Abstract

Rhizomes (Zingiberaceae) are modified plant stems that grow horizontally beneath the soil surface and can produce shoots and new roots from their nodes. Rhizome plants (Zingiberaceae) are known as ginger or spice plants. This research article discusses the identification of rhizome plant species using Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm with VGG19 architecture, involving a total of 10 classes of data samples. The rhizome images underwent data preprocessing, resizing them from 500 x 500 to 200 x 200 pixels. During the model design phase, three different scenarios were tested, considering variations in dataset proportions, number of epochs, and batch sizes. The results of the three scenarios showed that the second scenario performed the best, achieving an accuracy of 90%, a loss of 0.285, precision of 93%, recall of 89%, and F1-Score of 91%. The first scenario obtained an accuracy of 88%, and the third scenario achieved an accuracy of 82%. However, when applying the model to test images and achieving the highest accuracy of 90% during training, the accuracy dropped to 40% when evaluated on 100 testing data. This drop in accuracy can be attributed to several factors, including noise in the dataset used and insufficient amount of training data, leading to the model being less effective in learning and recognizing data patterns.

Abstract

Financial literacy at an early age is widely recognized as a critical component in shaping responsible economic behavior and fostering long-term financial well-being. This study explores the implementation of a “Save and Create Piggy Bank” program conducted at SDN 1 Pupus on August 19, 2025, involving 47 elementary school students over a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. The program was designed to increase children’s awareness of the importance of saving and to cultivate practical saving habits through an interactive and hands-on approach. During the activity, students received counseling on financial responsibility, the value of money, and the benefits of saving for future needs. Following the counseling session, students engaged in a creative exercise by decorating and personalizing their own piggy banks, which provided a tangible medium to apply the concepts they had learned. Observations indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding of saving, enhanced creativity and engagement in the activity, and a demonstrated motivation to maintain regular saving habits beyond the session. The findings suggest that integrating financial education with practical, experiential learning can effectively enhance children’s financial literacy while simultaneously promoting positive behavioral changes. Furthermore, such initiatives may serve as a model for schools and community programs aiming to strengthen financial awareness and responsible money management skills from an early age. This study underscores the importance of early intervention and experiential learning in developing the foundational competencies necessary for lifelong financial capability.

Abstract

Over the past few decades, rapid advances in information technology have brought about significant changes in the way people interact, communicate, and manage data. Conversely, these advancements have been accompanied by an increase in threats to computer network security. In this article, we will explore various aspects of computer network security, ranging from the most common types of threats, available protection technologies, to methods for successfully implementing security systems. This study collects, analyzes, and synthesizes various relevant scientific sources from Indonesian national journals published over the past five years (2021–2025). The findings indicate that cyber threats such as DDoS attacks, malware, brute force attacks, and SQL injection are increasingly prevalent, necessitating a layered approach to building network security systems. In the contemporary network security ecosystem, firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), Virtual Private Networks (VPN), data encryption, and penetration testing are essential. The conclusion of this article is that network security is not a product, but a process that must be updated and adapted in line with the evolution of cyber threats.

Abstract

The development of information technology over the past decade has demanded a massive restructuring of computer network architecture. Infrastructure that previously focused solely on local area network (LAN) connectivity has now radically transformed into a hybrid ecosystem that integrates cloud computing, Software-Defined Networking (SDN) infrastructure, billions of 5G-enabled Internet of Things (IoT) devices, and demands a layered cybersecurity architecture powered by artificial intelligence (AI). This article aims to present a comprehensive literature review of three key pillars of modern computer networks: (1) performance optimization through automated bandwidth management and AI-driven QoS implementation; (2) network convergence and scalability to accommodate IoT devices in the agriculture, civil infrastructure, and logistics sectors; and (3) cybersecurity risk mitigation amidst an expanding attack surface. Using a systematic literature review, this study identifies that the implementation of intelligent traffic management not only reduces latency but also maintains stability (throughput). Furthermore, IoT integration requires 5G connectivity and lightweight communication protocols for high availability. This increased interconnectivity has serious implications for cyber resilience, urgently requiring the implementation of Zero Trust architecture, machine learning-based intrusion detection, and regular encryption system updates. This article provides a strong theoretical foundation for the development of future network infrastructure while highlighting the importance of preparing human resources through vocational education in information technology.

Abstract

Quality of Service (QoS) is a key indicator in evaluating the effectiveness of a computer network infrastructure. This article presents a systematic literature review regarding the technical performance comparison of Star, Bus, and Ring topologies, focusing on throughput, latency, and packet loss parameters. The analysis was conducted on 30 scientific sources covering both conventional and modern network simulations, such as Software Defined Network (SDN). The results of data synthesis show that Star topology dominates in transmission stability at low to medium loads with an average throughput value of 94.5 Mbps. However, Ring topology shows superior performance in programmed network environments (SDN) and high redundancy scenarios. Bus topology, although economical, experiences significant QoS degradation as data traffic load increases. This study provides technical guidance for network designers in optimizing architecture based on specific performance demands.
