Abstract

Paving block banyak digunakan dalam bidang konstruksi, seperti pavement, jalan raya dan juga lahan perparkiran perumahan. Kemudahan dalam pemasangan, perawatan yang murah serta memenuhi aspek keindahan menyebabkan paving block banyak disukai. Banyak pembuatan paving block belum optimal dari sisi kekuatan, dibuat dalam skala kecil sebagai produk home industri / industri rumahan. Dari hasil pengujian dengan ketebalan 7 cm untuk keua jenis jenis type Paving Block yang paling besar kuat tekannya adalah type hollad block, dengan variasi campuran 1:2 = 459,63 kg/cm2, σ=459,63 kg/cm2, camp.1:3 = 397,01 kg/cm2, σ = 397,01 kg/cm2; camp.1:4=196,88 kg/cm2, σ= 196,88 kg/cm2; camp.1:5 = 156,38 kg/cm2 , σ= 156,38 kg/cm2. Penggunaannya untuk perkerasan jalan, Paving Block bagus digunakan pada campuran 1:2 dan 1:3.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) has initiated a fundamental transformation in the field of engineering through the integration of advanced digital technologies such as cyber-physical systems (CPS), the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics. This study aims to examine the development of engineering technology in the Industry 4.0 era using a literature review approach. By analyzing relevant academic sources published between 2015 and 2025, the research identifies key technological trends, the impact on engineering education, the challenges of industrial adoption, and opportunities for sustainability and innovation.The results show that Industry 4.0 technologies have enhanced the adaptability, efficiency, and intelligence of engineering systems. However, their implementation poses significant challenges, including high costs, skills gaps, and cybersecurity risks. The study also highlights the need to reform engineering education to prepare a future-ready workforce equipped with interdisciplinary competencies. Ultimately, the findings underline the importance of collaboration among educational institutions, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to ensure the successful advancement of engineering in a digital and sustainable future.

Abstract

This literature review explores the advancements in renewable energy technologies within the field of electrical engineering, driven by the increasing demand for sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solutions. Employing a qualitative literature review approach, the study examines scholarly sources from 2015 to 2024 to identify key technical innovations in energy storage systems, power electronics, smart grid integration, and the application of artificial intelligence in energy management. The findings reveal significant improvements in inverter design, battery energy storage systems, and the adoption of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), all contributing to enhanced reliability, efficiency, and flexibility of renewable energy systems. Despite these advancements, challenges such as grid synchronization, power fluctuations, and system integration persist, requiring adaptive and innovative engineering solutions. This review highlights the vital role of electrical engineering in accelerating the global energy transition through an interdisciplinary approach that bridges theoretical foundations with technological applications.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis stabilitas dinding penahan tanah (DPT) pada proyek pematangan lahan PLN 150 KV PT. Indorama Synthetics Tbk. di Purwakarta menggunakan pendekatan kombinasi kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Metode penelitian meliputi pengujian Standard Penetration Test (SPT) di 9 titik bor, observasi lapangan, dan analisis laboratorium terhadap parameter tanah, serta pemodelan numerik dengan PLAXIS 8.5. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain DPT memenuhi kriteria stabilitas dengan faktor keamanan (FK) untuk kondisi operasional (FK guling = 9.59, FK geser = 2.76) dan gempa (FK global = 1.14). Sistem drainase yang dirancang efektif mengontrol tekanan air pori pada tanah Sandy Silty Clay berplastisitas tinggi (PI 37.62-49.72%). Validasi melalui triangulasi data lapangan, perhitungan manual (Rankine/Coulomb), dan simulasi PLAXIS memperkuat reliabilitas hasil. Studi ini merekomendasikan pemantauan rutin dengan piezometer dan pengembangan model 3D untuk analisis lebih komprehensif.

Abstract

Dental caries remains one of the most prevalent oral health problems worldwide, requiring early and accurate detection to prevent extensive damage and reduce treatment costs. Recent advances in artificial intelligence particularly deep learning have led to significant improvements in diagnostic accuracy and consistency compared to traditional visual or radiographic assessments. This systematic literature review evaluates the development of deep learning techniques for dental caries detection based on studies published between 2020 and 2024. Following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, six eligible studies were identified from Scopus, PubMed, IEEE Xplore, and ScienceDirect databases. The review synthesizes findings related to model architectures, imaging modalities, dataset characteristics, and performance metrics. The results show that models such as CNN, YOLO, U-Net, and EfficientNet consistently demonstrate high accuracy in identifying carious lesions, with bitewing and panoramic radiographs producing the most reliable diagnostic outcomes. However, limitations remain, including dataset variability, limited sample sizes, and reduced sensitivity for early-stage lesions. This review highlights current progress, methodological challenges, and potential research opportunities, emphasizing the need for standardized datasets, improved clinical validation, and stronger multidisciplinary collaboration to support the integration of deep learning into dental diagnostic workflows.

Abstract

Penggunaan batubara sebagai bahan bakar PLTU menghasilkan abu terbang (fly ash) dan juga abu endapan (bottom ash). Fly ash mengandung logam berat Kobalt (Co) dan juga Vanadium (V) yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai campuran beton sebagai bahan pengganti semen dengan solidifikasi. Hasil solidifikasi logam berat Co yang terbesar terdapat pada substitusi fly ash 40 % pada rendaman hari ke-7 dengan jumlah konsentrasi sebesar 2 ppb (part per billion) = 0,0020 ppm, sedangkan pada logam berat V yang terbesar terdapat pada substitusi fly ash 80 % pada rendaman ke-28 dengan jumlah konsentrasi sebesar 47 ppb (part per billion) = 0,0470 ppm, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua logam berat tersebut masih dalam ambang batas yang ditetapkan

Abstract

Pengelolaan arsip data yang masih dilakukan secara manual atau tidak terintegrasi dapat menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti keterlambatan pencarian dokumen, duplikasi data, dan rendahnya efisiensi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun dashboard manajemen arsip data berbasis web menggunakan metode Extreme Programming (XP) dengan studi kasus pada PT X. Metode XP dipilih karena menekankan pengembangan iteratif, kolaborasi dengan pengguna, serta kemampuan beradaptasi terhadap perubahan kebutuhan sistem. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan melalui beberapa iterasi yang mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, dan pengujian fungsional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem yang dikembangkan mampu mengelola arsip data secara terpusat, menyediakan fitur pencarian dan pelaporan, serta menampilkan informasi arsip secara real-time melalui dashboard visual. Pengujian fungsional menunjukkan seluruh modul sistem berjalan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna tanpa kesalahan fungsional yang signifikan. Selain itu, hasil evaluasi dan umpan balik pengguna menunjukkan tingkat penerimaan yang tinggi, di mana sistem dinilai mudah digunakan dan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan arsip dibandingkan metode manual sebelumnya. Dengan demikian, sistem yang dikembangkan layak digunakan sebagai solusi manajemen arsip data dan menunjukkan efektivitas penerapan metode Extreme Programming dalam pengembangan sistem informasi berbasis web.

Abstract

DC motors are common in industry due to their simplicity, reliability, and ease of control. However, their speed regulation is sensitive to parameter changes and load disturbances. Variations in parameters like damping coefficients, caused by friction, temperature, and wear, can impair fixed-gain PID controllers. This paper introduces an adaptive fuzzy-PID auto-tuning (AFPAT) scheme to ensure robust speed control amid uncertainties and load disturbances. The controller uses a Sugeno fuzzy system to adjust PID gains online based on speed error (e) and derivative error (de). A second-order DC motor model assesses robustness by varying damping coefficients across five scenarios (4.54 ≤ a1 ≤ 13.62) and a 50 rpm load disturbance at 900 rpm setpoint. Performance measures include steady-state error, overshoot, settling time, and recovery time post-disturbance. Results show the controller achieves zero steady-state error and overshoot with settling times from 2.74 to 4.28 seconds and recovery times from 3.05 to 4.58 seconds. Compared to open-loop, with a steady-state error of 2963, the controller demonstrates robust speed regulation under parameter variations and disturbances.
