Abstract

Education is a basic need for every human being. The aim of education is to shape humans so they are able to adapt in their lives, by developing the various potentials that exist within them. In the educational process, various views are faced, including understanding related to secular thinking in the world of education. In this paper the author will discuss and criticize secular education. Education in the current era is experiencing various challenges ranging from secularism to implementing the noble values of religious teachings in social life. Muslims are very pragmatic, and even tend to be opportunistic. Secular Ideas in today's life are presented and packaged in a beautiful way through globalization and modernization, which is in line with the development of Western civilization. Secularism is an ideology that seeks to eliminate religious values that originate from revelation in world life, or separate religious life from the world which is actually different from the aim of education, namely forming a pious human spirit

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of applying Islamic values and principles in the context of organizational management, specifically the role and responsibilities of a manager. Adopting a qualitative approach, this study analyzes the concept of management from an Islamic perspective and how it can be implemented in day-to-day managerial practices. Through in-depth interviews and literature review, this research identifies relevant and profound principles of Islamic management and evaluates how managers can integrate these values into their decision-making and operational actions. The Islamic approach to management is elucidated through concepts such as justice, business ethics, value-based leadership, and social responsibility. The findings of this research are expected to provide new insights into the significance of the Islamic approach in the context of modern management. Practical implications include guidance for managers to understand and implement Islamic management principles within their frameworks, aiming to strengthen the quality of decision-making and enhance the balance between organizational goals and the high moral values upheld in Islam

Abstract

The development of technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in Christian Religious Education. The use of technology in religious learning can increase the effectiveness of delivering material, enrich learning methods, and help students understand Christian values more interactively. Various innovations, such as digital Bible applications, learning videos, virtual classes, and artificial intelligence (AI), provide opportunities for students to explore Bible teachings in a more modern way. However, the use of technology also has challenges, such as distractions, the spread of information that is not in accordance with Christian teachings, and the digital divide in some regions. Therefore, an optimization strategy is needed through digital literacy based on Christian faith, choosing the right platform, and monitoring its use. With a good strategy, technology can be a means to support the growth of students' faith and character in living their lives according to the teachings of Christ

Abstract

Providing learning modules that are in line with developments in information and technology in the basics of building construction is a current need that has been studied a lot through research. This research aims to determine the need for developing modules on the basics of building construction subject through descriptive qualitative research methods with a literature study approach chosen according to the urgency of the existing case. The data sources are in the form of previous research, journals and books which were selected based on the relevance of the material, namely the need for developing modules in learning and teaching activities on the basics of building construction. The results of the research based on the selected data show that the need for developing modules in the basics of building construction subject is that the appearance and content of the material are arranged attractively, the learning material is structured concisely and is easy to understand, and the media used is interactive learning media that can involve students. directly

Abstract

This research discusses the importance of education in developing students' potential, especially in Vocational High Schools (SMK) with a focus on the Building Modeling and Information Design (DPIB) department which teaches Building Interior Software Applications (APLIB) using the Sketchup application. The aim of the research is to overcome the low scores in the APLIB subject which are thought to be caused by students' lack of creativity in using the Sketchup application. The method proposed to increase student creativity is Project Based Learning (PjBL), which places students at the center of learning and encourages them to work independently in solving tasks or problems. The results of the literature review show that PjBL can increase student creativity by promoting understanding, students' ability to solve problems, use of media, and creativity in creating products. PjBL can also increase student involvement in learning and help them become autonomous and independent learners. Apart from that, the implementation of PjBL is expected to help vocational school students produce creative ideas using the Sketchup application and improve their abilities in solving problems and optimizing media use. This research concludes that the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) in vocational education, especially in the context of using the Sketchup application and developing building interior design skills, can have a positive impact in improving students' creative thinking abilities

Abstract

In the 21st century, learners are not merely recipients of information, educators are not solely facilitators of learning, and learning resources encompass more than materials for the exchange of knowledge and skills. However, in practice, eflective implementation of learning is not straightforward. Engineering Drawing 1 is one of the compulsory foundational courses in the early semester of the Building Engineering Education Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta. One of the learning objectives of this course is mastery of CAD (Computer Aided Design). Nevertheless, various factors contribute to challenges in achieving the course objectives. The encountered difficulties are divided into two factors: internal factors including Motivation, Interest, Attitude, and Concentration, and external factors including Facilities and Infrastructure, Learning Materials or Media, Economic, and Environment. This research adopts a descriptive analysis approach focusing on quantitative aspects. The study was conducted on March 25-26, 2024. The research subjects consisted of 35 students from the 2022 cohort of the Building Engineering Education Program. The questionnaire results indicate that external factors are predominant, with material aspects accounting for 31.4% and economic aspects for 45.7%. Although internal and external factors do not show significant results individually, both still influence the learning of Engineering Drawing 1. Therefore, it can be concluded that further analysis is needed regarding the learning difficulties of Engineering Drawing 1 in the Building Engineering Education Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in the context of education, particularly in Mechanical Engineering subjects. Its aim is to enhance students’ understanding of Mechanical Engineering concepts and identify its positive impact on learning outcomes. The method employed is literature review, involving data collection and analysis from various literature sources. The study demonstrates that PBL significantly benefits students’ learning outcomes across different educational contexts. Several studies support the notion that PBL improves students’ critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and collaborative abilities in understanding Mechanical Engineering concepts. These findings provide a robust foundation for the development and implementation of PBL in education, including vocational high schools and Mechanical Engineering subjects. The conclusion drawn is that PBL is an effective learning approach, especially in the context of Mechanical Engineering education, by engaging students in solving real-life problems. Therefore, the adoption of PBL is expected to enhance overall educational quality and better prepare students for the increasingly complex demands of the future workforce. Suggestions for further research include continuously developing and testing innovative teaching methods, including PBL, and enhancing collaboration and supportive educational policies. Regular evaluation of teaching method effectiveness is also crucial to ensure learning objectives are achieved. It is anticipated that this research will make a significant contribution to the advancement of education in the future

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' reading skills through the use of letter cards at SDK Joge. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive type with data collection methods in the form of observation, documentation interviews. The subjects in this research were all students at SDK Joge. The results of this research show that learning activities using letter cards for grade 2 students at SDK Joge have increased. This can be seen from the results of observations that there are several students who have difficulty reading. Reading difficulties in grade 2 students are caused by students who cannot yet distinguish letters of the alphabet, for example "F", "V". Apart from that, students are not yet able to read letters well and students are still unsure about pronouncing or pronouncing the letters designated by the teacher. Based on this problem, researchers used letter cards to improve students' reading skills  at  SDK  Joge  with  assessment  aspects  in  the  form  of  arranging  A-Z  letter cards,recognizing and pronouncing or pronouncing letters correctly, arranging letter cards into words and spelling words. After carrying out learning activities using letter cards, there was an increase, namely from 16 students in class 2, initially there were 5 students who were able to read, now after learning using cards, there has been an increase to 14 students who can read well, and 2 students still need teacher assistance

Abstract

This study aims to identify the social competence of teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Qur'an Kariman and its impact on the learning environment. The study used a qualitative approach with observation and interview methods, which allowed researchers to capture teachers' social interactions directly with students, colleagues, and parents. The observation results show that teachers in this madrasah have good communication skills and high empathy, which creates a conducive classroom atmosphere and supports students' character development. In addition, cooperation among teachers is harmonious, which strengthens the positive working climate in the madrasah environment. Teachers also use a mediation approach in handling conflicts between students, and actively communicate with parents to support student development. Overall, teachers' social competence in this madrasah plays an important role in supporting a holistic learning process and students' overall development
