Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of student participation in enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education at AL-Hidayah Islamic Elementary School in Banjarmasin. The research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach, utilizing interviews and observations to collect data from students, teachers, and the principal. The findings indicate that active student participation, both in class discussions, extracurricular activities, and group projects, significantly contributes to understanding and applying religious values. Furthermore, student involvement also enhances learning motivation and social interaction among peers. This study concludes that optimizing the quality of Islamic Religious Education can be achieved through strategies that encourage student participation, which in turn creates a more dynamic and meaningful learning environment. Recommendations are provided for the development of more interactive teaching methods that actively engage students in the learning process

Abstract

Education is a process that is intertwined with both personal existence and society. In order to increase motivation and grow student learning activities, the teacher's function as a motivator is very important. The aim of this research is to find out how well teachers use motivation and to find out how much influence teacher motivation has on student learning achievement. In improving learning achievement, teachers must be able to develop motivation in every teaching and learning activity. For this reason, it is necessary to have a communicative teaching and learning atmosphere between teachers and students, because it can arouse students' learning motivation to carry out learning activities effectively and efficiently. This research uses a qualitative approach, namely describing and explaining the influence of teacher motivation on student learning achievement. The data collection technique used in this research is library study where library study is the activity of collecting materials related to research originating from books, scientific journals, literature and other publications that are suitable as sources for future research. researched by the author, by describing and explaining the data through several expert opinions. The results of this research show that good teacher motivation can significantly increase student learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how student participation can affect the enhancement of Islamic education quality in schools. Student involvement in the teaching and learning process is a critical factor that can improve overall educational quality. Using a qualitative approach, this research gathers data from library studies. The results indicate that active student participation in discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and group activities significantly contributes to the understanding and application of the lesson material. Students who are engaged in the learning process not only demonstrate a better understanding of Islamic concepts but also show increased motivation to participate in religious and social activities outside the classroom. Additionally, teachers who implement teaching strategies that encourage student participation, such as project-based learning methods, observe improved outcomes. In conclusion, student participation is a key element in enhancing the quality of Islamic education. To achieve optimal results, it is crucial for educators to create a supportive learning environment that fosters active student involvement. This study suggests that curriculum development and teaching methods in Islamic education should consider strategies that can enhance student participation as a means to improve quality

Abstract

The integration of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and character education is a holistic approach to the learning process which aims to develop students comprehensively, both from a spiritual and moral perspective. This research aims to examine the implementation of integration between PAI and educational character in educational institutions. PAI offers fundamental values ​​such as honesty, responsibility and empathy, which are in line with the goals of character education. In this context, the educational curriculum can be enriched by integrating Islamic principles in every aspect of teaching, both in religious subjects and general subjects. Models of exemplary behavior from educators, supportive extracurricular activities, and the application of case study-based teaching methods are important tools in facilitating students to understand and apply religious values ​​in everyday life. Dialogue and reflection also play a central role in this process, allowing students to think about and internalize religious teachings and character values. This approach aims to form individuals who not only excel academically, but also have strong character and noble character, ready to face social challenges with high responsibility and ethics.

Abstract

The family environment is the primary and initial setting for introducing knowledge to children, especially religious knowledge. This study aims to determine how the family environment can influence children's Islamic religious education. The research uses a literature review method. Islamic religious education is a crucial aspect of children's spiritual and moral development, where the role of the family is essential in this process. By reviewing various literatures and previous studies, this article identifies how parental upbringing, their involvement in religious practices, and the values applied at home affect children's religious education. The study finds that families actively engaged in religious activities, providing good role models, and creating a conducive environment for religious learning can enhance children’s understanding and practice of Islamic teachings. Conversely, a lack of family support or conflicts in religious values can hinder the development of children's religious education. These findings highlight that the family environment plays a crucial role in shaping children's religious education and emphasize the need for greater efforts to support the family's role in Islamic religious education

Abstract

The problem of education quality in Indonesia is still a concern, as seen from the results of TIMSS and the PERC survey which showed a low ranking compared to other countries in Southeast Asia. One of the fundamental problems is the low level of literacy of elementary school students, which is caused by inappropriate teaching methods, irrelevant teaching materials, and assessment approaches that have not been integrated with learning. This study aims to improve the effectiveness of the implementation of class-based assessment (CBA) and the development of contextual literacy tests in improving student literacy at SDIT Wadi Fatimah. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through analysis, observation, document studies, and literacy test results. The data analysis process was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The study showed that the implementation of CBA and the development of literacy tests based on Islamic values ​​significantly improved students' literacy skills. The average student literacy score increased from 68.5 in the first cycle to 82.3 in the second cycle. In addition, students' active participation in reading and creative writing activities increased by 40%. This study recommends that other educational institutions adopt PBK strategies and contextual test development to improve the quality of student literacy. Teachers also suggest integrating local or religious values ​​into teaching to create relevant and meaningful learning. This effort is expected to support the formation of a superior, characterful, and competitive generation

Abstract

Islamic child education is deeply rooted in the Qur'an and Hadith, extending beyond the mere transfer of knowledge. The concept of Islamic education aims to cultivate insan kamil, a complete individual who possesses a balance of faith, knowledge, and righteous deeds. The Qur'an explicitly commands parents to educate their children, both formally and informally. The Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW also provides detailed guidance on the methods and materials of education suitable for children's natural inclinations. This research will delve deeper into the objectives of child education from an Islamic perspective, by analyzing relevant verses of the Qur'an and Hadith. Furthermore, this study will compare the objectives of Islamic education with those of modern education to identify similarities and differences. This research also employs a library research method, with data collected from books, journals, and other supporting documents.

Abstract

Parenting styles play an important role in forming akhlaqul karimah, which is the main foundation for an individual's moral and spiritual development. This research aims to identify and analyze the parenting patterns applied at Sanggar Belajar Sungai Mulia, Selangor, Malaysia, in forming morals in children. A qualitative approach was used using in-depth interviews, direct observation and documentation studies. The research results show that the parenting style applied is combinative, combining democratic, religious and local cultural approaches. Parents and educators at this learning studio set an example through daily behavior, intensive religious learning, and strengthening character values ​​such as honesty, responsibility, and empathy. Apart from that, a conducive learning environment and community support also contribute to forming children's morals. This research emphasizes the importance of synergy between families, educational institutions and society in creating a generation with noble morals.

Abstract

The integration of Islamic education and technology plays a crucial role in developing the competencies and shaping the character of Muslims in the digital era. This study aims to examine how the integration of technology into Islamic education can enhance the quality of learning, expand access to information, and optimize the development of students' character. By utilizing technology, such as digital learning platforms, mobile applications, and social media, Islamic education can be delivered in a more engaging and relevant manner for the younger generation living in the digital world. Technology enables more interactive, flexible, and efficient learning methods while introducing Islamic values that can be applied in daily life in the online space. This study uses a qualitative approach with literature review and interviews to analyze how the combination of Islamic education and technology can support the development of academic competencies, digital skills, and resilient moral character in students. The findings indicate that this integration not only enhances technical skills and religious knowledge but also helps students better understand and apply Islamic teachings in facing the challenges of the modern world. Therefore, the integration of Islamic education and technology holds great potential in preparing a generation of Muslims who are capable of adapting to technological advancements without compromising strong religious values

Abstract

This study explores the concept of riba (usury) as understood within Fiqh al-Muamalat, the branch of Islamic jurisprudence that governs economic and financial transactions. Riba, which is strictly prohibited in Islamic law, presents ongoing challenges in the context of the modern global economic system that is largely interest-based. The paper aims to provide a clear understanding of the different types of riba, their historical and textual foundations in the Qur’an and Hadith, and how classical and contemporary Islamic scholars interpret them. It also examines the practical difficulties faced by Muslim-majority countries and Islamic financial institutions in aligning Shariah-compliant financial practices with global economic structures. The findings highlight the tension between religious doctrine and economic pragmatism, and suggest the need for innovative, ethically grounded financial solutions that uphold Islamic principles while engaging with the realities of the modern economy
