Abstract

The design of a WordPress-based news portal management information system at the Indonesian Audit Board (BPK) of the Riau Islands Representative Office aims to improve efficiency and effectiveness in delivering information to the public. This news portal is designed to provide the latest information related to the activities, reports, and official announcements of the BPK Riau Islands quickly and accurately. The methodology used in designing this system includes needs analysis, system planning, user interface design, implementation using the WordPress platform, and system testing. WordPress was chosen because of its flexible nature, ease of use, and support for various additional features through plugins. This system is designed with key features such as dynamic content management, integration with social media, and structured user management. The results of this study are a news portal that is responsive, user-friendly, and can be accessed through various devices. This portal is expected to be an effective communication media that supports the transparency and accountability of the BPK Riau Islands in providing information to the public.

Abstract

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) of the Riau Islands Province Representative Office has a mission to maintain the integrity of the state budget and encourage transparency in public financial management. However, the BPK of the Riau Islands faces challenges in managing archives that still use a manual system. This process is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to loss, damage, and human error. To overcome this problem, a dashboard is needed as an archiving tool that can improve efficiency and security in archive management. This dashboard allows staff to record, archive, and retrieve data quickly, organized, and securely. Additional features such as data filtering, periodic reporting, and access control settings will strengthen the system in maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive data. The implementation of this technology is not only a technical solution, but also a strategic step towards modernizing the administrative system of the BPK Representative Office of the Riau Islands Province. Investment in the development of this dashboard is expected to increase work efficiency, minimize the risk of data loss, and provide long-term benefits for all parties involved in archive management, while supporting the achievement of transparent and accountable financial governance.

Abstract

The development of information technology has made it easier to manage data, including inventory systems. Sahabat Bakery, a business that operates in the business of selling bread, snacks, brownies, pudding and mineral water, still uses manual recording in managing incoming and outgoing goods, which causes difficulties in searching for data and increases the risk of recording errors. Therefore, a website-based inventory information system is needed that can simplify the data collection process and increase operational efficiency. This research aims to design, test and implement an inventory information system at Sahabat Bakery. The methods used are the waterfall method and Unified Modeling Language modeling. The system designed is expected to simplify stock management of raw materials and finished products, as well as increase operational efficiency. Next, testing is carried out to ensure the system functions properly, before full implementation is carried out at Sahabat Bakery to support the smooth running of business activities. The result of this research is an inventory information system designed to help record stock, search for data more quickly, and make it easier to create incoming and outgoing stock reports. The conclusion of this research is that a website-based inventory information system can increase the efficiency of stock management at Sahabat Bakery, reduce recording errors, and speed up access to data. With this system, it is hoped that data management of incoming and outgoing goods can run more optimally and support overall data reporting.

Abstract

A web-based Decision Support System (DSS) for employee performance evaluation has become an increasingly important solution in the modern business world, particularly in enhancing the accuracy, transparency, and efficiency of the performance evaluation process within companies. This internship report provides an in-depth discussion on the design and implementation of a web-based DSS using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method at PTSP BP Batam. The primary objective of developing this system is to provide an objective, structured, and user-friendly tool for assessing employee performance, thereby assisting management in making better decisions regarding employee development, promotions, and placements. The Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method was chosen due to its capability to process both qualitative and quantitative data in an integrated manner, as well as its ease in assigning weights and values to various assessment criteria.In this context, the system is designed to evaluate employee performance based on several predefined criteria, such as productivity, discipline, attendance, teamwork ability, and initiative. Each criterion is assigned a weight according to its level of importance in performance evaluation, ensuring that the final results produced by the system accurately and fairly reflect employee performance. This system is developed utilizing the latest technology, including the Laravel framework, which is well-known for its ability to build scalable and easily manageable web applications. Additionally, a MySQL database is used to store employee data, assessment criteria, and evaluation results, while the PHP programming language is employed to develop business logic and the user interface. This combination of technologies ensures that the system operates smoothly, securely, and efficiently

Abstract

Inventory management in government agencies such as the Riau Islands Police is an important aspect to ensure effective and efficient asset recording and monitoring. Manual management often faces obstacles such as recording errors and potential asset loss. Therefore, a technology-based information system is needed that can improve efficiency and transparency. This study aims to design a Laravel-based inventory information system in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Sector of the Riau Islands Police. This system allows users to manage inventory digitally, including asset recording, borrowing, returning, and monitoring status in real time. The system development uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method which accelerates the development process with an iterative approach. The results of the study show that the designed system is able to improve the efficiency of asset recording and monitoring, minimize data errors, and simplify the inventory audit and reporting process. With this system, it is expected to support the digitalization of administration in the Riau Islands Police environment and increase accountability in the management of technology assets.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way educational institutions promote their services. The SD Kartini II Batam Library faces challenges in attracting students' interest in making optimal use of library facilities. Conventional promotional media such as brochures and announcements are less effective in attracting students' attention. Therefore, this research aims to design a motion graphic-based library company profile as a more attractive and interactive promotional media. This research uses the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method which consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution. The result of this research is a motion graphic video with a maximum duration of three minutes that displays information about the library profile, facilities, book collections and superior programs available. Tests using the Black Box Testing method show that this media works as expected and is effective in conveying information. With this motion graphic-based promotional media, it is hoped that students will be more interested in visiting the library, increase their interest in reading, and utilize the available facilities. Apart from that, this media can also be used by schools as a more modern and flexible promotional tool.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology demands that every organization have an information system that supports the management and execution of activities, including in the field of archiving. The Batam Center for Health Quarantine (BBKK) still uses a manual letter archiving system, which has the potential to hinder efficiency, reduce accuracy, and slow down the process of searching and managing archives. This manual process can cause difficulties in finding necessary documents, increase the risk of data loss, and hinder employee work effectiveness. Additionally, the manual system also makes it difficult to monitor letter status, categorize documents, and share information between work units in real-time and efficiently. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Letter Archiving Information System as a solution to the existing problems. By applying the Waterfall method in software development and using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling, this system is expected to improve accessibility, efficiency, and accuracy in the archiving process. Moreover, the system will be equipped with quick search features, letter status notifications, and role-based access control as predefined. The proposed system will facilitate the storage, retrieval, and maintenance of letter archives at BBKK Batam, thereby supporting the smooth administration and operational processes of the organization. With this system, it is expected that archive management will become more modern, structured, and integrated with the overall organizational needs.

Abstract

The development of information technology has driven the use of multimedia as a more interactive and engaging means of communication. The Hazardous and Toxic Waste Management Area (KPLI-B3) in Kabil, as a central industrial waste processing facility in Batam, faces challenges in providing centralized and easily accessible information media. The lack of an interactive platform for introducing waste management companies has led to difficulties for industries in Batam in selecting appropriate waste disposal facilities, which may result in environmental pollution. This study aims to design a multimedia-based information system for introducing waste management companies in KPLI-B3 Kabil using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. The MDLC method consists of six stages: concept, design, material collection, assembly, testing, and distribution & implementation. Data for this study were obtained through observations, interviews with KPLI-B3 Kabil staff, and literature studies related to waste management and multimedia applications. The result of this study is a prototype of an Android-based multimedia application that provides information about waste management companies operating in KPLI-B3 Kabil. This application is designed to facilitate access to information regarding waste categories, registered companies, and the location of waste processing facilities. Testing was conducted using the black-box testing method to ensure that the application functions as intended. The study concludes that the implementation of interactive multimedia in introducing waste management companies can enhance the efficiency of information dissemination and assist industries in Batam in selecting suitable waste management partners. Further development could include more advanced interactive features and integration with a digital waste management system.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged various agencies and companies to have web-based information systems to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information delivery. This research aims to design and build a web-based public service information system in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), which can provide information more effectively to the public and support company transparency. The approach used in this research is waterfall, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. This system is designed using web framework-based technology with database support for structured data management. The result of this research is an information system that is able to display company information interactively, including company profiles, services offered, and related news and announcements. Based on the test results, this system can increase the accessibility of information for users, accelerate the process of disseminating information, and provide convenience in managing company profile content. With this system, it is expected that companies in the ICT sector can be more optimal in presenting information to their customers and business partners in a professional and transparent manner.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has provided convenience in various aspects of life, including the management of activity agendas within organizations or companies. The Batam Center for Health Quarantine currently manages activity agendas manually using Canva, which is inefficient in terms of time, accuracy, and data management. This manual process often leads to delays in recording and delivering information, as well as difficulties in retrieving historical agenda data of the leadership. Therefore, a web-based information system is needed to facilitate the management of leadership activity agendas more effectively, structurally, and integratively. This research aims to design and develop a Leadership Activity Agenda Information System at the Batam Center for Health Quarantine using the Waterfall method. This method consists of several stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The system is expected to improve efficiency in planning, monitoring, and managing activity agendas, enabling leaders to access information more quickly and accurately. The research results indicate that the designed information system can assist in managing leadership activity agendas more effectively compared to the previous manual method. With this system, the administration of activity agendas at the Batam Center for Health Quarantine can run more optimally, support overall organizational performance, increase transparency, and accelerate strategic decision-making processes.
