Abstract

The importance of this research lies in providing resistance training with assisted means for the technical performance, according to some biomechanical indicators, and its impact on the accuracy of the smash hit skill in volleyball, especially for the youth sample, who represent the basic pillar of the game, to ensure their learning of a technical performance based on a scientific basis, for this important skill and achieving more points and its impact on the result. The problem of the research was identified through following up on the developments in volleyball in general and the development of the smash hit skill in particular at the global and Arab levels, and its impact on determining the outcome of the match. The researchers observed that the technical level of this skill does not match the development and that there is a weakness and great fluctuation among young players in the level of accuracy of performance, which the researchers attribute to the lack of attention to improving the physical aspect according to the mechanical principles and rules, which is one of the most important problems facing those responsible for the training process. The objectives of the research were to prepare resistance training with assisted means according to some biomechanical variables to correct the accuracy of the smash hit in volleyball, to identify the statistical differences between the pre- and post-tests among some biomechanical variables to correct the accuracy of the smash hit in volleyball, and to identify the statistical differences between the pre- and post-tests for the accuracy of the smash hit in volleyball.The researchers used the experimental method with a one-group design, which is suitable for the problem to be researched, to complete the research process. The researchers identified the research population intentionally, who are the youth players (from the Volleyball Specialized Center in Dhi Qar Governorate, Shatra District), numbering (16) players, and the research sample was chosen, numbering (8) players, who represent (50%) of the original population. One of the most important conclusions is that the resistance training prepared by the researchers contributed to the development of some biomechanical variables for the smash hit.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effect of an educational program designed according to Marzano’s model of dimensions of learning on students’ acquisition of some basic skills in football, the researcher used experimental method on 60 students from faculty of Physical Education Sports Sciences at University of Maysan, divided into two groups, experimental control, each group consisting of 30 students. Educational program was implemented using Marzano's model of dimensions of learning on students in experimental group for a period of 4 weeks, with two educational units per week, as 3 educational units were allocated to each skill. Results of study showed effectiveness of educational program using Marzano's model dimensions of learning in learning some basic football skills among students in experimental group, with superiority over control group students led the researcher to recommend relying on Marzano's model dimensions of learning in learning basic skills in football, given its effectiveness in improving skill performance learning level of some basic football skills among students in experimental group.

Abstract

Visual imagination progresses through three stages. The first stage is called initial attention for learning, in which we perceive the movement as a whole but cannot see the finer details. For example, when the teacher performs, the learner sees The movement as a whole, without delving into its minute details, highlights the formula that contains the form and the ground. The second stage: the form appears more prominently than the ground, and the minute details begin to emerge It begins with understanding the whole shape, then moves on to its finer details such as the way things are held, the movement of the arm with the advance of the leg, etc. The learner begins with a holistic view of the situation and then understands its constituent elements. The third stage: In this stage, when the performance is presented to someone, they first perceive it as a whole, then examine its simpler parts and details in order to have a complete understanding of the performance. Abstract

This study aimed to identify impact of educational units based on Bybee 5Es model to develop some basic tennis skills. It also aimed to demonstrate effectiveness of Bybee 5Es model to improve performance of serve, forehand, and backhand strokes in tennis among national team players. The researcher used experimental method with a two-group equivalent design control and experimental as it was suitable for nature of problem to be solved. Study community consisted of 12 players from the national tennis team representing various Iraqi clubs, while sample was selected using simple random sampling. Educational units were implemented from 1/2/2026 until 1/5/2026, at a rate of two units per week, with a duration of 90 minutes for each educational unit, included 14 educational units. The researcher concluded from results that appeared that use of educational units using Bybee 5Es model had a positive impact to learn and developing selected skills in research compared to methods used by coaches, as Bybee 5Es model contributed to enhancing understanding and applying skills accurately and correctly. The researcher recommends adopting Bybee 5Es model as an important part of tennis training for players of different ages, applying this model in different sports, whether individual or group, and for both genders.

The research aims to develop a scale for creative leadership among the administrative leaders of the youth and sports directorates in the central region. The study aimed to identify the level of creative leadership among administrative leaders of youth and sports directorates in the central and southern regions. The researcher chose the descriptive survey method to suit the nature of the research, and a sample was selected. The purposive research was conducted among general managers, department heads, division heads, and unit heads in the Youth and Sports Directorate in the Central and Southern regions for the year 2025-2026. The research sample consisted of (238) individuals, representing (100%) of The population consisted of (238) individuals. The questionnaire was distributed to the sample and retrieved by the researcher. The exploratory experiment sample consisted of (10) administrators. The construction sample included the construction team. The sample, selected using stratified random sampling (proportional sampling), consisted of (100) administrators. The main application sample included (128) administrators. One of the most important conclusions was the development of two leadership scales. Abstract

The current study aims to reveal effectiveness of using modified Jigsaw method, based on individual and group competition, in developing skill performance between pre-test and post-test for some basketball skills, also aims to identify differences in cognitive achievement of some basketball skills in post-test, based on modified Jigsaw method, based on individual and group competition. The researchers used experimental method to suitability of the study. The study was conducted on first-year students at Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences University of Mosul during academic year (2023-2024). Total number of students was 285 male and female students representing 9 sections, sample included two sections selected by lottery, after excluding female students' section, total number of sample was 60 students. The researchers excluded a number of students from experimental groups and ensured equivalence between the groups in terms of main variables and some elements of physical fitness and motor skills that affect learning some basketball skills. The researchers adopted an experimental design. The study involved two equivalent experimental groups with pre- and post-tests. A specialized educational program was developed for each group, focusing on specific basketball skills, using proposed teaching methods, program was implemented over six weeks, with one teaching unit per week for each group. Post-tests were administered after experiment. Results showed that first experimental group, which studied using modified Jigsaw method based on individual competition, achieved better cognitive and skill-based results in some basketball skills compared to second experimental group.

Abstract

Javelin throw is a fundamental skill in physical education curricula, combining muscular strength, motor coordination, and precise technique. Despite its importance, many female students face difficulties in acquiring this skill due to a lack of individual guidance and structured training. This study aims to enhance quality of teaching in physical education colleges by presenting a distinguished teaching model, providing empirical evidence of effectiveness of educational packages in teaching complex motor skills, and improving students' physical fitness and muscular strength, thereby contributing to raising their overall athletic performance. The researcher used an experimental method with a two-group equivalent design using pre- and post-tests, as it is suitable for nature of problem being addressed. Research community consisted of first-year students at Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Al-Muthanna University, during 2022-2023 academic year, total number of students was 120, distributed across six classes, sample was selected from first-year female students in two classes (A and B). Male students were excluded, as the research focused solely on female students. A limited number of students were selected to ensure equivalence of sample, resulting in a final sample size of 25 female students. Results showed significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores in all tests, favoring post-test scores, there were significant differences in post-test scores favoring experimental group, teaching using educational package, with its various tools and methods, contributed to improving learning of javelin throw and enhancing physical abilities associated with event, use of educational package was more effective than traditional physical education teaching method in teaching and improving technical performance and achievement of javelin throw among research participants.

Abstract

Objectives: To examine the effects of training exercises prescribed according to the lactate-threshold load on selected neurotransmitters, biochemical indicators, and physical and motor performance among young boxers. Materials and Methods: A one-group experimental pretest–posttest design was employed with a sample of young boxers. Participants completed a structured exercise program in which the training load was prescribed according to their lactate threshold and supported by artificial intelligence–based methods. Acetylcholine, serotonin, carbonic acid, haemoglobin, and selected physical and motor performance variables were assessed before and after the intervention. The pretest and posttest data were classified, analysed, and compared to determine changes following the program. Results: Significant differences were observed between the pretest and posttest measurements across all investigated variables, with the posttest results consistently favouring improved neurotransmitter responses, biochemical indicators, and physical and motor performance. Conclusions: Lactate-threshold–based training was associated with favourable changes in the measured physiological, physical, and motor variables among young boxers. Incorporating artificial intelligence–supported methods into training-load prescription may assist coaches in individualising exercise intensity and optimising athletic development. Further controlled studies with larger samples are needed to confirm these findings.

Abstract

Objectives: To examine differences in the reliability coefficients of a psychological scale according to the number of response alternatives and sample size. The study also sought to determine an appropriate number of response alternatives and sample size for estimating the reliability of psychological scales in physical education and sport sciences. Materials and Methods: A descriptive design incorporating survey and comparative methods was employed. The participants were 150 third-year female students, representing 13.63% of the target population. The Attitudes Toward Physical Sports Activity Scale was administered in three response formats comprising three, four, and five alternatives. Reliability coefficients were calculated and compared across the response formats and different sample sizes. Results: The reliability coefficients obtained from the three-, four-, and five-alternative formats were similar when the sample size exceeded 30 participants. As the sample size increased beyond 30, the coefficients converged regardless of the number of response alternatives used. Thus, sample size appeared to have a more meaningful influence on the stability of reliability estimates than differences among the three response formats. Conclusions: Psychological scales using three, four, or five response alternatives can produce comparable reliability coefficients when administered to samples larger than 30 participants. Researchers in physical education and sport sciences should therefore use more than 30 participants when estimating scale reliability to obtain more stable and dependable coefficients.

Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling dengan jumal 24 siswa putra. metode analisis data menggunakan deskripsi persentase.
