Abstract

Tracer studies are an important instrument used by universities to evaluate the quality of graduates and assess the relevance of the curriculum to the needs of the workforce. Information obtained from tracer studies can provide valuable input for improving the quality of education, developing study program development strategies, and meeting data requirements for accreditation. However, manual tracer study implementation often faces various obstacles, including limited respondent reach due to uneven questionnaire distribution, time-consuming data processing, and difficulties in presenting structured and easily understood reports. Based on these problems, this study aims to design and implement a web-based Tracer Study Information System at AMIK Luwuk Banggai. This system was developed to simplify the process of collecting, processing, and analyzing alumni data more efficiently and accurately. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a Waterfall development model approach, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The results show that the system is able to manage alumni data centrally, provide facilities for filling out tracer study questionnaires online, and produce reports in the form of informative tables and graphs. This feature helps the university present faster, more accurate, and more easily accessible data as a basis for strategic decision-making. Thus, the designed web-based tracer study information system has proven to be operational and functional as intended. Implementation of this system not only improves the efficiency and accuracy of tracer study implementation but also supports the institution's data needs for academic development and study program accreditation.

Abstract

Correspondence administration is a crucial element in supporting smooth communication, coordination, and documentation within the government. Every government agency, including the Banggai Islands National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), requires orderly and systematic correspondence administration to ensure timely delivery and proper documentation. Kesbangpol Banggai Islands plays a strategic role in political coordination, fostering national insight, and facilitating inter-agency communication, making the existence of an effective correspondence administration system crucial. Currently, the management of incoming and outgoing mail is still carried out manually. This manual process creates various obstacles, including the risk of document loss, delays in information distribution, recording errors, and difficulties in searching archives. In addition, the manual system limits transparency and accountability, as it is often difficult to accurately track the flow of documents. This condition can certainly hamper organizational performance and reduce the quality of public services. This research aims to design and build an integrated correspondence administration information system based on digital technology. The system is designed to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy in document management, ensuring that every incoming and outgoing letter is properly recorded and easily accessible. The research methods used include needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The expected outcome of this study is the development of a digital solution that simplifies the process of recording, searching, and reporting official letters. With this system, it is hoped that the Banggai Islands Kesbangpol will be able to improve organizational performance by accelerating communication and documentation flows. Furthermore, the implementation of this system will also support the principles of transparency, accountability, and modernization of public services within the local government. Ultimately, the implementation of an integrated information system will not only reduce administrative errors but also foster better governance and public trust.

Abstract

Website security is a crucial aspect of ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and availability, especially in the face of increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. E-Pinter, a digital licensing service platform, is highly vulnerable to cyberattacks such as SQL Injection and Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), both of which can potentially compromise its system and the sensitive information stored within. This study aims to evaluate the security level of the E-Pinter website against these two types of attacks through a combination of manual and automated penetration testing methods designed to identify existing vulnerabilities. The SQL Injection tests involved inserting various payloads into input parameters to assess whether the database could be manipulated, while the XSS tests were conducted by embedding malicious scripts into unvalidated inputs to determine the likelihood of user interface exploitation. The results revealed several weaknesses that attackers could exploit, potentially leading to data leaks, unauthorized access, and disruptions to system operations. These findings highlight that the E-Pinter platform, as a critical public service system, requires immediate strengthening of its security protocols. As a mitigation effort, the research recommends the implementation of prepared statements to protect against SQL Injection attacks and the use of functions such as htmlspecialchars() to prevent the execution of malicious XSS scripts. Furthermore, it emphasizes the importance of continuous security monitoring, regular penetration testing, and proper input validation as essential practices for sustainable website protection. By adopting these measures, the security of E-Pinter can be significantly enhanced, ensuring the safety of user data, improving public trust in digital government services, and reducing the risk of exploitation in the future, especially as digital transformation accelerates in public administration and service delivery.

Abstract

X has not yet implemented a web-based information system to serve as a school information medium and support the New Student Admission (PPDB) process. Previously, registration was carried out manually through brochures and Google Forms, which were less effective and difficult to manage. This study aims to design and develop a web-based PPDB system integrated with school information to improve administrative efficiency and provide convenience for prospective students. The development method used was the prototype model, which included stages of design, development, evaluation, and implementation. The system was developed using the CodeIgniter 4 framework, AdminLTE template, and MySQL database. The system development process involved creating a user-friendly interface for prospective students to easily register and access school information online. Additionally, it supports data verification and enables the digital management of student data and school-related information, eliminating the need for manual processing. The results of this study indicate that the developed system is capable of facilitating users in the registration process, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data verification, and streamlining the overall management of school information. The system has been successfully tested and evaluated to ensure it meets user requirements and improves administrative tasks. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance the overall experience for prospective students and administrators by reducing errors, improving data accessibility, and increasing efficiency in handling the PPDB process. This web-based solution also provides a more modern and scalable approach to school administration, which can be further developed and adapted for future use. The findings suggest that the integration of web-based systems in educational institutions can significantly improve service delivery and operational management

Abstract

Automatic and adaptive fan speed control is an important aspect in maintaining the stable performance of electronic devices, reducing energy consumption, and preventing damage due to excessive temperature. This research focuses on the design and implementation of a DC fan speed control system that utilizes a temperature sensor in the form of a KSD type thermostat as the main regulator. The system is designed to be able to operate at three different speed levels, which are automatically activated based on certain temperature points, namely 31°C, 40°C, and 55°C. Thus, the fan only works according to actual needs, so its use is more efficient. The research method used is a laboratory experimental approach, which includes three main stages, namely electronic circuit design, hardware component assembly, and functional testing of the system. Trials are carried out to ensure that the system is able to respond to temperature changes appropriately and consistently. The test results show that the control system built works according to the design, where the fan can adjust its rotational speed automatically when the temperature reaches a predetermined threshold. Overall, this system has a simple design, is robust to temperature changes, and is effective in controlling heat in electronic devices. Its implementation has the potential to provide significant benefits in the form of energy efficiency, more optimal fan power utilization, and extended device lifespan through stable operating temperature control. This research could form the basis for the development of smarter and more efficient cooling systems in the future.

Abstract

This research focuses on the design, implementation, and testing of a DC-to-AC inverter circuit utilizing an astable multivibrator configuration. The primary objective of this study is to convert a 12-volt DC input voltage, typically obtained from a battery or other low-voltage sources, into a standard 220-volt AC output voltage suitable for powering common household and industrial appliances. Inverters play a crucial role in power electronics, enabling the efficient use of renewable and portable energy systems. The research method involved several stages, beginning with circuit design based on an astable multivibrator schematic. Components including C1815 and TIP31C transistors, resistors, capacitors, and a step-up transformer were carefully selected and assembled onto a printed circuit board (PCB). After the circuit was successfully constructed, testing was carried out by supplying a 12-volt DC source and measuring the resulting voltage values using a digital multimeter. The experimental results demonstrated that the inverter circuit was able to effectively convert the input voltage into an alternating output, producing an average of 228 volts AC. This indicates that the designed circuit not only functioned according to expectations but also operated with a high degree of accuracy. Overall, the findings highlight the practicality and reliability of the astable multivibrator inverter for low-power conversion applications. Furthermore, the study contributes to a deeper understanding of inverter circuit design and offers a foundation for further development of efficient, low-cost, and accessible power conversion systems.

Abstract

The electronic lock using RFID facilitates access in and out and provides more security compared to conventional door locks. Pamulang University Electrical Engineering Student Association (HIMA) has a door lock system in the HIMA secretariat room using a manual key and does not yet have a member card for their members. For this reason, the HIMA member card with RFID-based door security is expected to facilitate access and increase security in the HIMA secretariat room. The variables in this study are HIMA member cards, access time response on the system, hardware reliability on the system, and electrical voltage on hardware components. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the door security system can be implemented by showing that the hardware components in the system work well and can receive input and output according to their working principles. The average card reading response speed is around 7.73 seconds using a HIMA member card and 7.29 seconds using an unregistered card. The type of card that can open the door to the HIMA secretariat room can only 10 HIMA member card, apart from this card the door remains locked. The measured electrical voltage on the NodeMCU ESP8266 device components was 4.94VDC, the Door Lock Solenoid was 12.07VDC, the LCD was 4.05VDC, the Buzzer was 1.41VDC, the RFID Reader MFRC522 was 2.78VDC, and the Relay was 4.96VDC. The database system can be recorded on Google Spreadsheet by displaying the results of entry access using HIMA member cards and unregistered cards and can be monitored in real time or as a database for entry access to the HIMA secretariat room.

Abstract

In presentation activities, the use of physical devices such as a mouse or remote often limits the presenter’s mobility and reduces the effectiveness of interaction with the audience. This study aims to implement a hand gesture recognition system as an alternative solution to control presentation slides in real-time without additional devices. The system was developed using the MediaPipe framework for hand landmark detection, OpenCV for video image processing, and a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model for sequential gesture classification. Three main gestures were defined as commands, namely “Next,” “Previous,” and “Idle,” with input taken from live video streaming at a distance of 1–3 meters.The development process included manual labeling of gesture data from multiple users, training the LSTM model with sequential data, and testing the system in real-time integrated with Microsoft PowerPoint. Experimental results indicate that the system successfully recognized hand gestures with high accuracy across most scenarios, with optimal performance observed at distances of 1–2 meters. However, accuracy decreased under low-light conditions or when gestures were performed too quickly.These findings demonstrate that the combination of MediaPipe, OpenCV, and LSTM is effective in building a gesture-based presentation control system. Beyond enhancing flexibility and interactivity in presentations, this research also contributes to the development of more natural and practical human–computer interaction systems, while offering opportunities for broader applications in other domains

Abstract

Honorary employees are an important element in supporting the performance of an institution. Their presence, with adequate competence and productivity, greatly helps ease the workload and ensures the smooth operation of government institutions. In this study, the implementation of a Decision Support System using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method is applied to evaluate the performance of honorary employees. The results of this evaluation are expected to serve as a consideration for the Head of the Subdivision of Personnel in determining policies related to the provision of rewards, bonuses, or sanctions for honorary employees. In addition, calculations are also carried out on the assessment of non-government employees as a form of comparison. The SAW method was chosen because of its practical nature, ease of application, and ability to produce accurate decisions. This method works on the principle of weighted summation, where each criterion is assigned a specific weight, so that the final score obtained becomes the basis for decision-making. From a managerial perspective, performance evaluation can be enhanced by adding criteria according to the needs of the institution or company. Calculations using the SAW method have proven to provide a high level of accuracy in assessing the performance of honorary employees, particularly based on aspects of work, performance evaluation results, and work attitude assessment.

Abstract

In the modern era, air quality has become a significant environmental concern, especially in indoor public facilities such as school libraries where students and staff spend considerable time. Poor indoor air quality can negatively affect health, concentration, and overall comfort, highlighting the need for a reliable monitoring solution. This study proposes the design and implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air quality monitoring system integrated with a Fuzzy Logic algorithm. The system utilizes a DHT-11 sensor to measure temperature and humidity and an MQ-135 sensor to detect harmful gases. Data are transmitted in real time using the WEMOS D1 Mini microcontroller and processed through the Mamdani Fuzzy Logic method, producing intuitive linguistic outputs such as “good,” “moderate,” and “poor.” Testing results demonstrate that the system can effectively monitor temperature, humidity, and toxic gas concentrations simultaneously with acceptable accuracy. The air quality assessments generated are simple to interpret and useful for decision-making, enabling schools to maintain a healthy and comfortable learning environment. Moreover, the system provides a low-cost and scalable solution that can be further expanded to other public facilities. Its combination of Internet of Things and Fuzzy Logic ensures adaptability, accuracy, and practicality for small-scale environmental monitoring applications in libraries.
