Abstract

The long history that led to the conflict between India and Pakistan was based on religious differences, namely Hinduism and Islam. This article contains a discussion of religious conflicts that have occurred since British colonialism set foot in India. Colonization which resulted in violence against the natives of the Indian peninsula gave rise to a massive mass movement, but the resistance which had one mission, namely fighting colonialism, was divided due to differences in understanding of the influence of religious differences between Islam and Pakistan. The conflict between these two religions was very fierce and was exacerbated by the influence of British colonialism. This article uses a descriptive qualitative method with a historical approach. A historical approach is used to read conflict problems according to the history of the object's journey. Religious conflicts that lead to regional divisions are also influenced by complex political struggles, making this article borrow the theory put forward by social scientist Johan Galtum with the concept of conflict triangle theory. The results of the discussion in this article culminate in the attitude of religious adherents who want to avoid domination by other groups (Hindus and British colonialism) giving rise to behavioral responses that are resistant. Competition between groups separated according to religious identity as a result of British monopoly resulted in competition in the political field. The oppressive policy of colonialism required natives to take part in government so that competition occurred between high-ranking officials and each of the individuals they brought and succeeded in mobilizing a wave of masses of people who resisted and ended in violent conflict

Abstract

Islamic law is the basis for the formation of human behavior in Indonesia. The development of national law cannot be separated from the influence of Islamic law that lives in society. Research on Islamic law is very interesting to do. This library research is based on qualitative descriptive data on the history of the development of Islamic law. This study examines how the history of the development of Islamic law during the Islamic Kingdom, the colonial period, and the modern Indonesian period. The results of the study show that Islamic law in the archipelago has existed since the Islamic kingdom. The politics of king power are one of the main factors in the implementation of Islamic law. The Dutch colonialists initially accepted Islam but then Islamic law was clashed with customary law to weaken it so that Dutch law could be applied. During the Japanese occupation there was no policy that changed the validity of Islamic law, Japan focused on eliminating the remaining Dutch symbols. While in the modern Indonesian period, Islamic law is juxtaposed with positive law. The Indonesian Constitution recognizes three sources of law, namely western law, Islamic law, and customary law. Islamic law in the context of a new state can only be recognized after being made positive through legislation

Abstract

The existence of life after death is one of the things that Muslims believe in. This is something that is not only believed to be true, it is even practiced in human life throughout the world. After a person dies, all his practices are interrupted, except for 3 things. These three things include: almsgiving, useful knowledge, and prayers for pious children. Almsgiving includes all good deeds given to other people that have benefits for many people. This goodness can be material and non-material. Alms in the form of materials, for example building hospitals, schools, mosques and so on. Non-material alms can be in the form of ideas, energy and time given for the benefit of the Muslim Ummah. Useful knowledge, meaning someone who teaches other people, with this knowledge other people can do good, can get closer to God and can be put into practice in everyday life. Next, pray for a pious child. A pious child will be an obstacle for his parents from going to hell. The prayers that devout children continue to offer to their parents will slowly erase their parents' sins. Therefore, every parent competes to educate their children to become pious children. . To obtain in-depth research, this hadith was researched using the tahlili method. In the order of tracing hadith through takhrij al-hadith, sanad study and matan study. After conducting research on the sanad and matan hadith in the al-Nasa'i route, it was discovered that the sanad was of authentic quality, as was the matan. Therefore, it can be concluded that this hadith is of authentic quality. After conducting research on the practices that will not be interrupted for the dead, it was found that there are five hadith editors which are narrated with meaning. These five narrations are found in the books of Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Sunan at- Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasai and Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal. Apart from that, it was also found that each narration does not contradict the verses of the Koran and other authentic hadiths. This is the basis for determining the quality of this hadith.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the teachings, practices, rituals of the Islamic religion and explore the phenomena of syncretism and acculturation that occur between Islamic teachings and local traditions in Indonesia. This research uses library research which is sourced from books and journals related to the discussion. The results of this research show that Islam in Indonesia has gone through a long process since it was first introduced until it became the majority religion in this country. This study focuses on identifying Islamic teachings, practices and rituals in Indonesia which are influenced by various factors, including local culture, history and social interactions. The process of Islam's entry into Indonesia developed through various theories, such as Mecca, Gujarat, Persia and China theories with the main routes of spread being through trade, marriage, da'wah, Sufism, art and politics. The spread of Islam in Indonesia also involved important figures, such as Wali Songo. Apart from that, the phenomenon of syncretism and acculturation that occurs between Islamic teachings and local traditions has enriched the development of this religion, as can be seen in Islamic traditions that combine elements of local culture. Islamic education through Islamic boarding schools and other Islamic educational institutions also plays a major role in the spread of Islam and social progress in Indonesia. Contemporary, Islam in Indonesia continues to develop with the influence of modernization, technology, social media, and the challenges of extremism. Despite this, Islam in Indonesia has become an integral part of national identity and continues to make a significant contribution to Indonesian society and culture. This research provides insight into how Islam is received, practiced and adapted in Indonesia's diverse cultural context

Abstract

This research focuses on anti-corruption efforts by women within the framework of gender studies. The objective is to examine women's roles in corruption and their contributions to anti-corruption initiatives. The methodology employed is qualitative research utilizing a literature review approach. The first step involves selecting relevant sources from journals, books, and articles concerning women and anti-corruption. After gathering the literature, an analysis is conducted to understand the role of women in combating corruption, and the information is systematically organized using clear language. The findings indicate that gender equality is a proven factor in reducing corruption. Countries with higher levels of gender equality tend to have lower rates of corruption. Empowering women in public decision-making and leadership can strengthen more transparent and accountable anti-corruption systems. Women play a vital role in combating corruption not only as primary actors but also as moral advocates, encouraging society toward a cleaner, more honest, and corruption-free culture

Abstract

In the context of the Quran, the term gender refers to the concept of separation of roles, characteristics, and responsibilities between men and women based on the interpretation of sacred verses. The Quran addresses the concept of gender not only as a biological difference, but also as a complex social and spiritual construct. It emphasises the equal spiritual dignity of men and women before God, while recognising differences in function in some aspects of social and family life. The understanding of gender in the Quran has been the subject of diverse interpretations throughout Islamic history, with contemporary interpretations tending to emphasise the principles of equality and justice, while still appreciating the distinctiveness of each sex within the framework of Islamic ethics and spirituality. The study in this research uses the literature study method. The results found that; Firstly, the Quran fundamentally affirms the equality of men and women in terms of spiritual and human values. Although some traditional interpretations tend to limit the role of women, contextual and linguistic analyses of Quranic verses show that the holy book supports women's active participation in various aspects of life, including social, economic and political. Secondly, the Quran grants women a variety of progressive rights for the time, including the right to education, employment, property ownership, and marital justice. However, the implementation of these rights is often hindered by interpretations influenced by patriarchal culture and specific socio-historical contexts.
