Abstract

Efficient distribution is a key component in modern logistics systems, especially in food industries such as bread factories. This study examines the application of Vogel's Approximation method in the optimisation process of bread distribution from PT RotPak, located in Waena, to a number of demand points. This method was chosen for its ability to produce efficient initial solutions that are close to the optimum. The calculation results show that the total distribution cost can be minimised to 510 cost units. This study contributes to data-driven distribution decision-making and heuristic methods in small and medium-sized industrial environments.

Abstract

Distribution is an important part of the logistics system that affects operational cost efficiency, especially for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector. This study was conducted at the MSME Rumah Tempe Barokah Jaya in Jayapura City, which produces 650 packs of tempeh per day and delivers twice a day: 300 packs in the morning and 350 packs in the evening. The tempeh products are distributed to three destination points: traditional markets, catering businesses, and mobile vendors. The main challenge faced is the high distribution costs, particularly due to the varying distances between destinations. This study aims to minimize total transportation costs using the Least Cost Method. The solution was implemented using Python programming language with the linear optimization library PuLP to determine an efficient shipping allocation based on a cost matrix. The analysis results show that this method can optimally allocate shipments according to the capacity and needs of each destination, thereby minimizing total distribution costs

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Facebook user satisfaction with the services and content available in Jayapura, a crucial issue given Facebook's dominant role as a communication and interaction platform in today's digital era. This study adopts the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model as its primary measurement framework, encompassing five critical dimensions: content, accuracy, format, ease of use, and timeliness. A quantitative research method was employed, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 Facebook users in Jayapura, analyzed using a 5-point Likert scale. Validity test results indicate that all 14 questionnaire items are valid, with rcalculated values greater than rtable (0.245). The internal consistency of the instrument also proved reliable, evidenced by a Cronbach's Alpha value of 0.611491, categorized as acceptable. Based on the analysis of average scores per dimension, users demonstrated neutral to satisfied levels of satisfaction regarding Content (average 3.09), Ease of Use (average 2.99), and Timeliness (average 2.98). However, the Accuracy (average 2.91) and Format (average 2.97) dimensions tended towards a neutral level, with information accuracy being an area requiring further attention. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for Facebook developers to enhance platform quality to meet user expectations and maintain its relevance amidst fierce social media competition

Abstract

The development of coffee shop businesses in Timika City is growing rapidly, making competition between businesses increasingly fierce. This condition forces entrepreneurs to better understand the things that influence a person's decision to buy their products. This study aims to analyze the influence of price, product quality, and service quality on consumer purchasing decisions at Dialog Kopi, Timika City. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods. The data used is primary data obtained from 28 respondents who have purchased products at Dialog Kopi. The analytical methods used include validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that individually, price and service quality did not have a significant impact on consumer purchasing decisions. However, product quality has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables, namely price, product quality, and service quality, have a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions. The value of the coefficient of determination shows that these three variables are able to explain 72.8% of purchasing decisions, while the remaining 27.2% is influenced by other variables not analyzed in this study. The research conclusion shows that product quality is the main factor influencing purchasing decisions at Dialog Kopi, so entrepreneurs need to focus on improving and maintaining product quality in order to attract consumers

Abstract

Culinary tourism is one of the fastest-growing tourism sectors and holds great potential in supporting the local economy, particularly through MSMEs. Lubuk Linggau City, as the second-largest city in South Sumatra Province, possesses significant culinary tourism potential. However, the utilization of social media for the development of this sector remains suboptimal. This study aims to examine the existing condition of culinary tourism in Lubuk Linggau City and to analyze development strategies implemented through the Instagram account @jajan_linggau. The research employed a descriptive-qualitative method with a case study approach, using data collection techniques such as direct observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. SWOT analysis was also applied to formulate development strategies culinary tourism in Lubuk Linggau City for the Instagram account as a medium of culinary promotion. The findings indicate that @jajan_linggau actively promotes local culinary MSMEs through engaging visual content, interactive captions, and the use of Instagram features such as feed, stories, and reels. The identified development strategies include collaboration with MSME actors and government, strengthening local brand image, and optimizing digital content. This study concludes that social media, particularly Instagram, plays a strategic role in developing regional culinary tourism when supported by consistent content, cross-sector collaboration, and creative and sustainable marketing approaches

Abstract

The current development of e-commerce in Indonesia cannot be separated from people's habits that demand practicality and speed. There has been a change in consumer behavior from usually buying food offline to now switching to buying food online using services in the marketplace. This has led to an increase in food delivery transactions. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors that influence consumer behavior in purchasing food using online delivery services. The sampling method used by the author is comfortable sampling, namely a sampling technique using free samples according to the author's wishes. The sample size is 100 respondents. The research results show that overall the factors have a significant influence and contribution simultaneously. And partially, the factor that has a significant influence is the personal control factor, while the attitude and subjective norm factors do not have a significant influence on online food purchasing decisions

Abstract

Tourism is one of the main pillars of the Bali regional economy that drives fierce competition in the hotel accommodation sector. Established in 2014 and located in a strategic and easily accessible area, The Trans Resort Bali positions itself with the positioning statement "A Leading Five-Star Resort for Business and Leisure". This study uses a qualitative case study approach that aims to identify the marketing communication strategies implemented by The Trans Resort Bali in improving the company's brand image and profitability. This analysis was conducted through the SWOT analysis method with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, documentation and questionnaires filled out by the company. In the process of determining the weight and rating of internal and external factors that influence the marketing communication strategy, as many as 3 respondents participated in filling out the questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the marketing communication strategy implemented is a marketing communication concept that includes advertising, sales promotions, direct marketing, digital marketing and social media as well as public relations. This strategy is expected to increase visibility, memorability and positive brand image among potential guests and customers to the profitability of The Trans Resort Bali. The company is located in Quadrant I (aggressive strategy) and Cell II (growth strategy) of the Internal- External Matrix, indicating that the hotel has significant internal strengths and various external opportunities that can be utilized to achieve business goals. This study also identified that the implementation of digital advertising, particularly on the Meta Ads and Google Ads platforms, is not optimal. Therefore, this study recommends several strategies, such as strengthening social media content, collaborating with influencers and travel bloggers, optimizing digital advertising, and organizing CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities.

Abstract

In the world of micro and small enterprises, limited resources such as cost, time, and labor are major obstacles in production planning. This study aims to determine an optimal production strategy to maximize the profit from the sale of two types of cireng products, namely chicken- filled cireng and meatball-filled cireng, using a linear programming approach. The methods employed include the graphical method and the QM for Windows software, each applied to solve a mathematical model based on real data from a small-scale business. The analysis results show that the optimal production combination is achieved by producing 1.28 kg of chicken-filled cireng dough and 3.08 kg of meatball-filled cireng dough, yielding a maximum profit of Idr269,240. The graphical method and QM for Windows produced consistent solutions, indicating that linear programming can be an effective and practical tool for micro and small business owners in making production decisions. This approach is expected to be widely adopted by small business sectors, particularly in the processed food industry, to improve production efficiency and business competitiveness

Abstract

The placement of the parking stand is the responsibility of the Apron Movement Control unit to ensure accuracy and order. This unit is required to cooperate with other relevant units. The purpose of this study is to identify how AMC officers coordinate when determining aircraft parking spaces, as well as the constraints and efforts made. This study uses a qualitative method that collects data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected by the study were analyzed, reduced, and a conclusion was drawn from the results of the study. The AMC unit has complied with the Standard Operating Procedures that have been established in the placement of the parking stand. One of the obstacles in this case is a miscommunication that results in data input errors regarding parking stands and inconsistencies with gates. In addition, technical obstacles in the placement of parking stands such as cracks in the parking stand, oil spills in the parking stand area, and damage to the aviobridge. The efforts made are to improve communication between units and conduct regular briefings and evaluations.

Abstract

Distribution is one of the important aspects in the supply chain that plays a major role in the operational cost efficiency of a company. This study aims to optimise the distribution costs of tofu and tempeh from the Apo Gudang Factory to several destination markets in Jayapura using the North West Corner (NWC) method. This method was selected due to its simplicity in providing an initial solution to distribution problems involving the allocation of shipments from two warehouses to four market locations, considering supply capacity, demand, and transportation costs per unit. The study was conducted using a descriptive quantitative approach with primary data obtained directly from the factory in May 2025. The research stages included field observations, transportation table compilation, application of the NWC method, distribution cost calculations, and analysis of results. The results of the study indicate that daily distribution costs can be reduced from IDR15,000 to IDR 400,000, resulting in an efficiency of IDR 15,000 per day. Although the solution from the NWC method may not be globally optimal, it can serve as a basis for further improvements using optimisation methods such as MODI or Stepping Stone. Thus, the application of the NWC method in the distribution of tofu and tempeh factories has proven to provide a systematic and efficient initial solution. This study provides a concrete example that a mathematical approach in distribution management can help companies reduce operational costs and improve the effectiveness of logistics strategies
