Abstract

This research focuses on gender discrimination in the film "Yuni" with the aim of (1) Finding out the meaning of the denotation and connotation of gender discrimination contained in the film "Yuni". (2) To find out the form of representation of gender discrimination in the film "Yuni".This research uses qualitative methods with semiotic analysis in order to make it easier to analyze symbols/signs in films. Data collection was carried out by watching the film "Yuni" and conducting documentation as research material, then analyzing data from the footage that had been collected using the semiotics model of Roland Barthes. The results showed that in the film "Yuni" there are several forms of gender discrimination experienced by women. The gender discrimination that occurs in this film is largely influenced by the thick patriarchal culture in Indonesian social life, especially in rural areas. The form of gender discrimination representation contained in Yuni is divided into five actions, namely stereotypes, marginalization, subordination, physical violence, and psychological violence. In addition, there are also two forms of behavior that can be categorized as gender discrimination, namely linking between virginity and morals, female stigma, and sexuality.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is what is the strategy of the Nahdatul Ulama Student Association in tackling juvenile delinquency in Pinrang City. Then it is formulated into several sub-problems, namely: What is the role of the Nahdatul Ulama Student Association in Overcoming Juvenile Delinquency in Pinrang City? What is the Strategy of the Nahdatul Ulama Student Association in Overcoming Juvenile Delinquency in Pinrang City? This type of research is qualitative using a da'wah management approach. The data sources for this research were primary data sources and secondary data sources. The informants included the Chairperson of the Pinrang branch of IPNU, the General Secretary of IPNU, IPNU Daily Executives, and Members of IPNU. The data collection method is (Observation) observation (Interview) and documentation. Then the data processing techniques used are data reduction, data display, comparative analysis, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Pinrang branch of the IPNU played a very important role in fostering the morale of Pinrang City Youth amidst technological developments and promiscuity. Which has been a form of moral development for generations by conducting cadre as a form of IPNU successor relay. and has a superior program, namely an anti-drug workshop. Carrying out moral development for generations Pinrang City has strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities from an internal and external perspective. The implications of this research are: 1). It is hoped that IPNU administrators in Pinrang City will always continue to be committed to fostering juvenile delinquency among children, bearing in mind that children are the next generation of hope for the nation. 2). It is hoped that the government of Pinrang City can work together with the board of IPNU Pinrang City in fostering children's morals in accordance with the Al-Quran and Ahlu Sunnah Wal-jama'ah. For the sake of the realization of easy intellectual and religious generations.

Abstract

This research focuses on cinematography techniques through visual disclosure. This study aims to find out the narrative camera technique used in the documentary film "Bara (The Flame)", knowing the message of cinematograph techniques in the documentary film "Bara (The Flame)" in the study of narrative camera techniques. The narrative camera itself is used as a character in a camera setup by a filmmaker and is also used to build messages through visuals built into the film. This type of research is curative research with qualitative descriptive methods, the data used in this study are visual data obtained from a cinematographic approach. Research data was obtained from the visuals in the film Bara (The Flame). Additional data was obtained from interviews with filmmakers and producers from Arfan Sabran and Ishak Iskandar. Data is obtained from documentation techniques by watching films repeatedly so as to get the data needed. The data obtained in this film is in the form of shot pieces containing messages (non-verbal) in the form of behavior/morals of Mr. Iber as the subject in the film. The cinematography technique contained in the film emphasizes realism where images are taken with a camera grip or handheld, or without using tools to make the movement of the camera more natural or like an eye view in a real situation. Real illusions make the subject feel close to the audience so that it successfully depicts non-verbal messages, depictions of messages through gimmicks, and the behavior of the subject (Mr. Iber). Several shots show the totality of Mr. Iber, such as taking care of customary forest documents and directly extinguishing forest fires.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the news framing scheme for the issue of postponing the 2024 Election on TVOne's "Dua Sisi" program, the More Gaduh episode of President's Term Extension. This study uses a qualitative approach with the method of media framing analysis, namely the Robert N Etman framing analysis model. The data collection technique was carried out by analyzing documents related to the discourse on the postponement of the 2024 Election and dividing it into four elements, namely (problem) defining the problem, (diagnosing causes) estimating the source of the problem, (making moral judgment) moral decision, (treatment recommendation) emphasizing resolution. The results of this study indicate that TVOne's “Dua Sisi” program tends to defend the president. Defining the problem in the discourse of postponing the 2024 election is against the constitution, the estimated source of the problem of postponing the election heats up after it was raised by three political parties supporting Jokowi, moral decisions should be subject to and obey the constitution, emphasizing the solution, namely that everyone has the right to voice their opinion as a democratic country. The construction of news about the postponement of the 2024 election can be seen from the topics of discussion, the arrangement of questions or narratives, the selection of sources, and the display of visual images showing a tendency to construct news. The implication of this research is that the media is able to lead public opinion from news that is constructed to be conveyed to the public. Newsreaders should not receive information from just one source.

Abstract

This journal aims to describe the form of organizational empowerment of the Enrekang Inclusion Disabled Association in empowering people with disabilities in Lakawan Village, Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency, and how the results of the Enrekang Inclusion Disabled Association organizational empowerment in empowering persons with disabilities in Lakawan Village, Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency. In the explanation of this journal, this type of research is qualitative research that uses a community development approach, especially from the aspect of increasing the capacity of people with disabilities and various series of activities such as observation, interviews, and documentation. At the same time, the data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of this study indicate that there are six forms of empowerment of the Enrekang Inclusion Disabled Association: (1) Independent and mental training, (2) Sign language training, (3) Skills training, (4) Accompanying assistance, (5) Gathering, (6) Assistance venture capital. The results of empowering people with the Enrekang Inclusion Disabled Association: (1) Self-acceptance, (2) Community recognition, (3) Special health insurance, (4) Economic improvement, (5) Government social support.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Instagram social media @sosmedmakassar as a medium for disseminating information about Makassar City. The type of research used is a quantitative approach and descriptive type. While the objects in this study were Journalistic students at UIN Alauddin Makassar class of 2018, 2019, and 2020 as many as 145 people also became followers of the Instagram account @sosmedmakassar as respondents were selected by simple random sampling technique. The theory used is the theory of Effectiveness, Maslow's Hierarchical Needs theory from Maslow and the Information Needs theory used to analyze the results of the research.Data collection was carried out through online questionnaire distribution techniques. Data analysis techniques use measurement aids with a Likert scale and use simple linear formulas, validity tests, reliability tests, and t-tests. The results of the analysis are presented in the form of numbers which are then explained and interpreted in a description.The results of this study indicate that the Instagram account @sosmedmakassar is effective in fulfilling the information needs of Makassar City for UIN Alauddin Makassar Journalism students. This can be seen from the results of tests carried out by means of the multiple correlation test, the results show that the R values ​​(Correlation Coefficient) are 0.94 (effectiveness), 0.90 (caption)), and 0.119 (attention), because the R values ​​are at 0.80 – 1.000, variable X has a very strong relationship with variable Y. In addition to testing the hypothesis, hypothesis testing is done by means of the T-test using the paired sample t-test formula. The results show that t count > t table = 1,725 ​​> 1,655 (effectiveness), 2,581 > 1,655 (caption), and 1,776 > 1,655 (attention), so H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, where H1 is the Instagram account @sosmedmakassar effective in fulfilling information needs Makassar City to journalistic students at UIN Alauddin Makassar.The researcher hopes that further research will be able to expand the scope of the research area so that it can represent the actual situation because the research was only conducted at UIN Alauddin Makassar journalistic students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of exposure to news coverage of the Ferdy Sambo case in online media for students of the Faculty of Dakwah and Communication, the level of student trust in the police after experiencing exposure to the news on the Ferdy Sambo case, and the influence of exposure to the news on the Ferdy Sambo case on the level of student trust in the police institution. This study uses a quantitative approach to the survey method. The sample in this study were all active students of the Faculty of Da'wah and Communication at UIN Alauddin Makassar, namely 100 respondents based on the results of calculations using the Slovins formula through the random sampling method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The instrumentation test used is the validity test and reliability test. The data analysis technique used is the classical assumption test (normality test and multicollinearity test), simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results showed no significant effect on exposure to the news about the Ferdy Sambo case in online media on the level of student trust in the police. The magnitude of the effect as the R2 value obtained was -0.021, in other words -2.1% exposure to the Ferdy Sambo case as an influence on the level of student trust in the police institution. Then based on the results of the hypothesis test (t-test), it is known that the t-count is -0.206, where this value is smaller than the t-table value of 1.98447 at a significance level of 0.05 so Ha is rejected and H0 is accepted. The results of this study, do not support the syringe theory because it does not prove that the mass media has a fast, direct, and consequential impact in stimulating audiences.

Abstract

The main problem in this study is the persuasive communication strategy of the religious affairs office (KUA) in socializing the prevention of early marriage in North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency. Then the subject matter is further divided into several sub-problems, namely: 1) how is the persuasive communication process of the religious affairs office in socializing the prevention of early marriage in North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency? 2) What are the inhibiting and supporting factors of KUA in socializing the prevention of early marriage in North Sinjai District? This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Testing the validity of the data is carried out by increasing the diligence of reading repeatedly, and examining library materials and documents which are referenced in this study. The result of this study is that the persuasive communication of the religious affairs office (KUA) in socializing the prevention of early marriage in North Sinjai District, Sinjai Regency is first, clarity of purpose. Second, think carefully about the person at hand. Third, choose the right communication strategy. The inhibiting factors faced are different perceptions of society and inadequate levels of education. Supporting factors are adequate facilities and infrastructure, the existence of community groups, ta'lim assemblies that help in socializing the prevention of early marriage.

Abstract

Penilitian ini membahas tentang Humor dan Hikmah (Analisis Isi Dakwah Pada Akun Instagram @dasadlatif1212). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Mengapa Ust. Das'ad Latif memilih media Instagram sebagai Media Dakwah, Humor dalam dakwah Ust Das'ad Latif di Akun Instagram @dasadlatif1212 dan Hikmah dalam dakwah Ust. Das'ad Latif di Akun Instagram @dasadlatif1212. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analisis isi dengan teknik deskriptif dan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Dalam rangka mendapatkan data dalam penelitian ini, maka penulis menggunakan teknik antara lain, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Ust. Das'ad Latif kerap membahas perempuan di dalam dakwahnya karena melihat kebiasaan perempuan yang terkadang tidak dapat menjaga sikapnya serta akhlaknya yang seharusnya dapat menjaga tingkah lakunya. Dalam akun Instagramnya @dasadlatif1212, ditemukan pesan dakwah humor yang mengandung akhlak sebanyak 3 pesan di antaranya akhlak terhadap sesama, akhlak terhadap orangtua, dan akhlak terhadap pasangan. Dalam pesan dakwah humor tersebut, ditemukan ada 3 (tiga) video dakwah yang membahas tentang perempuan yaitu Pertanyaan Dongok yang di dalamnya diucapkan kata ibu sebanyak 25 (dua puluh lima) kali dan kata istri sebanyak 7 (tujuh) kali, Tips Hadapi Omelan Istri dengan kata istri sebanyak 5 (lima) kali, dan Kita yang Cicil Dia yang Ambil dengan kata istri sebanyak 5 (lima) kali dan kata ibu sebanyak 6 (enam) kali. sedangkan pesan dakwah hikmah mengandung akidah sebanyak 3 (tiga) pesan di antaranya Allah Maha Penyayang, percaya akan kuasa Allah, dan keyakinan terhadap takdir Allah, pesan dakwah hikmah mengandung syariah sebanyak 1 (satu) pesan yaitu siyasah, dan pesan dakwah hikmah mengandung akhlak sebanyak 2 (dua) pesan yaitu akhlak terhadap sesama.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to find out the strategy for the Jokka-Jokka Program at the Fridayanki Event for the new media content unit implemented by TVRI South Sulawesi in managing YouTube. (2) Knowing the obstacles faced by the Jokka-Jokka Program at the Fridayanki Event in live streaming TVRI South Sulawesi's YouTube.The method used is a qualitative research method with a communication science approach, data collection techniques, in-depth interview techniques, observation, and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research informants consisted of 7 people, namely 5 new media content unit teams, 2 audiences who accessed live streaming shows or the Jokka-jokka and Jumatanki content programs on YouTube TVRI South Sulawesi to find out the obstacles faced by the new media content team and access content on YouTube.The results of the study showed that the strategy carried out by the Jokka-Jokka Program at the Fridayanki event in managing YouTube, namely the TVRI South Sulawesi new media content team conducted a location survey for shooting. Furthermore, the TVRI South Sulawesi new media content team carried out various live-streaming production processes through social media including YouTube. Then be more productive and innovative in making and taking pictures for the needs of new media content units. Create new media content with an attractive presentation for the audience. Finally did a delayed broadcast for live streaming problems. The obstacle faced by the Jokka-Jokka Program in conducting live streaming on Youtube TVRI South Sulawesi is the lack of sufficient equipment in place. Unstable internet network and limited electricity. Then unravel operational orders for production. The last amount is less.
