Abstract

The main problem of this research is how the pricing strategy is in determining the Umrah package at PT Raihanah Awaliyah Makassar. In this research there are two problem formulations, namely (1) What is the pricing strategy for the Umrah package at PT Raihanah Awaliyah Makassar? (2) How are prospective pilgrims' responses to the pricing strategy for the Umrah package at PT Raihanah Awaliyah Makassar? This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type, which is conducted by looking for data directly in the field. This research uses a scientific approach to Hajj and Umrah management, especially regarding the pricing strategy in determining the Umrah package. The data sources used in this research are primary data sources and secondary data sources. Primary data sources are in the form of observation results, interviews with the president director, staff and prospective pilgrims of PT Raihanah Awaliyah Makassar and direct documentation from the field, while secondary data sources are in the form of data obtained from books, journals, the internet, literature, and other readings related to the research. The results of the study obtained that the pricing strategy for the Umrah package at PT Raihanah Awaliyah Makassar first used an adaptive strategy, where the package price was adjusted; cost-based pricing (based on operational costs); value-based pricing (based on the value given to consumers); price transparency to maintain customer trust; and pricing without fake discounts (non-promotional pricing) by not implementing fake discount strategies in its promotions. Travel confirms their commitment to integrity and fairness in pricing. Meanwhile, the response given by prospective pilgrims was very positive; by assessing the cheap price and good facilities, price transparency and satisfactory service, price comparisons, and recommendations from relatives (word of mouth), this has resulted in an increase in prospective pilgrims from year to year. The implications of this study are: 1) It is hoped that PT Raihanah Awaliyah Makassar will provide facilities for picking up pilgrims' luggage at their respective homes. 2) It is hoped that prospective pilgrims can be more careful in choosing each package offered and pay attention to the facilities of each package so that they can worship comfortably and be open with travel.

Abstract

The main problem is “What is the role of Islamic religious counselors in the practice of corpse care for the Nurul Hidayah Taklim Assembly in Lambai Village, Lambai District, North Kolaka Regency with the formulation of the problem?”1. How are the Efforts of Islamic Religious Counselors in Guiding the Practice of Corpse Care for the Nurul Hidayah Taklim Assembly in Lambai Village, Lambai District, North Kolaka Regency, 2. What are the results of corpse care practices for the Nurul Hidayah Taklim Assembly in Lambai Village, Lambai District, North Kolaka Regency? The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research type, which was located in Lambai Village, Lambai District, North Kolaka Regency. The primary data source is the Islamic Religious Counselor Mariama, as a key informant, and additional informants, namely, Basse Marwati, Nuryatim, Buatimo, Nartin, Juwita, Musnidar, and Nirwana. The Guidance Approach used in this context involves religious aspects using theories based on Islam. Then the secondary data sources are books, journals, articles, and banners. Data collection methods are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used by researchers are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.  The results of this study indicate that the efforts of Islamic religious counselors in the practice of corpse care for the Nurul Hidayah Taklim Assembly in Lambai Village, Lambai District, North Kolaka Regency: 1. Explaining the stages of preparation of personnel mental and spiritual preparation, 2. Explaining the procedures of bathing the corpse, 3. Conveying the procedures for praying for the corpse, 4. Conveying how to bury the corpse. The results of the practice of corpse care for the Majelis Taklim Nurul Hidayah in Lambai Village are 1. Understanding the preparation stage, 2. Understanding the stage of procedures for bathing and shrouding the corpse, 3. Being able to pray for the corpse, and 4. Being able to bury the corpse. The implications of this study are: 1. For Islamic religious counselors in Lambai Village, they are always ready to provide training and motivate the people of Lambai Village regarding corpse care. 2. For the Majelis Taklim Nurul Hidayah, to have an awareness of the importance of carrying out fellow human duties such as corpse care, which is a noble task and has its own reward in the sight of Allah swt.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of journalistic ethics in the coverage of the public debate of the 2024 Sulawesi gubernatorial and vice gubernatorial candidates by Kompas TV Malaysia. The research is based on the importance of the role of media, especially local television, in conveying accurate, balanced, and objective political information to the public. In the context of the election, public debate is a crucial moment for both parties to convey their vision and mission, so that media coverage of this election has the potential to greatly influence public opinion and voter preferences. This study uses a qualitative approach with content analysis and refers to the theory of journalistic ethics developed by Bill Kovaich & Tom Rosenstiel, and Edward Spence & Peter Denyer-Simmons, which emphasizes the importance of the principles of truth, independence, verification, and public trust. The results of the study indicate that Kompais TV Maikaissair tries to apply the principles of journalistic ethics in public debt coverage, such as maintaining independence, fairness, and accuracy of information. However, it is still possible, especially in the face of political tensions, potential bias, and the dynamics of media and social media convergence that lead to disinformaisi. The results of the study show that Kompas TV Maikaissair consistently strives to implement the principles of journalistic ethics in reporting public affairs, such as maintaining independence from political interests, providing fair space for all potential competitors, and conducting strict verification of every piece of information that is broadcast. However, this study also found significant differences, other external pressures from political actors, potential unintended bias, and competition with social media that often disseminate information without verification. In this context, journalists as guardians of democracy and guardians of information integrity become crucial competitors. Important implications, both theoretically and practically, that can be used as references for various related parties. 1) Research Implications. 2) Theoretical Implications. 3) Practical Implications., and the right shooting time at crucial moments that reinforce messages about the importance of health protocols and social adaptation during the pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the da'wah messages, language style, and packaging techniques in the three most popular videos of the TikTok account @kadamsidik00 owned by Husain Basyaiban, using a descriptive qualitative approach and Roland Barthes' semiotic theory. The results of the study show that the da'wah messages conveyed include the themes of Akidah, Akhlak, and Sharia, packaged in relaxed, contemporary language, and simple visuals that are easy to understand and relevant to the younger generation. The delivery techniques used include short duration, no background music, light delivery style, and minimalist editing. The implications of this study indicate that social media such as TikTok can be an effective and flexible means of da'wah in reaching society in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the role of opinion leaders as sources of political information during the 2024 Regional Head Election in Central Mamuju. Opinion leaders individuals with knowledge and influence function as intermediaries who filter and interpret political messages for the public. The research aims to (1) understand their role in informing the public, and (2) identify the factors influencing their candidate preferences. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, with triangulation ensuring validity. Findings show that opinion leaders significantly influence voters by conveying political information through social networks and interpreting mass media content, consistent with the Two-Step Flow theory. Their political preferences are shaped by candidates’ integrity, vision, communication skills, moral values, and support from political parties, although personal qualities are considered more decisive. These findings are expected to support the development of more effective political communication strategies for candidates and parties.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use and effectiveness of the WhatsApp Channels feature among Journalism students at UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research is grounded in the Uses and Gratifications Theory to explore the respondents' motives, duration, and frequency of access. Effectiveness is measured using the Effectiveness Theory with five indicators: program comprehension, target accuracy, timeliness, goal achievement, and tangible change. This research applies a quantitative method through surveys or questionnaires distributed to 147 respondents. Data processing was carried out using descriptive analysis with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25.The results show that the majority of Journalism students use the WhatsApp Channels feature primarily to fulfill their need for information, indicating that most respondents utilize the feature to seek and obtain news and information. The average access duration is less than one hour per day, categorized as light viewers, with an access frequency of 1–3 times per day, indicating efficient and rapid information retrieval. The level of effectiveness in using this feature has an average score of 3.61, which falls into the effective category. This indicates that WhatsApp Channels are effectively used as a source of information for Journalism students. The implications of this study suggest that the WhatsApp Channels feature can serve as an effective news source for users. Future research may broaden the theoretical framework to explore additional factors influencing the effectiveness of this feature. Furthermore, content managers should consider developing the feature further to enhance its effectiveness in delivering news.

Abstract

Abstract: The main issue in this research is: "How is the role of Islamic Religious Counselors in the development of religiously moderate families in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency?" The research questions are: (1) What are the programs of Islamic Religious Counselors in the development of religiously moderate families in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency? (2) How successful are the Islamic Religious Counselors in developing religiously moderate families in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency?. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method located in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency, with a case study approach. The primary data sources in this research are Jabbar Tahuddin as the key informant, and ten assisted families from Mata Allo Village as additional informants. Secondary data sources include books, theses, journals, literature, and other supporting references. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that the role of Islamic Religious Counselors in fostering religiously moderate families in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District, Gowa Regency is carried out through several programs: (1) Interfaith Dialogues for religious moderation in the religious moderation village of Mata Allo, Bontomarannu District; (2) Dissemination of religious moderation values in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District; and (3) Inter- and intra-religious dialogues in Mata Allo Village, Bontomarannu District. The success of the Islamic Religious Counselors in this effort is marked by: (1) Families gaining an understanding of religious moderation; (2) Families showing tolerance and fairness; and (3) Families demonstrating self-control in practicing religion.

Abstract

The main problem of this research is the Islamic Communication Perspective on Dui Menre' (spending money) in Ballere Village, Wajo Regency. This main problem is then broken down into several sub-problems or research questions, namely: 1). What is the Communication Process for Determining the Amount of Dui Menre' in Ballere Village, Wajo Regency? 2). What is the Islamic Communication Perspective on Dui Menre' in Ballere Village, Wajo Regency? This research is a qualitative research using a case study approach. Data sources consisted of religious leaders, traditional leaders, and community leaders. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, documentation, and reference tracing. Data analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research examines the communication process in determining the amount of dui menre' (spending money) in Bugis wedding customs in Ballere Village, Wajo Regency. Dui menre' symbolizes the responsibility of the groom. Although not included in the pillars of marriage in Islam, it is still considered important according to tradition. The determination process involves three stages: mammanu'-manu', madduta, and mappaserrekeng, reflecting cultural and Islamic communication values. The amount of the dui menre' is influenced by the prospective bride's social status, ancestry, education, and occupation. Islam does not require dui menre', but prioritizes the principles of deliberation, honesty, and non-burdensomeness. The implications of this research indicate the need for more open communication patterns that take into account the economic conditions of both parties. Furthermore, public understanding of the position of dui menre' in Islam is still limited, as it is often equated with the dowry (sadaq), when in fact only the dowry is required. Religious leaders, KUA counselors, and preachers play a crucial role in conveying Islamic communication principles such as sincerity, simplicity, and justice through da'wah, premarital guidance, and marriage advice. Thus, Islamic communication can bridge the gap between preserving local culture and implementing Islamic law for the common good.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the SP4N Lapor application as a complaint handling platform in improving the quality of public services in Gowa Regency. This study applies a qualitative approach using a case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews with relevant parties, field observations, report analysis, and documentation collection. The results show that SP4N Lapor plays a significant role in strengthening public participation, accelerating government agency responses to complaints, and increasing accountability and transparency in public services. However, there are still obstacles such as a lack of application socialization at the community level, and there are still several complaints that have not been followed up by several agencies due to budget constraints. These findings imply that they can contribute to understanding the needs and expectations of the community in using the complaint platform. It is hoped that public participation in reporting complaints will increase, thereby creating a more accountable and responsive environment.

Abstract

The main problem in this research is "How do career women form a harmonious family in Bontongan Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency?" with the following research questions:1) What are the efforts of career women in forming a harmonious family in Bontongan Village, Baraka District, and Enrekang Regency? 2) What are the results of the efforts of career women in forming a harmonious family in Bontongan Village, Baraka District, and Enrekang Regency? This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type located in Bontongan Village, Baraka District, and Enrekang Regency, with a harmonious family guidance approach. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this research show that the efforts of career women in forming a harmonious family in Bontongan Village, Baraka District, and Enrekang Regency are 1) increasing faith in the household. 2) Managing time well. 3) Maintaining communication among family members. 4) Creating comfort in the home. 5) Loving and being open with each other. 6) Being responsible towards family. The results of the efforts of career women in forming a harmonious family in Bontongan Village, Baraka District, Enrekang Regency are: 1) The formation of an Islamic family. 2) The creation of a harmonious family. 3) The creation of a family full of love and affection. 4) The creation of a prosperous family. The implications of this research are: 1) Career women need to understand that their role as working women and homemakers in forming a harmonious family is very important. 2) Religious counselors need to work with the Head of Bontongan Village to improve guidance programs for harmonious families. Religious counselors also need to develop strategies or methods in forming harmonious families to increase community knowledge about harmonious families. 3) The community needs to support career women in forming harmonious families.
