Abstract

This study discusses the marketing communication style carried out by Sri Wahyuni celebrities when endorsing various local products through social media and Instagram. Online business nowadays, attracts attention, especially among the youth. So that advertising is done online. This study aims to determine the communication style shown by Sri Wahyuni celebrities in promoting products. The results of this study show that the communication style of Sri Wahyuni celebrities in product endorsements on Instagram is: (1) medok (accent), Sri Wahyuni has an accent with a thick Makassar accent. (2) chatty, which is characterized by talkativeness. (3) Detail Oriented, characterized by communication in detail explaining something at length but neatly arranged. (4) effective, which is characterized by communication in a language that is easy to understand by Sri Wahyuni's followers. This research uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods. Primary data was obtained from Sri Wahyuni celebgram, @galleryshop owner, @nasiudukhauna.id manager, and followers of Sri Wahyuni celebgram. Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation methods. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman's interactive methods of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions.

Abstract

This thesis discusses "producer strategies in maintaining the Jappa-Jappa program on Sinjai Tv" by raising two substantive problems, namely: 1). What actions did the producers take to maintain the Jappa-Jappa program on Sinjai Tv? 2). What challenges do producers face in maintaining the Jappa-Jappa broadcast program on Sinjai Tv. This research aims to determine the actions taken by the Jappa-Jappa producer and the challenges faced in maintaining the Jappa-Jappa program on Sinjai TV. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data sources for this research are primary data sources and secondary data. The data collection techniques used were observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this research are, firstly, the producer of Jappa-Jappa first carried out careful planning before starting the production process, then determined the target audience so that this program was right on target, namely the general public, and used another strategy, namely narrowing down the target object by raising the theme Friendly Village. Second, the challenges or inhibiting factors in the Jappa-Jappa program production process are the lack of funding, lack of infrastructure, and limited human resources. This research implies that funding for the Jappa-Jappa program should be made sufficient so that the production process of this program is not hampered, Sinjai TV, especially producers, must procure adequate infrastructure such as cameras needed by the producer and team, for human resources that Sinjai lacks. TV must add members or employees so that each person works according to their respective duties and no longer needs to work on all existing programs.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to: (1) Understand the stages of news production in the online media Detiksulsel, and (2) Understand the presentation of news in the online media Detiksulsel. This research uses a qualitative approach, with primary data sources namely chief editors, news editors, reporters and expert observers. Meanwhile, secondary data is various information obtained from books or references. Data collection methods are observation, interviews and documentation. The research instruments used cameras, notebooks, writing instruments, recording equipment and interview guides. Data analysis techniques use data reduction methods, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that (1) The Detiksulsel online media news production process goes through three stages, namely: a) Pre-production, at this stage the activities carried out are editorial meetings to determine news issues, search for information, and supporting data regarding related news coverage, b ) Production, at this stage the activities carried out by the reporter are collecting information and compiling the news script at the location of the incident quickly and precisely before editing by the news editor, c) Post-production, at this stage the editor is tasked with carrying out verification to see the accuracy and balance of news coverage. After checking and the news manuscript has been verified, the news editor uploads the news on the Detiksulsel website and social media. (2) Presentation of news on Detiksulsel online media, namely: a) Providing online media reporting channels, namely news, football, culture, tourism, culinary, business, South Sulawesi, law and crime. b) Applying the concept of real time news. The implications of this research recommend that Detiksulsel online media be able to realize its vision and mission so that the media's function as social control is realized as well as being a means of sharing knowledge for the sake of public intelligence as one of the functions of mass media. In the academic aspect, academics are expected to further develop competition and convergence of online media and print media. keywords: media production, news, mass media, online media

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana peran media sosial Instagram @Urbanations dalam menyediakan informasi bagi komunitas Scooter Makassar @Santairingan. Penelitian ini memecah permasalahan menjadi beberapa sub-masalah, yaitu: 1) Bagaimana penggunaan akun Instagram @urbanation sebagai sumber informasi bagi Komunitas Scooter Makassar @Santairingan? 2) Bagaimana kontribusi media sosial Instagram @urbanation dalam menyediakan informasi kepada Komunitas Scooter Makassar @Santairingan?. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian lapangan yang berdasarkan pada observasi dan pengumpulan fakta-fakta sosial yang dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa: 1) Penggunaan akun @Urbanation oleh komunitas scooter Santai Ringan Makassar memiliki peranan kunci dalam membangun ikatan sosial dan melestarikan tradisi scooter klasik. Rekomendasi pribadi dan konten informatif dari akun tersebut menarik pengikutnya, menjadikannya sebagai sumber utama informasi tentang perawatan, suku cadang, dan acara komunitas. Selain itu, akun ini mendorong partisipasi aktif, memberikan panduan praktis, dan memiliki peran signifikan dalam mendukung pemeliharaan scooter serta keberlanjutan komunitas di era digital. 2) Akun ini berfungsi sebagai sumber informasi utama mengenai scooter bagi para pengikutnya, yang bertindak sebagai pemelihara tradisi dalam komunitas. Akun Instagram @Urbanation juga berperan sebagai sumber informasi berkala mengenai perawatan, memberikan tips, dan informasi mengenai suku cadang langka. Selain itu, @Urbanation juga menjadi sumber informasi mengenai acara komunitas, membantu dalam penyebaran informasi tentang kegiatan-kegiatan komunitas scooter. Melalui penelitian ini, penulis menyarankan agar Akun @Urbanation mempertimbangkan untuk mengembangkan konten edukatif yang lebih rinci, seperti tutorial perbaikan, guna membantu pemilik scooter merawat kendaraan mereka dengan lebih baik

Abstract

The focus of this research is to find out Anshar Akil Channel's strategy in creating content on YouTube and find Anshar Akil Channel's tips for maintaining the quality of learning content in the face of competition for similar content on YouTube. Using a qualitative approach, this research uses a character study model focusing on the Anshar Akil Channel strategy in creating learning content on YouTube. The data collection methods are through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in four stages: data classification, data reduction, data description, and conclusions. The results of this research show that Anshar Akil Channel's first problem formulation did not carry out large-scale research, only reading books or journals if there was new material that had not been mastered because Anshar Akil had worked as a lecturer for 16 years so the course material was taught. have mastered a lot. Anhsar Akil Channel uses today's technology and designs learning content that is simple without much variation so that the points conveyed can be conveyed directly. Anshar Akil Channel specializes in targeting students only for educational purposes. To improve the quality of content, Anshar Akil always learns new things about YouTube and continues to hone his skills. The second problem formulation shows that Anhsar Akil always learns new things to maintain the quality of content and always analyzes similar content so that the resulting content remains relevant. Anshar Akil always carries out personal branding so that the audience knows more about the Anshar Akil Channel YouTube account and always provides feedback to the audience to increase engagement.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the application of clickbait in the viral rubric at Fajar.co.id and the editorial policy regarding clickbait titles in Fajar.co.id's viral rubric. This research falls into the category of qualitative research by applying the case study analysis method. Data management and evaluation methods involve data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. A document study is a data source that includes material from specific documents. In addition, the tools used in this study involved smartphones and laptops as test or validation tools. The number of informants involved in the context of this study was five people, consisting of four individuals from the Fajar.co.id website editing group (including a chief editor, two editors, and a reporter) and an expert informant who is also the Litigation Division of LBH Pers Makassar. The results showed that 1) The application of clickbait headlines in the viral section at Fajar.co.id has several concepts, namely, exaggeration, teasing, inflammatory, and the use of excessive punctuation in headlines. The application of clickbait in the rubric at Fajar.co.id clickbait is now a current demand because it is related to their income. 2). The editorial provisions regarding clickbait titles on viral rubrics at Fajar.co.id are that the editorial staff conducts news planning by discussing something viral on social media that directly gives the issue. Then, make a title that can attract readers while still following journalistic rules. Furthermore, reporters conduct coverage by looking for additional data on the issues being worked on from social media. From that planning, the reporter develops it into news.

Abstract

This research has the main aim of finding out how Islamic interpersonal communication is between coaches and fencing athletes at the IPASS Fencing Club, South Sulawesi. This research uses a descriptive qualitative type using a case study approach. The data sources are primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The research results show that communication between coaches and athletes at IPASS applies to Islamic interpersonal communication. The Islamic interpersonal communication used is Qaulan Sadidan or correct words, Qaulan Maysura or polite words, Qaulan Layyina or gentle communication, Qaulan Karima or noble words, Qaulan Ma'rufa or wise words, and Qaulan Baligha or words with clear meaning. The implications of this research are expected for all athletes and coaches when they want to carry out communication, both verbal and non-verbal, to see and implement effective communication because there are often disturbances, whether environmental, psychological, or other disturbances. This interference causes the message to not be conveyed properly to the communicant. Therefore, during the process of conveying the message, it is necessary to include Islamic communication methods.

Abstract

This research discusses the reception of the village community Tompotikka regarding reporting on political issues in the presidential election on Metro TV. The objective of this research is to identify the acceptance of the village community Tompotikka regarding reporting on political issues in the presidential election on Metro TV news This research uses a qualitative approach using the reception analysis method. Reception analysis is carried out in two stages, namely text analysis using Teun Van Dijk's model of critical discourse analysis knowing the trend in the content of Metro TV news texts regarding political issues 2024 Presidential Election. The second stage, reception analysis of Stuart's encoding and decoding Hall model, is to determine the position of audience acceptance of the reporting text Political issues for the 2024 Presidential Election on Metro TV news. Source of data in analysis The text of this research is the text of the Metro TV report on the program "Primetime News” edition The data collection technique for text analysis is using an analysis document, the data used is Teun van Dijk's data analysis model analyze text based on text dimensions, social cognition, and social context. The results of text analysis in this research describe the message delivered by Metro TV to the public regarding the political issue of the 2024 Presidential Election. Based on two reports that have been analyzed in text analysis from This research, Responding to this, the five informants tended to be different in responding to the political issues of the 2024 Presidential Election which is made possible by the existence of a diversity of cultural backgrounds, education, environment and experience that they have. The results of the reception analysis showed that the five informants In interpreting the message conveyed, tend to be in a dominant position hegemonic, namely fully agreeing with the message conveyed by Metro Tv, as well as the negotiated position which is the condition in which the informant accepted part of Metro Tv's news text and rejected its application part of the text of the announcement that was broadcast. In this study, no informants are in an oppositional position and are changing meaningfully contained in the text reporting political issues in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to examine how Detik.com frames reporting related to the child-free issue during February 2023. Additionally, it aims to understand the bias in reporting the child-free issue on Detik.com online media. The type of research used is qualitative descriptive with a data management method of framing analysis. The framing analysis used in this study is based on Robert M. Entman's model, which includes four elements: define the problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgments, and treatment recommendations. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Detik.com's framing of the child-free issue emphasizes defining the problem by including responses from key figures related to the issue, such as the head of BKKBN and Vice President Ma'ruf Amin. The reporting aims to show disapproval of the childfree lifestyle choice. Detik.com provides strong reasons from various perspectives, including health and religious impacts. Additionally, Detik.com also offers solution recommendations for individuals who wish to delay having children or discuss with their partners. 2) Detik.com tends to provide reporting that is against the childfree lifestyle choice, involving figures like the head of BKKBN, Ma'ruf Amin, and Luqman Hakim highlighting the importance of having offspring in marriage. Out of the five news articles presented, most of them oppose childfree. Therefore, Detik.com's bias in reporting on the childfree issue is to provide responses that disagree with that choice. The implications of this research are that Detik.com and researchers share the same hope to improve the quality of reporting in online media. Detik.com is expected to continue committing to delivering messages clearly, providing necessary clarifications, and ensuring the presence of relevant and competent sources in every report. Meanwhile, researchers suggest that future studies be more selective in choosing significant and impactful news to provide more relevant and beneficial analysis, especially in the context of framing analysis in online media reporting. By focusing on news that has a significant impact on society, it is hoped that understanding and the quality of information presented can be enhanced.

Abstract

This study presents two items of problem formulation, namely: first, the pattern of communication between coaches and athletes of Taekwondo UKM UIN Alauddin Makassar in improving achievement. Second, what are the inhibiting factors between coaches and athletes of Taekwondo at UKM UIN Alauddin Makassar? This research uses qualitative methods with a communication approach and is discussed descriptively. Primary data was obtained from Taekwondo UKM coaches and athletes UIN Alauddin Makassar. Data collection is used through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of this study show that: first, the applied communication pattern involves all channels or all team members, where coaches can interact with all athletes to respect each other and create training spirit for increased performance. It involves providing direction and motivation both during practice and when facing the championship. Communication patterns also include wheel patterns and circle patterns at the training stage that occur between the coach and the athlete. Second, coaches and athletes have faced various obstacles, including obstacles in the communication process such as difficulties in sending messages, obstacles in encoding symbols, language barriers, and difficulties faced by message recipients. In addition, they also face obstacles in training, obstacles in championships, semantic barriers, and psychological barriers.
