Abstract

This study focuses on understanding the role of social workers and the impact of psychosocial therapy on the well-being of people with physical disabilities at Sentra Wirajaya. This study uses a qualitative approach with the aim of gaining an in-depth understanding of the role of social workers in improving the well-being of people with physical disabilities through psychosocial therapy at Sentra Wirajaya Makassar. The results of this study indicate that social workers at Sentra Wirajaya Makassar play a strategic and multidimensional role in improving the well-being of people with physical disabilities. Through their functions as facilitators, counselors, companions, and service connectors, social workers are able to help clients build self-confidence, increase independence, and expand access to various social services. The psychosocial therapy implemented, such as counseling, social skills training, and organizational activities, has a positive impact on clients' psychological and social conditions, including increased self-confidence, motivation, and social participation. However, challenges such as low internal motivation among clients, limited facilities, and a shortage of professional staff remain obstacles to optimizing the program. The implications of these findings are: 1) This study reinforces the concept that social workers play a multidimensional role in improving the well-being of individuals with physical disabilities. 2) Institutions need to improve the consistency of schedules and the capacity of staff to ensure that psychosocial therapy programs run optimally. 3) Further research is recommended to evaluate the long-term effectiveness of psychosocial therapy programs and analyze factors influencing client motivation.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of "What are the account manager's strategies for producing informational content on the @tamanwisatapuncak_official Instagram account?" The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the efforts of the @tamanwisatapuncak_official Account Manager in producing informational content, and 2) To identify the obstacles faced by the @tamanwisatapuncak_official Instagram account manager in producing informational content. This research is classified as descriptive qualitative, using a communication science approach. The primary data sources for this study are the account manager, editor, and director. Secondary data sources include books and the internet. Furthermore, the data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques are then carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that 1) the efforts of the @tamanwisatapuncak_official Instagram account manager in producing informational content include: Pre-production stages consist of determining the concept and content idea, planning the location and shooting time, and preparing production equipment. 2) The production stages include efforts to capture videos and images on location. 3) The post-production stages consist of editing, revising, and publishing. 2) The obstacles faced by the @tamanwisatapuncak_official Instagram account manager in producing informational content include unstable network, lack of production team (human resources), lack of content equipment, and visitors' refusal to be photographed. Research implications: 1) Theoretical implications: contributing to the development of digital communication studies, particularly in the context of informational content production strategies on social media. 2) Practical implications: serving as a reference for social media account managers, particularly in the tourism sector, in designing and implementing effective content production strategies. Furthermore, understanding technical constraints and limited resources can assist account managers in devising appropriate solutions. Additionally, understanding technical constraints and limited resources can help Account Management design solutions, such as HR training, planned production scheduling, and optimization of available editing and content tools.

Abstract

This study formulates two research questions: (1) the factors contributing to poverty in Lakotong Village, Manggarabombang District, Takalar Regency; and (2) the role of the local government in poverty alleviation to improve community welfare in Lakotong Village, Manggarabombang District, Takalar Regency. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method based on a social welfare perspective. The data sources consist of primary data obtained from interviews with several informants and secondary data derived from books and academic journals. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research instrument was the researcher themself. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that poverty in Lakotong Village is multidimensional, influenced by individual factors and cultural factors. The role of the local government in poverty alleviation in Lakotong Village can be identified through three main functions: (1) regulator, (2) dynamizer, and (3) facilitator. The implications of this study are as follows: (1) this research contributes to the development of social welfare studies, particularly in the analysis of poverty and the role of local government; and (2) this study provides guidance for social workers in designing empowerment-based interventions, strengthening community participation, and fostering synergy with local government policies to achieve sustainable welfare.

Abstract

This study examines the Role of Islamic Guidance and Counseling in Minimizing the Use of Non-Ethical Language among Ninth Grade Students at MTs Nurul Aeyn As’adiyah Kampung Baru, Tellu Siattinge District, Bone Regency. The research focuses on two main questions: (1) How do Islamic Guidance and Counseling teachers minimize the use of non-ethical language among ninth-grade students at MTs Nurul Aeyn As’adiyah Kampung Baru? (2) What are the outcomes of the efforts made by the counseling teachers in reducing non-ethical language among these students? This research employs a qualitative descriptive method using an Islamic counseling approach. The primary data source is Bahri as the key informant, supported by additional informants including Makmur, Husnah, Binti, and A. Asdar, along with three students: Muh. Norman, Syakilah, and Jumasna. Secondary data were obtained from books, journals, articles, and other references. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the researcher serving as the main instrument. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Islamic Guidance and Counseling plays a significant role in reducing students’ use of non-ethical language. (1) The strategies implemented by the counseling teacher include giving warnings, conducting mediation and personal approaches, providing individual and group counseling, administering educational sanctions, and collaborating with parents. (2) These efforts resulted in positive outcomes such as increased student awareness of their mistakes, reduced frequency of inappropriate language, enhanced understanding of ethical communication, decreased potential conflict, and the development of akhlaqul karimah among students. The implications of this study suggest that: (1) Islamic Guidance and Counseling teachers should continue to strengthen their skills in applying effective Islamic counseling methods, emphasizing personal approaches and collaboration with parents to nurture students’ ethical communication. (2) Students are expected to become more aware of the negative impacts of harsh language and develop better self-control to create a harmonious school environment.

Abstract

This study, entitled “The Dual Roles of Widows in Sustaining Livelihoods in Balang Beru Sub-District, Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency,” aims to explore the economic activities undertaken by widows to maintain their livelihoods and to analyze government programs designed to support their welfare. This research employed a qualitative approach grounded in post-positivist philosophy with a descriptive design. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews and direct observation with informants in the field, while secondary data were obtained through documentation. The findings indicate that widows in Balang Beru Sub-District perform dual roles in their daily lives. They manage to sustain their livelihoods through various economic activities despite limited resources and rely on social assistance programs provided by the government to improve their welfare. These assistance programs serve as essential support mechanisms that help mitigate the economic challenges faced by this vulnerable group. This study implies the need for continuous attention from local governments, especially in Binamu District, to address the needs of economically disadvantaged widows. It is recommended that policies be strengthened to ensure the sustainability of assistance and empowerment efforts for these women. Furthermore, widows are expected to fulfill their parenting roles responsibly and prioritize their primary obligations to their families.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the moral and humanitarian messages as well as the representation of bipolar disorder in the film Kukira Kau Rumah by Umay Shahab. The study uses a qualitative approach with case study methods and Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis (denotation, connotation, and myth). Data were collected through visual observation, scene documentation, and interviews with eight informants. The results of the study indicate that the film contains moral messages about the importance of empathy, social support, self-acceptance, awareness of treatment, and the removal of stigma against mental disorders. The representation of bipolar disorder is depicted through episodes of depression, mania, hypomania, and mixed states that illustrate the emotional dynamics of the main character. Abstract

This study examines the social worker intervention model in the empowerment of persons with disabilities at Sentra Wirajaya, Makassar City. The research problem is divided into three main focuses: (1) the stages of intervention implemented by social workers in the empowerment process; (2) the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the intervention; and (3) the impact of the intervention on improving the independence and social functioning of the beneficiaries. This study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Research informants included social workers, the head of the center, and beneficiaries with disabilities. Data were gathered from primary and secondary sources through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive overview of the intervention process. The results indicate that the social worker intervention model is structured systematically through the stages of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Interventions are carried out at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels through individual accompaniment, group activities, vocational skills training, as well as advocacy and social network strengthening. The model has proven effective in enhancing the capabilities, self-confidence, economic independence, and social functioning of persons with disabilities, despite facing constraints such as limited resources and social stigma. The implications of this study are expected to serve as a reference for social service institutions in developing more effective and sustainable empowerment-based intervention models. Furthermore, enhancing social worker capacity, providing adequate rehabilitation facilities, and strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders are essential to creating an inclusive, disability-friendly environment that enables persons with disabilities to live independently and participate actively in society.

Abstract

This study examines the broadcasting strategy of the Jejak Islam (Traces of Islam) program at TVRI South Sulawesi, focusing on two issues: (1) the forms of programming strategies applied, and (2) the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. A descriptive qualitative method was employed with a mass communication approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving six key informants at TVRI South Sulawesi, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The findings reveal that the Jejak Islam program's strategy operates through seven aspects: a travel-documentary format combining storytelling with expert talkshow segments; a cross-generational audience target approach featuring modern cinematography; strategic broadcast scheduling on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 18:29 WITA during the pre-iftar period; Islamic historical content thematic selection based on South Sulawesi's rich local heritage; a three-phase production process under budget constraints; multiplatform distribution via conventional television, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook; and a rerun mechanism mandated by the national TVRI headquarters every Ramadan. Supporting factors include the Ramadan momentum, rich Islamic heritage of South Sulawesi, experienced human resources, adequate infrastructure, and regulatory support. Inhibiting factors encompass intense competition from commercial TV and digital platforms, limited budget and human resources, and the perception among younger audiences that TVRI is outdated. Abstract

Penelitian ini menghadirkan tiga item rumusan masalah yaitu: Pertama, Bagaimana strategi dalam menyeleksi berita terkait isu politik yang dilakukan oleh media Terkini.id. Kedua, Bagaimana strategi dalam peliputan berita terkait isu politik yang dilakukan oleh media Terkini.id. Ketiga, Bagaimana strategi dalam penyajian berita terkait isu politik yang dilakukan oleh media Terkini.id. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama dua bulan, yakni januari-februari 2026. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasif, serta dokumentasi. Informan penelitian merupakan pimpinan redaksi, editor/redaktur, warwatan dan informan ahli. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan model Miles dan Huberman, melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi redaksi Terkini.id dalam meningkatkan kualitas pemberitaan politik diterapkan melalui tiga tahapan utama. Pada tahap seleksi berita, penentuan isu mengutamakan respons di media sosial dan dampak sosial bagi masyarakat Sulawesi Selatan. Pada tahap peliputan, redaksi menerapkan kebijakan selektif berbasis kompetensi melalui pendekatan multi-narasumber guna memperkuat akurasi dan meminimalkan bias. dengan tetap etis menghormati permintaan anonimitas sumber. Sementara pada tahap penyajian, proses dilakukan lewat mekanisme editorial berlapis, dan cek-ricek untuk memastikan akurasi khususnya isu yang menimbulkan konflik. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan teori komunikasi dan jurnalistik, khususnya terkait nilai berita, seleksi isu, dan proses produksi berita politik di media online. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa penentuan isu tidak hanya berdasarkan nilai berita konvensional, tetapi juga mempertimbangkan respons publik dan dampak sosial. Selain itu, strategi pemilihan narasumber dan pengembangan kompetensi jurnalis menekankan pentingnya validitas sumber dan etika jurnalistik, sekaligus memberi gambaran praktis dengan menekankan pentingnya pengembangan kompetensi jurnalis dan editor melalui pelatihan, diskusi politik, dan riset audiens, sehingga proses produksi berita menjadi lebih profesional, objektif, dan bermanfaat bagi masyarakat. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the da’wah communication strategies implemented by AG. Prof. Dr. H. M. Faried Wadjedy, Lc., M.A. in maintaining the existence of Darud Da’wah wal Irsyad (DDI) Mangkoso Islamic Boarding School in Barru Regency and to identify the challenges encountered. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving pesantren leaders, supervisors, and students at Campus 3 Putri Nurul Hidayah Bululampang. The findings indicate that the da’wah communication strategy is based on open, inclusive, and exemplary leadership communication, implemented through internal and external communication, applicative da’wah programs, and the use of digital media. The challenges include student diversity, limited facilities, and internal and external dynamics; however, these challenges can be effectively managed through persuasive communication and visionary leadership, enabling the pesantren to remain sustainable and trusted by the community.
