Abstract

Coastal Cell is new approach in coastal conservation and rahabilitation. According to this method the shoreline can be devided into several cells based on sediment budget or net sediment transport. The coastal damaged in Tegal and sourronding area mostly influences by human activities, such as coastal structures. The Tegal Coast is apart of Central Java Mega Cell Sediments, therefore to manage it must be integrated withboth side coastals (eastern side and western side). Soft solution approach such as sand by passing is the best approach to rehabilitation the Tegal coast .

Abstract

Industry sector especially small industry sub-sector is one of dominated activities in rural area of Lombok Tengah Regency. From these small industries, industry of ketak, tenun and gerabah have big role and contribution for the economic development in this area. However, recently they are still facing constraints or obstacles mainly in order to improve and develop their production factors such as labor, capital, natural resources/raw material, technology, and marketing. It is needed to make constructive efforts for improving the production factors performance of these three kinds of small industries in order to improve the product competitiveness and the welfare of the industrial agents in Lombok Tengah Regency.

Abstract

Kecamatan Pinang is located in Kota Tangerang. The region has an important role in the regional development, specially for Kota Tangerang and DKI Jakarta. Nowadays the physical development some part of Kecamatan Pinang is very poor and crowded. There are no building development guidelines that guiding the physical development of settlement, commercial actifitives and other infrastructure. These conditions certainly caused many visual as well as economical and social problems. Commercial activities is obstructed, and the environment become unsave and uncomfortable. Concernng those it is necessary to formulate thebuilding development guidelines which is comprised of Building Demarcation Line (GSB), Buliding Coverage Ratio (KDB), Floor Coverage Ratio (KLB), and Building Elevated (TB). It is hope that the building code would create safety, pleasant, productive, and sustainable spatial in Kecamatan Pinang.

Abstract

The local government of South Sumatera Province and their people have desire to become a National Energy Stock (Lumbung Energi Nasional) is realistic. It is supported by the huge potential of energy resources and many kinds of nonrenewable energy (fossil) and renewable energy (nonfossil). Strategic position and basic infrastructure in this region support this plan. To realize this plan is needed direction and policy scenario as a reference in formulating the regional development program in order to support the realization of National Energy Stock. Based on the analysis of the existing strengths and opportunities, seven policies can be formulated to realize the National Energy Stock. Abstract

During 2000-2005 period, Gerbangkertosusila Area (G-12 Area) in East Java Province has been growth rapidly. But, hypothetically, this area fall in diseconomies of scale and competitiveness decreasing at national level. Using the regional diseconomies of scale and regional competitiveness approachs, this paper analyzed the hypothetic of diseconomies of scale and competitiveness decreasing in G-12 Area. The result of analysis show that G-12 Area has been diseconomies of scale and competitiveness decreasing in many macroeconomic indicators, i.e. contribution of gross value added, income per capita, contribution of export, absorption of domestic and foreign investment, quantity of medium and large scale industries, and fiscal capacity.

Abstract

Cooperation development between regencies in Buntago Area (Buntok-Tanjung-Tanah Grogot) has been signed five year ago, but there is no significance realization. The aim of this article is to analyse the opportunities of cooperation in those area by comparison analysis, network and of suply-demand analysis.The result indicated that there are some opportunities to develop economic activities mainly in agricultural sector, services and mining. The result also indicated the opportunties to use high school building and its facilities together, optimizing a port in Tanah Grogot as outlet, and labor management cooperationamong the regencies.

Abstract

Earthquakes happened at 7.6 (February 6th, 2004) and 8.1 (November 26th, 2004) scale of Richter in Nabire Regency had been implicating that risk management of natural disaster are needed to complete the spatial planning arrangement. Thisearthquakes had damaged infrastructures and changed the land use, the spatial structure, and the social activities. This paper describes how the risk management of natural disaster applicated as one of components in spatial planning in order to prevent and minimize the dangerous, and also to minimize the risks and damaged of natural disaster.

Abstract

The problems of labor have influenced of many factors as such global market,regulation and goverment policy. Indicators of labor that a number used up till now were considered have some weakness. The result of this analysis was indicated the presents of sector performance variation and labor change viewed according to economic sectors. The demographic pressure to labor supply can be describe that population grow 1,7 percent per year at 2000-2005 period. Estimated the number higher that population grow of the time 2000-2005 is 1,3 percent per year and 2005-2009 is 1,1 percent per year. Many labor policy can be implemented to development and improve the skill and knowledge. A lot of the labor problems is multidimention properties can be solve by multidimention approaches. A number of external and internal factors of labor were also showed the various effect based on the many sectors. Therefore, to improve capacity of each sector will be needed policy intervention which to take care of the such as variation.

Abstract

Identification process for Basis Sector(s) in a region must be conducted in order to develop the economic development planning. The identification could be conducted through the Location Quotient (LQ) analysis. This paper discuss about LQ analysis toward Mandailing Natal Regency. This regency is part of North Sumatera Province in Indonesia. According to the LQ analysis, the economy of Mandailing Natal Regency depend on the primary sector i.e. Agriculture sector and Mining & Quarrying sector. It means that those sectors are the source of income for Mandailing Natal Regency.
