Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the correlation between leadership styles and the organisational culture present in Iraqi volleyball federations from the employees' viewpoint, as well as to determine if there are statistically significant differences at a level of ≤ 0.05 concerning organisational culture based on gender, educational background, and tenure. The investigators employed a descriptive-analytical approach, developing a leadership styles questionnaire encompassing four domains, each containing five statements, with an organisational culture questionnaire comprising 35 items divided into three primary categories. The poll was carried out on a random selection of 60 employees from volleyball organisations. The findings of the research suggested that employees perceived the organisational culture inside these unions as excessively elevated. The findings revealed statistically significant disparities in the average responses of male and female employees about organisational culture, with the differences favouring male workers. The research recommended that volleyball federations implement contemporary methodologies like brainstorming and improve teamwork to tackle their issues, while maintaining rigorous quality standards to foster a more productive and successful educational atmosphere.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the effect of the partial learning method applied with two different procedures on the students' learning and achievement in the long jump. It also attempted to find out the influence of both methods coupled with different educational methods on increasing the strength of the off-going leg's take-off power. The researcher used the experimental approach. This study adopted an experimental research method, using 150 first-year students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Al-Muthanna University in the academic year 2024 – 2025 divided into six academic sections. The 4 sections, (C) and (D) were randomly picked by random lot and each had 23 students. A total of 40 of the students could be used for research after some of them were excluded to adapt for data equivalence and homogeneity. The results indicated statistically significant changes between the pre-test and post-test scores for both the experimental and control group following the experimental treatment in all of the variables investigated, in favor of the post-test of both groups. The difference between the two groups on the post-test was also statistically significant with the first experimental group in favor. Based on the technical sequence of movements in the long jump, the researcher believes that the superiority of the first experimental group was due to the use of the partial learning method. This facilitated mental perception of the technical performance and successfully impacted the students' skill performative as well as getting them positive results in achieving results. The various educational methods used in the curriculum also had a positive effect on long jump achievement.

Abstract

One of objectives of current research is to reveal effectiveness of multi-level exercises in developing motor thinking in two research groups, to determine effectiveness of these basic exercises in learning some skills with a multi-level ball, and to predict difference between The difference observed between both research groups regarding creativity performance across variables examined within the present study. The present study adopted an experimental design to examine its procedures. The participants were second-year students enrolled in College of Education and Sports Sciences during academic year 2022–2023, They were selected by random drawing and then assigned to two equal groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 15 students in each group. Each group completed eight instructional units, and each unit lasted 90 minutes. The experimental group carried out progressive activity exercises. whereas the control group was taught using the instructor’s traditional approach throughout the duration of the study. According to the findings, the researchers determined that both progressive activity exercises and teacher’s selected instructional method contributed effectively to development of positive thinking and acquisition of several fundamental volleyball skills in both pre-test and post-test stages. In addition, results showed that experimental group achieved higher performance than control group in the post-test for both positive thinking and basic volleyball skill learning.

Abstract

This research sought to develop and implement a scale for administrative application for the leaders of scientific departments and to ascertain its normative levels from the perspective of the educators in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences. The investigator employed a descriptive approach utilising the survey technique, with a research population of 102 educators, categorised into a scale development sample (60 teachers), an application sample (30 teachers), and a survey sample (6 teachers). Upon deriving the principles of integrity, internal coherence, evaluative capacity, and uniformity, the finalised scale has 56 items categorised into four domains: (administration experience, decision-making, knowledge and information, and the organisational sector). The findings indicated the efficacy of constructing the scale and disseminating the research sample across five standard categories (excellent 11.66%, good 20%, average 41.66%, acceptable 16.66%, and poor 10%), with the highest proportion observed in the medium level and above. This commendable performance is ascribed to the amassed management expertise, intrinsic drive, and reciprocal trust between branch leaders and educators. The research advocated for the implementation of the proposed scale as a scientific instrument for assessing administrative efficacy, emphasising the necessity of conducting training programs to enhance the leadership and innovative capabilities of branch managers and supplying contemporary technologies to bolster administrative operations.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to investigate the correlation between mathematical self-esteem and achievement motivation in a sample of secondary school students. The sample size reached (200) male and female students. For the purposes of the study, two tools were applied, namely: the self-esteem scale and the achievement motivation scale, so that they were subjected to the necessary conditions of sincerity and consistency. Here are the results we obtained: there is a correlation between sports self-esteem and sports achievement motivation in the physical education class in the secondary stage. Some statistically significant differences on mathematical self-esteem attributed to the gender variable. The statistically significant differences are attributed to the gender variable in the mathematical achievement motivation.
