Abstract

This research is titled "Christian Mission in the Postmodern Era: The Challenge of Relativism and Theological Responses to the Proclamation of the Gospel" aims to explore the challenges faced by the church in the context of mission amid social and cultural changes characterized by postmodern thinking. The postmodern era emphasizes relativism, where truth is considered subjective and bound to individual experience, leading to questioning and rejection of the absolute truth claims found in Christian teachings. Through a literature review, this study analyzes the dynamics of relativism and its implications for how the church proclaims the Gospel. Additionally, this research examines the appropriate theological responses to address these challenges, including the importance of contextualizing the proclamation of the Gospel, relational approaches, and interfaith dialogue. This study emphasizes that the church must develop mission strategies that are relevant and responsive to societal needs without compromising biblical truth. The findings of this research are expected to provide insights and recommendations that will be beneficial for the church and mission organizations in formulating effective approaches to reach postmodern society with an authentic and transformational message of the Gospel. Thus, this research contributes to the development of Christian missiology that is relevant in the context of a constantly changing era

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal: 1) The form of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) among VAA class students at SD Negeri 20 Kampung Lorong for the 2023-2024 academic year; 2) Stages of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) for class VA students at SD Negeri 20 Kampung Lorong for the 2023-2024 academic year; 3) Supporting and inhibiting factors for the School Literacy Movement (GLS) among class VA students at SD Negeri 20 Kampung Lorong for the 2023-2024 academic year. This research technique uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological type of research. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and data conclusion. The results of the research show that the form of the School Literacy Movement at SD Negeri 20 Kampung Lorong 2022-2023 is in the form of a daily literacy movement and a weekly literacy movement. The daily literacy movement is carried out in the classroom using textbooks (Theme), while the weekly literacy movement is carried out outside the classroom, namely in the school library using non-textbooks or story books. The stages of implementing the School Literacy Movement at SD Negeri 20 Lorong village for the 2022-2023 academic year are the habituation stage, development stage and learning stage. These stages really help the process of school literacy activities, by following these three stages so that the School Literacy Movement program is implemented well. The supporting and inhibiting factors for the School Literacy Movement at SD Negeri 20 Kampung Lorong in improving students' reading abilities for the 2022-2023 academic year are as follows: a) Supporting factors, namely, facilities and infrastructure, reading materials. b) Factors inhibiting the literacy movement are, literacy habits are not yet a priority for students, a lack of reading books or reading resources, and activities that require concentration so that students get bored easily

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal: 1) Describe the teacher's planning for using the PQ4R method to improve the reading skills of class IV students at SDN 04 Perigi Limus for the 2023-2024 school year?; 2) Describe how the PQ4R method can improve the reading ability of students in class IV at SDN 04 Perigi Limus in the 2023-2024 school year?; 3) Describe students' reading abilities after applying the PQ4R method in class IV Indonesian language lessons at SDN 04 Perigi Limus for the 2023-2024 school year? This research uses a qualitative approach and a type of classroom action research. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusions. The research results show that; 1) The planning made by the teacher uses PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review) as in general learning, such as the activity steps in the introduction, core and closing activities. Planning is designed for two cycles. The second cycle is the result of reflection with changes to the preparation of learning materials using the demonstration method. 2) Implementation of learning according to the one week reflection learning plan for PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite and Review) with reading activities from demonstrations and listening to explanations of PQ4R. Implementation of learning in cycles one and two as planned in cycle one using the PQ4R method by reading and analyzing stories in books. Based on the results of reflection by adding activities other than reading books by observing and listening to videos displayed on the projector. 3) Based on the results of the classroom action research that has been presented, the research can be concluded as follows: The use of the PQ4R method can improve students' reading skills in the subject Indonesian class IV. With the complete reading ability of students in cycle I amounting to 67,85% and in cycle II amounting to 84,52%. So, from cycle I to cycle II students' reading ability increased by 16.67%

Abstract

This study will examine the relationship between the theology of creation in the Christian tradition and environmental responsibility amidst the global ecological crisis. Ecological crises, such as climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss, have become serious challenges that require ethical and theological reflection. The Christian approach to creation emphasizes the idea that the universe is God's good work, and humans are entrusted as stewards of the earth. In this context, the study explores the concept of creation in the Bible, particularly in the book of Genesis, as well as the teachings of Christian theologians regarding the relationship between humans and nature. This research seeks to understand how human responsibility for the environment can be enhanced through theological understanding of creation, sin, and salvation. Using literature review and theological analysis methods, this study shows that Christian theology has great potential to contribute to environmental conservation efforts by emphasizing humanity's moral obligation to preserve the integrity of creation. The implication is that churches and Christian communities are expected to play an active role in advocacy and tangible actions to address the ecological crisis globally.

Abstract

Instilling Islamic educational values through routine activities in students is good because it can form an Islamic personality. Based on this statement, the focus of this study is the instillation of Islamic educational values through routine activities at the Ummul Qura Amuntai Islamic Boarding School and the purpose of this study is to determine the instillation of Islamic educational values through routine activities at the Ummul Qura Amuntai Islamic Boarding School. The type of research used in this study is field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources for this study are ustadz and ustadzah, as well as students, and data related to the problems discussed. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing uses data reduction, data display, and data verification. Furthermore, it is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the instillation of Islamic educational values through routine activities at the Ummul Qura Amuntai Islamic Boarding School carried out by students from Monday to Sunday, namely the five daily prayers in congregation, reading istighosah or special wirid, teaching and learning activities of book studies, tadarus Al-Qur'an, mudzakarah, mutala'ah, tahlilan, reading of maulid habsyi, reading burdah, ta'lim assemblies on Wednesday afternoons and evenings, gotong royong, and morning exercise. There are activities that are carried out regularly, especially in the instillation of Islamic educational values with the aim of forming Islamic habits of students. The instillation of Islamic educational values through routine activities at the Ummul Qura Amuntai Islamic Boarding School includes the values of aqidah, sharia values, and moral values as a form of forming Islamic habits and personalities of students based on the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah. So that with the instillation of Islamic educational values, especially through routine activities, it is hoped that students will be able to practice them and increase the potential of Islamic education and shape students into people who believe and are devoted to Allah SWT

Abstract

This study aims to examine the learning strategy of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on Sufism in developing the Islamic character of students at SMAN 1 Kinali. The method used is descriptive-qualitative with a case study. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that SMAN 1 Kinali applies two strategies in learning PAI based on Sufism to develop the Islamic character of students, namely: 1) Direct strategy using the targhib wa tarhib method (motivation and threat), persuasive, and 2) Indirect strategy through habituation of worship, role models, and discipline and respect for others. The application of this strategy has proven effective in forming the Islamic character of students, such as obedience to worship, honesty, discipline, and social concern

Abstract

This research examines a theological review of the impact of digitalization on the transformation of Christian spirituality. In the digital era, technological advancements have changed the way Christians worship, communicate, and access spiritual resources. The use of social media, prayer apps, and streaming platforms for virtual worship has become an increasingly common phenomenon. However, theological questions arise regarding how digitalization affects Christians' understanding and experience of their spirituality. This review discusses the challenges and opportunities the church faces in response to technological developments, as well as how fundamental Christian principles, such as community and divine presence, remain relevant in the digital world. The study also explores how digitalization can enrich but also potentially diminish the depth and intimacy of believers' relationship with God and with one another. In conclusion, the article offers perspectives on how the church and Christians can wisely adapt to the changing times without compromising the integrity of Christian spirituality

Abstract

This research aims to find out the innovations made by the event organizer Afgan Nada. organizer Afgan Nada and find out the factors supporting and inhibiting factors in making innovations by renting event organizer services organizer Afgan Nada. Form The form of research used is qualitative research. Penelitian conducted in Desa Pantenan Kecamatan Panceng Kabupaten Gresik, Java East. Data collection techniques by observation and interview. The subjects of this research are owner, staff and customers of Event organizer “New Afgan Nada”. The innovation carried out by the “New Afgan Nada” event organizer service rental centers on improving service quality, providing an unforgettable experience and utilizing technology. The main supporting factors in making innovations in the rental of “New Afgan Nada” event organizer services include leadership, well-established team solidity, and an extensive network of relationships. However, on the other hand, there are some inhibiting factors, such as cost investment, fierce market competition, limited internal resources and changing opinions or ideas.

Abstract

This research explores the phenomenon of thuggery at Carocok Beach, Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra, and its impact on visitor comfort. Using a narrative review method, this research collects and analyzes data from various literature sources to provide a comprehensive picture of the culture of thuggery and its effects. The research results show that thuggery in this coastal area is characterized by acts of extortion, intimidation and physical violence by certain individuals or groups, which not only disturbs local residents but also disturbs the comfort of tourists. The impacts include a decrease in the number of tourists, a negative image of the area, economic losses, diversion of tourist destinations, reduced investment, and psychological impacts on tourists. This research recommends strict law enforcement, community empowerment, improving infrastructure quality, and socio-economic programs as strategic steps to overcome thuggery and support sustainable tourism development on Carocok Beach
