Abstract

Basic football techniques are essential skills that every player must master to perform effectively and achieve success. Football schools should teach these techniques from an early age so that young players can develop a strong foundation. This study aimed to assess the basic football skills of football school players and provide coaches with information for developing more effective training programs. A descriptive quantitative design was employed. The population comprised all football schools in Kunjang District, while the sample included 43 players aged 12 years. Data were collected through direct observation. The results showed that the players’ basic football skills were generally in the moderate category. Players with poor technical skills should receive intensive training, those in the moderate category should be given additional training, and players with good technical skills should continue regular training to maintain their performance.

Abstract

Research Abstract: Blocking is a fundamental skill in volleyball, comparable to the effectiveness of the spike, which has offensive advantages at the net. Furthermore, it has a psychological impact on the attacker, as the attacker's awareness of opposing players restricts their freedom to act decisively when serving. The ball is moved to the appropriate location and distracts him. The importance of this research lies in subjecting the sample to resistance training using TRX bands to verify their suitability and ability to enhance the skills of young players, thus benefiting them and strengthening national teams. The national research problem arose from the researchers' observations of some teams' training sessions. They noted that some coaches' failure to utilize such modern and advanced training methods could negatively impact biomechanical variables, as well as the adjustment of approach steps and proper utilization. The distance between the net and the player is crucial for achieving optimal skill performance. Therefore, the researchers decided to study this problem by developing resistance exercises using TRX bands, which could develop the strength needed by the player to achieve the correct movement path for performing the blocking skill. The offensive, but the research objectives are to prepare resistance exercises using TRX bands for some biomechanical variables and the accuracy of the offensive blocking skill, and to identify the effect of resistance exercises using TRX bands on some biomechanical variables between the pre-test and post-test. To determine the effect of resistance training using TRX bands on the accuracy of the offensive blocking skill between the pre-test and post-test, the researchers used an experimental method with a single group pre-test and post-test. The research population consisted of volleyball players from the specialized center. The study involved (16) players aged 16-18 years, from whom (8) players were selected to represent the research sample. These 8 players were chosen purposively and represent (50%) of the population. The most important conclusion is that resistance training using TRX bands had a significant impact on developing biomechanical variables among the players. The research sample is based on the fact that these exercises work to develop the ability.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the levels of positive personality strengths and psychological defense mechanisms among youth football players in Nineveh Governorate clubs, as well as to examine the relationship between these two psychological constructs. The research population comprised 16 football clubs in Nineveh Governorate. The research sample was randomly selected from the research population and included 30 players for scale reliability testing, 20 players for the exploratory study, 250 players as a construction sample, and 50 players as an application sample. After excluding 13 players due to incomplete responses, the final discriminant sample consisted of 187 players. The researcher employed a descriptive correlational approach, which was appropriate for the research objectives. The research instruments included two scales: the Positive Personality Strengths Scale and the Psychological Defense Mechanisms Scale. The psychometric properties (validity, reliability, and objectivity) of both scales were established. The researcher concluded that the research sample generally demonstrated positive personality strengths above the hypothetical mean and psychological defense mechanisms below the hypothetical mean, indicating that participants generally possessed a favorable degree of positivity that positively influenced their athletic performance. Furthermore, a significant negative correlation was found between the research variables (positive personality strengths and psychological defense mechanisms) among youth football players in Nineveh Governorate clubs. The researcher recommends enhancing scientific research activities in the field of positive personality strengths and psychological defense mechanisms and their implications for sports activities in Nineveh Governorate clubs, as well as conducting experimental research to strengthen positive personality traits and reduce maladaptive psychological defense mechanisms among players in the governorate's clubs.

Abstract

The power of the leg muscles is very influential on long shoot in fottball. This type o research is experimental research, to determine the effect of exercise and leg power on long shoot by comparing the mean pre-test results with the mean post-test results in the experimental group. The population in this study were 100 players of SSB Tuna Berhias Brebes and a sample of 20 players with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The result of the mean distance of kicks during the pre-test wa 35.49 m, while the mean distance of long shoot during the post-test was 38.48 m. I turned out that the mean value after being given the plyometric training method increased by 2.99 m or by 8.42%. t test value, Sig. pre test = 0.266> 0.05, it can b concluded that this hypothesis has a significant increase in ability. The conclusion i that there is a significant effect between jump to box plyometric training wint lon shoot on fotball.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of the partial learning method applied with two different procedures on the students' learning and achievement in the long jump. It also attempted to find out the influence of both methods coupled with different educational methods on increasing the strength of the off-going leg's take-off power. The researcher used the experimental approach. This study adopted an experimental research method, using 150 first-year students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Al-Muthanna University in the academic year 2024 – 2025 divided into six academic sections. The 4 sections, (C) and (D) were randomly picked by random lot and each had 23 students. A total of 40 of the students could be used for research after some of them were excluded to adapt for data equivalence and homogeneity. The results indicated statistically significant changes between the pre-test and post-test scores for both the experimental and control group following the experimental treatment in all of the variables investigated, in favor of the post-test of both groups. The difference between the two groups on the post-test was also statistically significant with the first experimental group in favor. Based on the technical sequence of movements in the long jump, the researcher believes that the superiority of the first experimental group was due to the use of the partial learning method. This facilitated mental perception of the technical performance and successfully impacted the students' skill performative as well as getting them positive results in achieving results. The various educational methods used in the curriculum also had a positive effect on long jump achievement.

Abstract

The importance of this research lies in studying organizational excellence, a modern administrative topic, and its application within a sports institution, specifically the sports club administrations in Maysan Governorate. To the best of the researcher's knowledge, no such study has yet been conducted. It is addressed through a study in the sports field, focusing on weaknesses to contribute to building a strong foundation for the health of sports organizations and institutions. The research problem was that sports clubs in Maysan Governorate One of the pillars of youth sports work involves several efforts to support its activities and strengthen its work by evaluating its results. Among these efforts are objective and purposeful scientific studies aimed at evaluating the various aspects of its inputs and Its operations, outputs, and accompanying administrative, technical, and support applications; and to the best of the researcher's knowledge, there is no scientific study that gives a clear picture of the level of the heads of sports clubs in Maysan Governorate, as well as The research problem focuses on the level of organizational excellence in these clubs, addressing the following questions: Do sports clubs possess organizational excellence? And what is the level of this organizational excellence? The research aims to develop a scale To identify the level of organizational excellence in sports clubs from the members' perspective, the researcher used a descriptive approach with a survey method and correlational relationships. As a prelude to applying the research to it, the researcher divided it as follows: The exploratory experiment sample: It consisted of (11) members (from Al-Nasiriya Club and Maysan Sports Club). Their selection was purposeful, with a percentage of (6.34%), and the sample for constructing the organizational excellence scale included (90) members of the administrative bodies, representing (52.63%), and the sample of The application of the Organizational Excellence Scale included (70) members of the administrative bodies, and their percentage was (40.93%). One of the most important conclusions is the possibility of applying the Organizational Excellence Scale to other sports institutions such as sports clubs and federations.
