Abstract

As much as 15–40% of all plastic that is dumped into the sea will undergo degradation into microplastics. This research was attempted to analyze the content of microplastics on the coast of Padang and to analyze the correlation between microplastic concentrations with pH, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), temperature, and rainfall. The characteristics of the microplastics analyzed were concentration, color, shape, dimensions, and type of polymer. Illustrations were taken at 9 points with a frequency of 3 times. The concentration of microplastics in the sample is calculated by calculating the number of microplastic particles per unit volume of water or dry sediment mass units. Characteristics of color, shape, and size were analyzed using a microscope, while the type of polymer was analyzed with Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) spectroscopy. The average microplastic concentration in the water illustration is 1.667– 6.667 particles/L and 54.882–84.544 particles/ kilogram in the sediment illustration. The dominant microplastic found was in the form of fiber with a percentage of 95% in the water samples and 79.012% in the sediment samples. The dominant color found is blue with a percentage of 47.619% in the water illustration and 65.432% in the sediment illustration. The most commonly found microplastic size is Large Microplastic (LMP) with a percentage of 76.190% in water samples and 64.198% in sediment samples.

Abstract

Stress can be experienced by anyone, both young adults and the elderly. Gastritis often occurs in adolescents, people who are stressed, who consume alcohol and non- steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Stress has a negative effect through neuroendocrine mechanisms on the digestive tract so that it is at risk for experiencing gastritis. .Stress can affect a person's eating patterns and rest periods. This results in hormonal changes in the body and an increase in stomach acid which causes gastritis. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between stress and gastritis. The method was carried out using a literature review method by gathering information from written sources in the form of books, journals and articles. The results of this study are to present four articles related to the relationship between stress events and gastritis. The table shows that stress has a relationship with gastritis. Because stressful conditions that have negative conditions can trigger a recurrence of gastritis

Merr) is a very popular fruit in Indonesia which has a very high nutritional value compared to other fruits. Pineapple has the advantage of helping health because it contains the enzyme bromelain, which hydrolyzes protein, tenderizes meat, and has healing properties. Traditional pineapple cake is a cake made from cassava with the addition of pineapple covered with grated coconut. Processed cake is very high value. Pineapple sweet potato is a food that is in great demand by the public because it tastes sweet, savory, and has a variety of flavors. Also, there are who practice marsidudu with steam-bathing process. This research aimed to understand the use, procession, preservation of marsidudu, and the utilization of plants used in marsidudu. This study uses the method of literature review that the characteristic is uses secondary data by reviewing national journals through internet such as Google Scholar and Researchgate with predetermined inclusion criteria. The results have shown that it's practical because it uses the plants that is easy to get, it’s also believed by the Mandailing can improve health, such as reduce pain, clean the reproductive organs, improve blood circulation, and skin rejuvenation of the mothers after childbirth. Abstract

The behavior of fiber consumption until now is still quite low among the public. Though fiber is a component that is important enough for the body to maintain health and as a prevention of disease. Moreover, for students whose majority live in diost, they do not really care about the adequacy of fiber that must be consumed according to daily fiber needs due to several factors, one of which is economic factors in boarding children. This study aims to determine the theory of planned behavior, which focuses on attitudes based on beliefs, namely attitudes, subjective norms, perceptions of control and intentions of students of the class of 2020 Faculty of Public Health, State Islamic University of North Sumatra towards fiber consumption behavior in accordance with daily needs. This research is qualitative research. This research was conducted at the Faculty of Public Health, State Islamic University of North Sumatra. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling with informant criteria, namely students who live in boarding houses, active students of the faculty of public health. The informant of this research consisted of 5 main informants and 1 key informant. Research data is primary data collected by the in-depth waancra method. The results showed that students had a positive attitude towards fiber consumption behavior. Subjective norms come from the family but in this context the mother is more dominant in influencing. The perception of control possessed by students is low perception of control, all students have good and positive intentions for fiber consumption as needed.

Abstract

Traumatic brain injury is a mechanical trauma to the head, either directly or indirectly, which causes impaired neurological function, namely physical, cognitive, psychosocial functioning, both temporarily and permanently. Traumatic brain injury is a very complex disease. Currently, there is no effective treatment that can reduce the effects of the primary injury, only therapy that can inhibit its development. Interventions to improve the quality of life of traumatic brain injury patients used to include drug treatment, surgery, and rehabilitation therapy have had poor results. The recent clinical use of stem cells as a possible therapeutic application. Stem cell therapy is used in regenerative medicine to restore damaged neurons. Stem cell is a cell that exhibits a multipotent capacity to differentiate into different cell types and has the capacity for self-renewal. In different preclinical studies, conducted in animal models of traumatic brain injury, stem cell transplantation has led to improvements in several neurological parameters. Mesenchymal stem cell therapy is one of the most potent and attractive options for regenerative therapy of traumatic brain injury. This therapy has shown its potential in clinical aspects. Although there is much basic research on traumatic brain injury, especially on the complex pathophysiology and applicability of stem cell therapy, there are still many issues that need to be resolved to determine the best method for recovery of brain function.

Electronic cigarettes are one of the new types of cigarettes that contain compounds that are carcinogens, compounds that trigger cancer. The phenomenon that exists today, many adolescent women become users of electronic cigarettes and do not know the dangers of electronic cigarettes. The study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge and perception of electronic cigarette (vape) use in adolescent girls in Medan City. This type of research is quantitative research with a descriptive analysis design design with a cross sectional approach.Sampling technique using porpusive sampling approach. Data was collected using questionnaires through google forms. Data analysis using the Spearman statistical test. The results of the statistical test showed p value = 0.163 > α (0.05), there was no relationship between knowledge and perception of e-cigarette use (vape). The good and bad behavior of a person in the field of health depends on the level of knowledge possessed. Abstract

This research focuses on the driving factors of smoking behavior in college students: a qualitative approach. The research design to be used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The results showed that all informants started smoking when they were still in school. In conclusion, the driving factor for smoking students is due to the pressure that these students get, feeling bored with academic activities and already very addicted to smoking. This makes it difficult for students to stop themselves from smoking on campus. There is also no policy regarding the prohibition of smoking on campus.
