Air quality changes due to the discharge gas in the vicinity of the location of bursts of mud in Sidoarjo disrupt the activities of people who live around. Concerns of the dangers caused by gas can increase the burden of the problems already experienced by them. Surveys measuring several parameters of gas in the villages around bursts mud needs to be done to provide clear information about the condition of air quality ambien. The measurement data processing and analysis results are expected to be used as an input when the decision is necessary to avoid another disaster due to the gas leak in that area.Keywords : Air Polution, Sidoarjo mudflow, Gas Consentration Monitoring, Bubble gas

Gas produced by landfill is bio-gas that has a high concentration of methane that could cause global warming if not controlled. Good management of a landfill in controling the production of methane gas, can be used as an alternative sources of energy to produce electrical energy. Monitoring of methane gas production needs to be done continuously for the energy conversion process can take place perfectly without polluting the environment. Fixed monitoring system described in this paper is the result of design and development including hardware and software of monitoring technology for methane gas to facilitate research in doing observations of a landfill performance.keywords : final disposal, landfill gas, methane, landfill performance, fixed landfill gas monitoring system

Clean water needs in almost all regions in Indonesia became a very important thing nowadays, although the areas not experiencing drought. This is due to existing water is no longer eligible for use as daily life water. In some areas the water have been polluted and certain natural conditions make it difficult for population to get their water. Pandeglang district is one of disadvantaged areas that experiencing problems of clean water needs, although this area has water resources are abundant. To help residents in solving this problem, it will be required an information of water treatment technology that can be widely accessed by residents in the Pandeglang district. By using opensource software applications, the information system for water treatment technology can be developed to provide information of appropriate technology needs for solving the problem of providing clean water in Pandeglang.keywords : information system for technology, clean water management, waste water treatment, environmental technology, hypertext document, free open sourcesoftware (OSS).

Masalah pencemaran kualitas air terjadi di beberapa daerah terpencil di Indonesia. Pencemaran yang terjadi umumnya bersumber pada banyaknya sedimentasi yang berasal dari wilayah hulu dengan banyaknya penebangan hutan dan pembukaan lahan pertanian secara liar oleh masyarakat. Untuk mengendalikan pencemaran yang terjadi di remote area ini, perlu dipantau menggunakan teknologi telemeteri online monitoring kualitas air. Adanya keterbatasan sumber energi listrik di remote area menyebabkan perlunya dilakukan inovasi sumber listrik menggunakan tenaga surya untuk mengoperasikan sistem peralatan telemetri. Tulisan ini membahas pengembangan sistem sampling pemantauan kualitas air yang dapat dioperasikan menggunakan sistem pompa 12VDC yang digerakkan dengan sumber listrik tenaga surya. Penelitian diasumsikan untuk memantau kualitas air sungai di remote area dengan sumber air sungai di kedalaman 8~12 meter. Sistem sampling yang dikembangkan adalah sistem bertingkat (cascade) menggunakan pompa 24VDC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk memompa air sungai dengan posisi lereng yang curam perlu dibuat sistem sampling bertingkat menggunakan pompa submersibel 24VDC. Kata kunci: pencemaran air, kualitas air, sistem pemompaan, sistem sampel, tenaga surya

Riset dan pengembangan mengenai teknologi pemantauan kualitas air secara realtime terus dilakukan untuk dapat mengurangi produksi pembuatan data logger. Teknologi Onlimo OSS adalah sistem pemantuan kualitas air realtime yang menggunakan microprocessor sebagai data loggernya dan memanfaatkan aplikasi perangkat lunak terbuka yang berfungsi untuk mengendalikan kerja sensor dalam rangka pengambilan data kualitas air dan mengirimkannya ke pusat data. Pengembangan teknologi Onlimo OSS ini adalah sebuah teknologi pemantauan kualitas air secara online dan realtime yang memanfaatkan Raspberry Pi sebagai data logger dan menggunakan perangkat lunak terbuka. Penggunaan Raspberry Pi sebagai data logger lebih cepat diproduksi dibandingkan menggunakan microprocessor dan mudah menggantinya. Onlimo OSS ini menggunakan energi terbarukan berupa solar panel sehingga dapat diterapkan di remote area yang tidak dialiri pasokan listrik dari PLN. Analisa kebutuhan power supply untuk Onlimo OSS dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut : perhitungan total daya setiap peralatan yang digunakan pada Onlimo OSS, perhitungan total daya selama waktu tertentu sesuai kebutuhan Onlimo OSS, perhitungan kebutuhan solar panel, baterai dan solar charge controller serta pemilihan jenisnya, dan pembuatan rangkaian listrik untuk power supply Onlimo OSS. Power supply pada Onlimo OSS ini berjenis DC yang berasal dari baterai dan solar panel. Dengan ada penambahan baterai, Onlimo OSS ini memiliki fitur yang lebih banyak seperti webcam dan LED Matrix sehingga power supply ini sudah paling efisien. Kata kunci: pemantauan kualitas air realtime, onlimo oss, data logger, Raspberry Pi, power supply, DC, solar panel, baterai, efisien

Semayang Lake and Melintang Lake in Kutai Kartanegara district, East Kalimantan is one of the biggest lake in Indonesia. Both lakes are located in the Mahakam River Basin and has an important role for economic and ecological activities in the Province of East Kalimantan. In addition to being a source of livelihood for fishermen around the lake, is also as habitat for freshwater mammals Pesut Mahakam that are endangered. Illegal logging in the forest around the lake, causing floods when it rains and water pollution will increase with sediment flowing into the lake. In some areas also get the impact of transportation activities of coal mining industry around the Mahakam River. All this causes silting almost the entire surface of the lake, lead to a reduction of existing fishery potential and cause extinction of Pesut Mahakam. To control pollution in the lake, local government of Kutai Kartanegara has implemented an online monitoring technology to monitor the water quality of the lake in four point location. Monitoring results are used to support local goverment in taking pollution control policies in both lakes. Keywords: Water quality online monitoring system, lake water quality monitoring system, GSM and SMS technology, multiprobe sensor, telemtry system.

Online and realtime monitoring system for water quality that uses a computer mainboard as data logger requires software applications that serve to control the sensor work in order to measure the water quality data and sends it to the data center. Some of the requirements such as data measurement, storage and delivery of data and early warning system are required by the data logger in order to have the features as desired by the majority of users of this system. To facilitate the making of the program code, sensor with serial communication ports (RS232C) will be used. Program control data logger that meets these requirements is developed using Water Flow Software Development Life Cycle method and using GNU C++ the free open source software (FOSS) as the development tools. Program control data logger that has been developed will be installed to the data logger hardware and operated using FreeBSD as the Operating system. Environmental contamination and global climate change cause degradation of fresh water in the whole world. Increasing of oil price also insist the water treatment operational cost rise, especially for pumping and water lifting from the low land areas to up land. One of alternatif solution to reduce operational cost is using Hydraulic ram pumps (hydram pump). Hydram pump are water-lifting devices that are powered by filling water. Such pumps work by using the energy of water falling a small height to lift a small part of that amount of water to a much greater height. In this way, water from a spring or stream in a valley can be pumped to a village or irrigation scheme on the hillside. The main and unique advantage of hydram pumps is that with a continuous flow of water, a hydram pump operates automatically and continuously with no other external energy source - be it electricity or hydrocarbon fuel. It uses a renewable energy source (stream of water) mid hence ensures low running cost. Minimum up lifting vertical power of pump is twice than vertical distance of water down and maximum up lifting vertical power is twenty times than vertical distance of water down.   If there are air captured in distribution pipe, it will need release valve. In this paper, different aspect of designing a hydraulic-rain pump system is discussed. Application and limitation of hydram pump is presented. It imparts absolutely no harm to the environment Hydraulic ram pumps are simple, reliable and require minimal maintenance. All these advantages make hydram pumps suitable to rural community water supply and mud backyard irrigation in developing countries. Kata Kunci : Air bersih pedesaan, pompa hidram, pengelolaan air bersih.

Real-time water quality monitoring requires data logger for automatic data retrieval by sensors. The hardware data logger for realtime monitoring can be developed by utilizing scars computer mainboard that are still functioning and widely avaliable in the market at low prices. Through online monitoring applications that developed by using free open source software, water quality data can be measured in accordance with the specified time interval and stored in the database system. This paper discusses the hardware selection and recomendation studies that include the motherboard and CPU, storage, transmission and communication medium required for the manufacturing of computer's mainboard based data logger. The results of this study are to be used as an alternative data logger selection for realtime water quality monitoring with low investment costs. So, the water companies can monitor raw water quality from their water treatment plant as well as the industrial can monitor wastewater quality from wastewater treatment plant. Keyword : online monitoring, real time monitoring, early warning system (EWS), open source software, data logger, onlimo OSS.

Industrial area represents location where some industries operate in one same area region. Usually an industrial area besides there are factory also there are office and housing. To fulfill domestic clean water required by housing and office, usually the organizer of industrial area have developed a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) with source of raw water which come from a river emitting a stream of around area. The increasing of domestic clean water needs has pushed management to increase the production of clean water by the existing WTP. Besides that, to increase the quality of clean water service to the domestic exist in industrial area, hence felt important to develop a system of SCADA to manage existing process in the WTP. As step early is to identify and plan the design system of SCADA for domestic WTP. From the result of development planning, the SCADA can be developed step by step according to the project plan and existing budget. Kata kunci : Water Treatment Plant (WTP), Instalasi Pengolahan Air (IPA), Kebutuhan Air Bersih Domestik Perumahan, Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA).
