Abstract

This article aims to describe the impact of students' understanding of translation techniques to produce quality translations. The method used is a semi-experimental method by giving a pretest and posttest in the form of two English source texts of technology that are considered quite familiar to students. First, students were given a pretest to determine students' initial abilities before being given material about translation techniques. Then, before doing the posttest, students were given an understanding of translation techniques. After that, students were given a posttest to see their understanding of the use of translation techniques to produce quality translations. This research is a case study that applies a qualitative approach using content analysis techniques. An important result of this study is the understanding of translation techniques by using the appropriate translation techniques has an impact on quality translation based on three indicators of quality translation: accurate, natural, and acceptable in the culture of the target readers.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangan teknologi informasi mengharuskan arsip diolah secara elektronik. Arsip elektronik memiliki peranan penting dalam sistem administrasi. Arsip elektronik merupakan arsip yang dibuat, dikomunikasikan, disimpan, yang dapat diakses melalui perangkat teknologi.  Tujuan penulisan karya ilmiah ini adalah untuk menjelaskan tentang konsep dan cara mengelola arsip elektronik secara konseptual. Dalam karya tulis ilmiah ini metode penulisan yang penulis gunakan adalah studi pustaka. Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian, penulis dapat menyimpulkan bahwa dalam mengelola arsip elektronik tentu membutuhkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan khusus dalam tata kelola kearsipan ditambah dengan pengetahuan komputer atau teknologi informasi. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya kolaborasi yang baik antara arsiparis sebagai tenaga profesional kearsipan dengan programmer sebagai tenaga profesional komputer untuk menciptakan sistem pengelolaan arsip elektronik yang baik dengan penciptaan dan penyimpanan, distribusi dan penggunaan, pemeliharaan, dan disposisi. Dalam pengelolaan arsip elektronik yang kompeten sangat membutuhkan sumber daya manusia untuk dapat terus mengembangkan arsip elektronik agar mudah ditemukan apabila diperlukan sehingga bermanfaat baik pada saat dibutuhkan atau pada masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

This paper explores the potential of Instagram as a powerful tool for promoting local brands examines the effect of the source credibility dimension, which includes expertise, trustworthiness, and attractiveness, on purchase intention through online engagement as an intervening factor. Local businesses need recognition from around. There needs to be an intermediary to introduce local businesses to fashion consumers. The results show that the dimension of source credibility digital influences Purchase Intention and Online Engagement, and the relationship between Online Engagement as an intervening variable can mediate partially. This study's main findings are implications from source credibility dimensions that can create purchase intention without online engagement., with a specific focus on the influential role of digital influencer in driving authenticity and innovation.

Abstract

In the face of the VUCA age, a generation with critical thinking, analytical and inventive thinking is required. As a result, the purpose of this research is to address the issues of the period of how new media as a digital age learning material for the VUCA era. Using the review materials, it is possible to conclude that in this VUCA era, new interactive learning media that may promote It is necessary for students to have analytical, critical, and creative thinking. Further research is planned to be able to create interactive learning material due to new media that includes discussion places for students and teachers.

Abstract

Jambi Province is one of many provinces in Indonesia which has same cultural heritage as Malay with its original culture, this made the Government of Jambi Province want to preserve the Malay culture as the identity of Jambi, one of the traditions is Seloko. Jambi Malay traditional Seloko is the expressions that contain messages, advice, tips, and valuable advice morals, as well as a means of coercion and norms which used proverbs, words, pantun and figurative words. The purpose of this article are to describe the digital preservation of Seloko Adat Tradition in Jambi which is rarely to fine nowadays, it describes the challenges, struggles and gaps with the expertise related to this area. The method of the research is descriptive analytical study along with the observations concerning digital preservation support available. The digital preservation in this article delivers the snapshot of the government, academician, librarian, community, language office and Lembaga Adat already done in order to maintain the collection so everyone can learn and study about the Seloko Tradition Adat in Jambi Province.

Abstract

This research aims to explore how social presence in Live streaming influences impulse buying through the emotional states of arousal and pleasure, based on the S-O-R (Stimulus-Organism-Response) framework. The object of this research is TikTok Live streaming Shop consumers aged 18 years and over. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire via google form. The sample used in this research was 200 respondents using the SEM method assisted by AMOS 22 software. The results showed that there was an influence of the social presence of broadcasters, the social presence of Live streaming on arousal and pleasure. While the results of the social presence of viewers on arousal have an effect, but have no effect on pleasure. Then the results of arousal and pleasure affect impulse buying of TikTok Live streaming Shop consumers. The benefit that can be obtained from the results of this research is that it can help TikTok live streamer to increase their sales by applying the concept of social presence and consumer emotional factors.  Because it can make sales on Live streaming more attractive and convenient for consumers.

Abstract

Tourism Area life cycle analysis is one of the steps in determining the right strategic steps in developing tourism objects. Based on the observations that have been made, Sumberpakem tourism has experienced ups and downs despite repeated revitalization. The number of visits is not significant, and even once dropped to a no-tourist phase. The concern is, without proper countermeasures, tourism in SumberPakem will be in a decline phase. The decline phase according to Buttler (2011) is the stage where the destination starts to get saturated, visitors start to get bored so that visits start to show a significant decrease and discontinue. Therefore a research is needed to formulate the right strategy in developing SumberPakem tourism. However, so far no study or research has been conducted. The specific objective of this study is to determine the position of the tourism area life cycle of the SumberPakemtourism area so that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats can be analyzed. The result of this analysis is the formulation of prioritized strategies for sustainable tourism development at SumberPakem. The theory used in this study is the Tourism Area Life Cycle to develop strategy for developing tourist attractions and sustainable tourism. A qualitative descriptive analysis technique was applied to identify data in the form of natural, cultural and man-made potential in SumberPakem. The data were collected by doing a participatory observation technique. The analysis was done by using the Tourism Area Life Cycle theory to identify tourism potential and determine the position of tourism development, and then continued with a SWOT matrix analysis to formulate a tourism development strategy based on its development position.

Abstract

As one of the most corrupt countries in Southeast Asia, Indonesia needs to take preventive steps. One of them is by providing anti-corruption education to the younger generation. Anti-corruption education is needed to improve human resources in the current VUCA era. Anti-corruption education is given to students because youth are the future of the country and nation. One function of the basic sociological concept is the medium of communication. As Löw said, distant spaces and different spaces can be combined through the verbal and visual contact provided by telecommunications technology. Now we live together with gadgets and digital media, one of which the public is interested in is podcasts. Podcasts are not limited by space and time, so they can be accessed by the public. The podcast project was created so that students, who are the younger generation, are aware of issues of corruption in everyday life. This study aims to analyze podcasts as an anti-corruption educational medium for youth. This study uses qualitative analysis with a case study approach. The results of the study show that anti-corruption education through podcasts is of interest to the younger generation. The podcast project as an anti-corruption education medium is one of the right preventive steps to improve the quality of human resources. Podcast projects carried out by youth can be disseminated to the public to increase public awareness regarding corruption.

Abstract

Human’s need is basic things to provide on. But as the times growing up, the needs of human are growing as well and becoming more expensive, having more values and if its possible following the global trend. And to fulfill those needs,people will find the difficulties as their income would be insufficient. As the result, people start to find new ways to fulfill their needs and one of the easiest way in this digital era is by having the online loan. This article studied about the online loan at perspective of Positive Law and also Islamic Law. The study itself was using normative study with statutory approach and doctrinal approach. And the result of the study showed that the online loan at perspective of positivie law is one of the vital things to be regulated on and put their existence in the OJK or Otoritas Jasa Keuangan so people can safely doing the online loans in the protectiaon of state. As in the Islamic Law, the online loan is becoming the things that could not be done because it is prohibited and the prohibition has been stated also by the MUI.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the behavior of Open University students as consumers related to service complaints within UT Kupang. This study aims to identify and analyze: (1) the quality of complaint handling services at UT Kupang in terms of student behavior and level of satisfaction as consumers; (2) What things need to be done by UT Kupang to increase the speed of service for complaints submitted by students as consumers. The data used in this research is primary data. Primary data was obtained by distributing questionnaires to respondents according to a predetermined sample. the average value of the quality of complaint handling services at UT Kupang seen from students' perceptions is in the appropriate/very high category. But overall, UT students still perceive the quality of complaint handling services at UT Kupang to be poor, because the complaint handling services received or in fact are lower than what students expect. To improve complaint handling services at UT Kupang, all aspects need improvement because they have a negative average gap value.
