Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged Islamic elementary schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) to develop innovative and humanistic Islamic education learning. A joyful learning approach based on digital media and the value of love is used as an alternative way to create a pleasant and meaningful learning atmosphere. This article aims to examine the planning of Islamic education supervision in supporting the implementation of joyful learning using digital media based on love in Islamic elementary schools. This research also uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method through analysis of various relevant literature. The results of the study indicate that structured, collaborative supervision planning based on the value of compassion (rahmah) can improve the quality of learning and strengthen the Islamic character of students.

Abstract

The quality of education in Indonesia still faces various challenges, particularly related to teacher professionalism and the effectiveness of the learning process. The gap in teacher competency in integrating technology, implementing innovative methods, and conducting critical reflection demonstrates the need for a focused and sustainable development system. Educational supervision is a strategic instrument for improving learning quality through mentoring, evaluation, and professional development. This study aims to examine the sources of principals' authority in implementing supervision, the use of this authority, and the problems that arise in supervision practices in schools. Using qualitative methods through a literature review, this research synthesizes various theoretical concepts, empirical findings, and regulations related to educational supervision. The results indicate that principals' supervisory authority is legal-rational, derived from laws, implementing regulations, education policies, and employment contracts. Principals utilize this authority to carry out managerial functions, provide academic guidance, and conduct systematic learning evaluations. However, the implementation of supervision still faces obstacles such as time constraints, administrative burdens, lack of training, and an unsupportive work culture. This research confirms that strengthening regulations, improving principal competency, and implementing collaboration- and reflection-based supervision are crucial steps to optimize the quality of educational supervision in schools.

Abstract

Learning supervision is an important strategy for improving teacher performance and the quality of learning in schools. Teachers, as the main actors in the learning process, require continuous professional guidance to enhance their ability to plan, implement, and evaluate learning effectively. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning supervision in improving teacher performance in schools. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results indicate that learning supervision is implemented through interconnected stages, including planning, implementation, and follow-up. Learning supervision conducted through a collaborative and developmental approach contributes to improvements in teacher performance, particularly in lesson planning, the use of varied teaching methods, and systematic learning evaluation. Furthermore, learning supervision encourages teacher professionalism and awareness of continuous improvement in instructional practices. Therefore, well-planned and sustainable learning supervision plays a significant role in enhancing teacher performance and overall educational quality in schools.

Abstract

Islamic education is an educational system oriented toward the holistic development of human beings through the integration of spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social values. This article aims to comprehensively examine the theories and concepts of Islamic education by analyzing its definitions, objectives, and scope based on classical sources, contemporary scholarly perspectives, and findings from previous studies. This study employs a library research approach by examining the Qur’an, Hadith, classical scholarly works, academic books, and relevant national and international journal articles. The findings indicate that Islamic education functions not merely as a process of transmitting religious knowledge, but also as a medium for moral formation, intellectual development, and the strengthening of learners’ social responsibility. The concepts of tarbiyah, ta‘lim, and ta’dib serve as the foundational framework in constructing a holistic and adaptive model of Islamic education. Furthermore, this study highlights that Islamic education remains highly relevant in responding to modern challenges such as globalization and digital transformation, provided that it consistently upholds its normative Islamic values. Therefore, Islamic education needs to be developed through an integrative and contextual approach in order to produce generations who are faithful, knowledgeable, morally upright, and capable of actively participating in contemporary society.

Abstract

Mathematical communication skills are essential skills that connect students understanding of concepts with the ability to express ideas systematically. This study aims to explain the optimization of the use of Geogebra in improving students mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning. The research method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) of 10 articles published in the 2021-2025 range. The literature search strategy is carried out through the Google Scholar, Research Date, and Publish or Perish databases. The results of the analysis show that the use of Geogebra as a learning medium is effective in improving students mathematical communication skills, both verbally and in writing. Geogebra helps students to visualize abstract concepts, encourage interaction in the classroom, and increase interest in learning through dynamic mathematical objects. It is concluded that the integration of Geogebra in the mathematics learning process has a significant impact on students ability to convey mathematical ideas, both verbally and non-verbally.

Abstract

Islamic educational institutions face increasingly fierce competition, making customer satisfaction and loyalty (students and parents) key to maintaining their sustainability. This article discusses the concepts of customer satisfaction and loyalty in the context of Islamic educational services, including definitions, key dimensions, and measurement methods. The research approach utilizes a literature review from various service marketing sources and a case study of an Islamic school. The study results indicate that high service quality (including the five dimensions of SERVQUAL) plays a crucial role in increasing customer satisfaction, which in turn can build long-term loyalty. However, high satisfaction does not automatically guarantee loyalty without ongoing efforts, particularly in consistently meeting customer expectations. Customer loyalty in Islamic education is reflected not only in repeat purchasing behavior but also in positive attitudes and alignment with Islamic values such as monotheism and moral responsibility. By improving service quality and implementing regular satisfaction measurement and customer relationship management (CRM) strategies, Islamic educational institutions can strengthen customer loyalty and their competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in science learning related to the growth and development of living things in third-grade students at SDN Talang 3, and to analyze its success rate. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observation, and documentation. The implementation of PjBL was carried out through several stages: project planning, observing plant growth, recording daily data, presenting results, and conducting learning reflections. The results showed that the implementation of PjBL achieved a success rate of 90%. This performance was measured based on the achievement of learning objectives, active student involvement, collaborative skills, the quality of project results, and students' conceptual understanding. The PjBL model has been proven to improve understanding of science concepts and develop 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Although there were some technical obstacles in the project process, the teacher's role as an active facilitator successfully overcame these problems. Thus, PjBL can be implemented effectively in science learning at the elementary school level and is in accordance with the Independent Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning at SDN Beringin 1 Dasuk. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved fourth-grade IPAS teachers, school principals, and students as research subjects. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results showed that learning planning has been well-prepared according to the components of the Merdeka curriculum teaching modules, covering three competency dimensions: cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. Scientific learning strategies and inquiry learning models proved effective in increasing active involvement and student learning outcomes through observing, questioning, collecting information, associating, and communicating stages. However, implementation still faces significant challenges including imbalanced achievement of three competency dimensions with cognitive aspect dominance, paradigm shift from teacher-centered to student-centered, time constraints and classroom management issues, and limited practical facilities. Implementation success heavily depends on teacher competence in mastering innovative learning methods and designing contextual learning. This study recommends continuous teacher competency development, adequate infrastructure provision, and comprehensive support from all parties to optimize science literacy development and 21st-century competencies of students.
