Abstract

Water pollution problem caused by household waste water in the region of DKI Jakarta, and more made worse by affecting of expanding settlement area in buffer zone around Jakarta which without provided with waste water facilities, so that all waste water thrown to public channel and finally flowing  into river bodies in region of DKI Jakarta.To overcome the mentioned above Government of Province DKI Jakarta have released Regulation of Governor Province Special District Capital of Jakarta Number 122 Year 2005 About Management Of Domestic Water Waste In Province Special District Capital Of Jakarta. According To Regulation Of Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 122 Year 2005 Section 7 express that house building and non house building is obliged to manage domestic waste water before discharge to public channel or drainage. Planning of domestic waste water treatment installation which represent environmental utilities or building represent conditions in course of publication of Permit Directing Of Usage Of Land;Ground (SIPPT), Plan Arrange Situation Building ( RTLB), Permission Found Building (IMB), and awaking up of domestic waste water treatment installation represent conditions in course of publication of Permit of Building Usage (IPB) and Elegibility Use Building (KMB), and also licensing of operational of institution in charge related to such operational.  Kata Kunci : Air limbah domestik, air limbah rumah tangga, pengelolaan.

Abstract

Peak Discharge Dinamyc System (SDDP) is a program which apply to calculate peak of discharge a catchment area with area and rain fall intensity as parameters, with limited to maximal 50 km2 area and 100 mm/hour rain fall intensity. This program is develop by using System Dinamyc Stella version 9.0.2. Steps taken are, first by calculate runoff cooeficient use Bridge-Branch method and then calculate peak discharge with rational method. This program is tested on sub-catcment Makassar, East Jakarta and compare the result of the program with manual calculation, and concluded that no deviation between those 2 methods, and even more the SDDP program provide prediction of peak discharge with variable C value and data of calculation peak discharge with SDDP program presented in graphic and tabulation as well. Key words : Model, Sistem Dinamis, Stella, Banjir, Debit Puncak, Koefisien Aliran, Prediksi, Jakarta Timur

Abstract

Recently, the treatment process of waste water contains organic pollutant which used in Indonesia especially in Jakarta is activated sludge process. The problem is its treated water quality which frequently does not yet fulfilled to effluent standard of wastewater. Some affecting factors  are hydraulic retention time (HRT) too short, the fluctuation of wastewater flow rate, unfavorable function of aeration process and also which do not less important is operational mistake caused by insufficient knowledge of operator. To overcome the mentioned problems it is needed technological innovation to increase efficiency of wastewater treatment process especially activated sludge process. This paper describes the study of domestic waste water treatment  using activated sludge process which is filled with bioball plastic media for attaching microorganism to increase efficiency and  keep stability of process. Result of the study shows that within 6 hours hydraulic retention time (HRT), the removal efficiency of COD, BOD, Ammonia and Total Suspended Solids (TSS) were 78.42%, 79.41%, 61.41%, and 82.06% respectively. The most effective of sludge circulation ratio is R=0,5Q. In sludge circulation ratio R= 0,5Q, the removal efficiency of COD, BOD, organic loading coming into bioreactor, the lower  removal efficiency. In organic loading (BOD loading) 0.3 - 1.0 kgBOD/m3.day, the removal efficiency of BOD was 80 - 85 %.  Kata kunci : Air limbah domestik, lumpur aktif, bioball, aerob.

Abstract

In order to meet water needs during the dry season in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), particularly on small islands in the NTB area needed a facility that can accommodate the rain water in the rainy season, so water supply can be used during the dry season. Characteristics of land in coastal areas in particular, other than flat land also contains sand, so the soil tends to have relatively high permeabilities. To build waterworks facilities suitable to local conditions then, required an assessment of alternative types of water structure adapted to the geological conditions and availability of building materials to be used. Keywords : Karakteristik Tanah, Alternative Bangunan Air

Abstract

Waduk Rio – Rio is an artificial ponds located in East Jakarta. Current condition of the waduk rio - rio is not maintained, its visible from outlet of the ponds foaming indicates pollution. Therefore, monitoring the quality of the ponds which describes the condition of good quality ponds in physics, chemistry, and microbiology. The results of the monitoring and analysis data using the pollution index, it can be seen that the pollution level of Waduk Rio - Rio in the first period (dry season) classified as moderate polluted by pollution index value of 5.542. While in the second period (transitional season), the value of the pollution index at 11.069 and classified as heavy polluted. The pollution sources of Waduk Rio - Rio is domestic wastewater which comes from community activities around the ponds. It can be seen from the high biological parameters such as Fecal Coli and Coliform. In order to reduce the level of pollution in the Waduk Rio - Rio, the domestic wastewater discharged into the ponds needs to be processed first. Abstract

In global industrial era, more than 70% industrial growth especially in Java will centrally around urban region. This matter can increase the environmental pollution as long as the progress of industry and technology development. Central and regional governments have continued to cope with the environmental pollution problem, although many environmental cases difficult to be resolved. This matter caused by the limited ability of observation technology and monitoring which conducted by the relevant institution and also because of the limited existing fund which allocated for the environment management. To increase the ability of environmental quality observation and monitoring technology in this time, we need the role of information and computation technology which can be used to observe and monitor online the source of pollution that resulting the environmental damages. Abstract

Takabonerate  is one of the 23 regencies in South Sulawesi where it is locates at the southern parth of South Sulawesi Province and it is surrounded by flores sea. As maritime regency, its mainland is 1,188.28 km2 (5.23%) and the sea is approximately 21,138.41 km2 (94.68%). It has 126 islands wich consist of small and big islands.  Tarupa village’s   a subdistrict located in a tidy and peat area. The community living in tarupa use surface water of river as the main clean water resource. The surface water is  influenced by the tide of sea water. The surface water taste is very salty (TDS>12000ppm). The use of rain water as the second alternative is very limited, i.e it is only in rainy season. To deal with the chronic problem, such as the lack of clean water supply, it needs an appropriate water treatment technology. The suitable water treatment system is a combination of conventional and advanced technology. Desalination, such as Reverse Osmosis must be involved to reduce salinity of the raw water. A complete process includes the pretreatment and advance treatment. The pretreatment are oxidation and some common filtrations. The advance treatment is a molecular filtration using a membran which the principal is reverse osmosis pressure. If the pilot water treatment plant is avalaible in Tarupa in Takabonerate, the clean water supply will not be a serious problem. Generally, it can also play an important role to increase the social level of community in South Sulawesi.. Kata Kunci : Teknologi, pengolahan, air asin, reverse osmosis, air minum.

Abstract

Principle of zero delta Q policy is that a development should not  increase water discharge to drainage system. Policy of zero delta Q is apply to zone of recharge area and other zone which is not recharge area as well, because this area which is not as recharge area has contribute a great deal to local flood. Based on this therefore implemention of policy of zero delta Q is applied to urban area such as Jakarta. Activities proposed for Jakarta were: 1. Optimize use of water reservoir, pond and site; 2. Implementation of artificial recharge or could be combined with biopore; 3. Effective land use by provide open green areas; and 4. Abstract

   Organic waste water can be treated biolocally by using anaerobic fixed bed reactor. Fixed bed reactor is bioreactor which is compleeted with support material inside reactor for bacteria fixation in the surface area of support material. The benefit of using this kind of technology are it needs low energy, low nutrien, low sludge production and could treat high organic concentraion waste water.   The support material  has important role in the  Fixed Bed reactor performance, therefore it must be mentioned in several factors those are : size & shape of suport material, ratio of surface area and volume which influences the attach of microorganism, porousity is a waste water volume compare to the total volume and material of support material must inert.   According to the benefit and the principle of Fixed Bed reactor, this kind of technology can be used to treat the organic high concentration to reduce the organic pollutant. Kata kunci : anarobic, Fixed Bed.

Abstract

Groundwater is one of the most important for human activities. The effects of land use and population changes in Bekasi area cause the degradation of groundwater quantity and quality. The aquifers potential in Cikarang and its surrounding as a study area are studied using geoelectric method. Geoelectric analysis can be measured the geometry of subsurface aquifer (thickness, depth, distribution, and structural geology). The aquifers in the study area are included of Bekasi Groundwater Basin System. The aquifers contain confined aquifer and unconfined aquifer. The thickness of unconfined aquifers less than 30 m, as lenses and bottom depth less than 40 m below of land surface. The thickness of confined aquifers is variation with maximum 80 m and the bottom depth 20-160 m below of land surface. The degradation of groundwater in Cikarang and its surrounding needs better groundwater management for sustainable development.          Katakunci : potensi airtanah, akuifer, geolistrik, Cikarang
