fires, throwing bombs, and so on. It is hoped that this perception process can provide input for policy makers and stakeholders so that the bad situation facing society can be overcome.

Abstract

This research discusses the role and influence of leadership in daily operations in the culinary industry, with a focus on Padang Djuang restaurants. In this context, leadership is considered a key factor influencing service quality, customer satisfaction and overall performance. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. This research aims to identify the role of leadership and understand the concept of leadership in the context of the culinary industry, especially Padang Djuang restaurants. The results of the analysis show that the dominant leadership style in Padang Djuang restaurants is participative leadership, where restaurant owners and employees apply a democratic approach in decision making. This is reflected in the active involvement of employees in the strategic decision-making process, which strengthens the relationship between leaders and team members and creates an open and transparent work atmosphere. In addition, the use of a task-oriented leadership style is also found in the clear division of roles and responsibilities among employees, creating a structured and efficient organizational structure. Despite this, leaders still maintain their authority by providing clear direction and ensuring that all decisions are in line with the company's vision and goals. From the results of this research, understanding and applying effective leadership principles is very important for the operational success of Padang Djuang restaurants. The resulting recommendations include the importance of strengthening a participative culture in leadership, improving communication and collaboration between owners, managers and employees, and considering market needs and desires in strategic decision making. By paying attention to the findings and recommendations from this research, it is hoped that Padang Djuang restaurants can continue to develop and maintain their position as one of the leading culinary destinations in Indonesia.

Abstract

At the age of adolescence, individuals have several developmental tasks, one of which is the ability to accept physical conditions and be able to use their bodies effectively. This study aims to determine the body image of young women who take courses at X Modeling. This study used qualitative research methods. Collecting data in this study using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study were three young women aged 15-18 years who attended a course at X Modeling. The results of the research conducted showed that the three subjects had a positive body image based on aspects of body image and body image factors. Aspects of body image include appearance evaluation, appearance orientation, body area satisfaction, overweight preoccupation, body size categorization. Body image factors include mass media, family and interpersonal relationships.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between smartphone addiction and employee work concentration. The research subjects were employees of the magazine publishing section at CV. Andi Offset Yogyakarta. The research method uses quantitative methods. The data collection method uses scales, namely the smartphone addiction scale and the work concentration scale. Data analysis method using product moment correlation analysis techniques. The research results show that the coefficient value is rxy= 0.097, the significance is 0.612 or above the significance of 0.05. This shows there is no corelation between smartphone addiction and work concentration. The influence of addiction to smartphones has an impact on work concentration of only 0.9% (r2 = 0.009). This value is very small, because almost 100% of work concentration disorders are influenced by other variables. The research results can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between smartphone addiction and employee work concentration.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the relationship between emotional intelligence and juvenile delinquency in Vocational High School 1 Samigaluh students. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a negative relationship between emotional intelligence and adolescent behavior. Subjects in this study were 50 people aged between 15 and 18. The data gathering tools used are the emotional intelligence adaptation scale compiled by Fitri Eka Wardani (2012) and the adolescent behavior scale composed by Elliot and Ageton. (1980). The data analysis techniques used are simple regression analysis techniques. The results of this study resulted in a regression coefficient value of -433, which means emotional intelligence has a negative impact on adolescent behavior. This means that the higher the level of emotional intelligence, will make the lower of juvenile delinquency.
