Abstract

Abstract Smoking among teenagers in Indonesia has significantly increased, affecting the quality of Human Resources and academic achievements. This study examines the influence of nicotine in cigarettes on the learning ability of students at SMP Negeri 1 Dewantara through psychoeducational methods. Psychoeducation was conducted to enhance students' understanding of the negative impacts of nicotine, which can cause cognitive disturbances, memory decline, and difficulty concentrating. The results of the community service show that many students are aware of the dangers of smoking, but they lack understanding of the mechanisms of its harm. The results of this activity aim to provide in-depth information and encourage a positive attitude towards health, and it is expected to be applied in daily life to improve their quality of life so that students can avoid the dangers of smoking and have a healthy lifestyle. In addition, this activity is also expected to reduce the number of smokers among teenagers. Through the education provided, it is hoped that students can understand the importance of maintaining health. Abstrak Merokok di kalangan remaja di Indonesia mengalami peningkatan signifikan, memengaruhi kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dan prestasi akademik. Pengabdian menginformasikan pengaruh zat nikotin dalam rokok terhadap kemampuan belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Dewantara melalui metode psikoedukasi. Psikoedukasi dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai dampak negatif nikotin, yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan kognitif, penurunan daya ingat, dan kesulitan berkonsentrasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa menyadari bahaya rokok, tetapi kurang memahami mekanisme kerusakannya. Hasil kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan informasi yang mendalam dan mendorong sikap positif terhadap kesehatan, serta diharapkan dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup mereka agar siswa dapat terhindar dari bahaya rokok dan memiliki pola hidup sehat. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat mengurangi angka perokok di kalangan remaja. Melalui edukasi yang diberikan, diharapkan siswa dapat memahami pentingnya menjaga kesehatan. Abstract

Abstract Kemampuan hidup mencakup kemampuan mengenal diri, berpikir rasional, berkomunikasi secara efektif, bekerja sama, serta mengambil keputusan secara tepat dan bertanggung jawab. Keterampilan pengambilan keputusan mencerminkan kemampuan seseorang dalam memilih alternatif terbaik dari berbagai pilihan yang tersedia, berdasarkan pertimbangan rasional, etika, dan tanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan hidup (life skill) pada siswa/i di lingkungan Dayah Al-Huda, khususnya dalam aspek pengambilan keputusan. Metode yang digunakan adalah psikoedukasi, yang mencakup pemberian materi life skill dan pelatihan keterampilan pengambilan keputusan melalui media permainan edukatif. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 10 siswa tingkat Ulya/SMA dan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Juli 2025. Evaluasi dilakukan menggunakan pretest dan posttest yang dianalisis dengan uji Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa setelah pelaksanaan program, dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Dengan demikian, psikoedukasi terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kecakapan hidup siswa dalam membuat keputusan yang bijak dan bertanggung jawab. Kata Kunci : Life Skill, Psikoedukasi, Pengambilan keputusan, Siswa Dayah Abstrak Life skills include the ability to know oneself, think rationally, communicate effectively, cooperate, and make decisions appropriately and responsibly. Decision-making skills reflect a person's ability to choose the best alternative from various available options, based on rational considerations, ethics, and responsibility. This study aims to develop life skills in students at Dayah Al-Huda, especially in the aspect of decision-making. The method used is psychoeducation, which includes providing life skills material and decision-making skills training through educational games. This activity involved 10 Ulya/SMA level students and was carried out on July 10, 2025. Evaluation was carried out using a pretest and posttest analyzed by the Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed a significant increase in students' understanding and skills after the program implementation, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Thus, psychoeducation has been proven effective in improving students' life skills in making wise and responsible decisions. Keywords:Life Skills, Psychoeducation, Decision Making, Dayah Student.

Abstract

Mental health is an essential component of overall health that still faces various challenges, including stigma, low literacy, and limited access to services. Mental health cadres play a strategic role in supporting community-based health services, particularly through home visits and patient referrals. However, limited knowledge and lack of continuous training remain obstacles in carrying out their duties. This activity aims to improve the capacity of mental health cadres through refresher training to enhance the quality of home visits and the effectiveness of patient referrals. The method used was a community service approach with an educational and participatory design through lectures, discussions, simulations, and mentoring, using a one group pretest-posttest design. The activity was conducted on March 23, 2025, in Gelumpang Baro District, Pidie Regency, involving 40 mental health cadres. The results showed a significant increase in cadres’ knowledge and skills after the intervention, as well as improved ability in conducting home visits and patient referrals. Therefore, refresher training for mental health cadres is effective in improving the quality of community-based mental health services.

Abstract

Optimizing the management of information system applications is a crucial aspect in improving government performance and public service quality. This community service program aims to enhance human resource capacity and optimize the utilization of information system applications within the Aceh Provincial Government Work Units (SKPA). The implementation method consists of several stages, including needs assessment, system development and implementation using the Agile approach, socialization and training, as well as monitoring, evaluation, and assistance. The results indicate significant improvements in system quality, information quality, and service quality. The level of system adoption increased, with user satisfaction exceeding 85%. In addition, operational efficiency improved, as evidenced by a reduction in task completion time by up to 40%. The program also enhanced the technical competencies of human resources in managing information systems. Overall, this initiative provides a meaningful contribution to digital transformation within SKPA and has the potential to be replicated in other government institutions

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge and skills in handling and preventing sports injuries through a systematic and applicable training program. The activity was conducted at SMP Negeri 18 Banda Aceh involving 30 students as participants. The method used was an educative-participatory approach through interactive lectures, demonstrations, and direct practice using the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). Data were collected through pre-test and post-test to measure students’ knowledge improvement. The results showed a significant increase in the average score from 55.3 in the pre-test to 80.7 in the post-test, representing a 46% improvement. In addition, 90% of students were able to correctly perform injury handling techniques, and the level of active participation reached 95%. These findings indicate that the training was effective in enhancing students’ understanding and practical skills. The activity also had a positive impact on students’ awareness of the importance of injury prevention in sports activities. Therefore, training on sports injury management and prevention can be an effective, safe, and sustainable strategy in physical education learning in schools.
